The world has run amok with those that consider themselves 'Shade Touched'. A small amount of dragons remain pure. Recently, a breakthrough has arrived. One entity houses the entirety of the Shade. If it is taken down, the world will be saved and the Shade will fall. A group of dragons have decided to hunt down this entity. You are part of this elite group. Until that one unlucky day where he came across a Shade artifact, and he managed to get a little Shade on his otherwise okay soul. Desperately wanting to find a cure before he went insane, he searched the lands, until he found a dragon that said he could try to cure it. His name was Sorrel. Unfortunately, he couldn't cure it, as the corruption ran too deep, but Sorrel could keep it at bay. Ludzon accepted this offer, since it was better than anyone else's "cures." He settled in with the clan, and even started a shade-exterminating service with his new friend. - (everything under here is just for the roleplay) Life was pretty normal for Ludzon. But the Shade was not done with him. Even though he was resistant to it (probably from being shade-touched in the first place,) it had still found a way to ruin his life once again. He had watched his whole clan fall, and he couldn't do anything about it. He could only flee, and hope the others managed to stay shade-free. After a couple of hard months on the run, he found the Shade Hunters, and he was absolutely thrilled. More dragons like him? And he could stop it, maybe even killing his own Shade within him? It was hard to say no. So he said yes. --- Ludzon is not afraid to express his opinion, to say the least. Even if this particular part of him was quieted by his life experiences, he still finds himself saying comments about others, which often leads others to dislike him, at least when he first meets them. It's also worth noting that he's nicer to people he knows, so you better be good friends with him if you want him to be completely nice to you. Being a former student, he's also intelligent, and can solve problems and puzzles with relative ease. He knows a lot about the Shade as well, due to his condition, and he hopes that he can use his large bank of knowledge to help the team. His physical ability is nothing special, although he does have quick reflexes and enough strength to pin down a dragon at least a little smaller than him, due to his job.

Mocha packed up all of her things one night and left her parents in search of adventure. She quickly found herself in a desperate situation and began to help out others in order to survive.

Sometimes, she regrets leaving her parents, but she makes sure that she doesn't think of the past very much. She makes it a point to always think of the future and to not dwell on the past.

Mocha wants to destroy the Shade Touched entity so that her name might become renowned throughout the world. She wants to become the most well-known hero to gain glory and to never have to worry about surviving again. She develops bonds with others for personal gain most of the time, but the true friendships she makes are strong.

Akio had heard of those who had been touched by the Shade, the demonic entity that wanted nothing but destruction, one of his clanmates had been touched by it even though it was on the down low. He had studied the condition with an intense focus born from his thousand year long existence. His reason for joining was simple in fact and that was to keep his family and clan safe from something as dangerous as that being. When his hatchling Kirian became shade touched, he was left in a world of grief as he watched one of his sons began to become something that wasn't himself. Watching his son suffer was something that he couldn't stand and so he began to look for ways to destroy the Shade, since his studies had only focused on containment or protection from it.

Lumin has always been different. Dragons were scared to be around him. Ever since his mother was corrupted by the shade dragons seemed to hate him for his circumstances. He hated them. If only they would just leave. But, when the shade started taking a strong hold on Sornieth he couldn't just watch it take over. So he left his clans protective barriers to join a group of shade hunters.
