Hey everyone! Making a RP!!
Here's the story!
A long time ago, a meteor struck the place our dragons call home. Nearly all life was wiped out, with only a few hundred dragons left. Most of these dragons were hatchlings or unhatched eggs that were protected especially well. As the few adult survivors raised their heads, they saw that everything they knew was wiped out. All around them was rubble.
This story however, takes place a long time later. After the survivors got together and regained their strength, they started rebuilding. They made new leaders and new ways of living. They created four tribes that would live in peace for hundreds of years. The tribes were as follow:
At a gathering being held to find the cause of these disasters, an old pearlcatcher appeared. She walked silently to the center of the clearing, through all the arguing. Her wings were ripped and mangled, she had only one shortened whisker, and on hanging by her side hung a large pearl strung by a thick red rope. The pearl was chipped, cracked, and as far from shiny as one can get.
As dragons from all tribes start to notice the elder, the angry accusations fade to anxious and confused murmurs. Still silent, the pearlcatcher took her ancient sphere off of her back and set it in front of her. She looks around for a moment, then speaks. Although her voice has age to it, it is louder than anyone expected.
"I come with a message!" she booms as she walks around the pearl in the center, "the great keeper has sent me to end your pointless bickering!" The elder comes closer to the dragons that have made a circle around her, trying their best to get a mere glimpse of the prophet. "Behold! Stare into the pearl! What do you see, but more arguing and fighting amongst yourselves!"
Sure enough, in the pearl, images of fighting and war emerge. This continues as the prophet speaks.
The crowd is silent, listening intently to hear what she has to say. "The keeper has sent me! He has sent me to tell you that he! The mighty keeper! Has the answer to your problems!"
A shout from the crowd is heard. "Well then?! Who is responsible! What tribe has been destroying our land?!"
"No tribe. I do not know what, but I know the cause is not one of you," the prophet explains.
At this, the crowd erupts.
"SHE'S CRAZY!!'
"THIS DRAGON HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT"
"THIS IS DUMB!!! WHO ELSE COULD HAVE SET FIRE TO THE FOREST!!!"
"WHO EVEN IS THIS KEEPER GUY!?!? I'VE NEVER HEARD OF HIM!"
"Very well. If you wish to perish, that is fine by me. You have until sunrise to send one or more representative from each tribe to this location to come with me to see the keeper. If this is not done, I leave and you all fight each other until nothing is left. It is your decision."
The female pearlcatcher walks over to a tree on the outskirts of the clearing wish her pearl and, despite all the ruckus, falls asleep, images of fighting and fear still flashing violently across the sphere.
