"Hey buddy, we're in business." Krova pulls the duffle bag off his back and sets it on the floor, rummaging through it. Mortos reaches into his robe and retrieves his pearl, then shakes it, making it glow a bright purple and hover in the air. "What?" Asks a hushed voice, seemingly emanating from the pearl. "Bright as you can." Mortos says, moving it to float over Destiny. "Hmm... how 'bout we don't." The voice replies. Mortos glares at it, smirking. "How about I put you back and leave you in the dark until we return to camp? Or, I could pay you back and let you do as you please so long as you stay near me for the rest of the night." "Fine." The voice says, even more hushed than before and the pearl lets off an even brighter purple glow.

Krova turns to Destiny, now crouching beside his supplies and double checking that his needles are clean. "I trust that your friend here knows what he's doing. Hopefully, the thread he used is strong enough to work. I'll just tighten them, probably add on a bit more so it shouldn't end up opening up like that again, make sure it's clean too." He rambles on, threading the needle and putting back a few spools of thread.

Souhayla glanced around with the slightest bit of a frown. “I don’t-” she started, and then sighed as she caught sight of Soloist doing his best to catch her eye. “Actually, I think something might have just come up- I hope you’ll excuse me,” she said.

The Nocturne bowed deeply. “It was lovely talking to you,” she added.

@Flamestar03

Aonani watched the new delegation enter and stepped forward. “Welcome,” she said with a slight bow. She wasn’t sure if good evening still applied, as it was becoming quite late and the moon was beginning to sink low in the sky. “I’m sorry to hear you had trouble on the road,” the Guardian added a little awkwardly.

“You’ll find the Proregina and her attendants in the ballroom, just down the long hall. The library opposite the ballroom is open to guests, as are the gardens.”

@SporkLord

Briefly, Aonani looks over the new arrivals for any sign of concealed weaponry. The thin Wildclaw woman unnerves her, but the other members of the delegation look friendly enough. “Welcome,” she says, and dips her head as she takes the envelope.

“You can find the Proregina in the ballroom, down the long hall. Can’t miss it,” she adds with a wave in the direction of the ballroom. Candlelight and laughter spill out into the hallway and the garden, lighting up the dusky air. “The library and gardens are also open to guests.”

@Alnilam

Velte nods, smiling. "Thank you." She leaves, looking for the Proregina, assuming it must be someone important, since she'd never heard that title before. Spotting an elegantly dressed Nocture who seems to fit in very well with the surroundings, she brushes off a bit of dust from her gown, frowning at the blood that she's never been able to quite wash out. She'd buy a new one, but she doesn't have the money to get a fancy one, and she knows no dressmakers. She sighs and approaches Souhayla, then feels like screaming. Her mother, Kvatyr, has already found the Nocturne and Xolotl is kneeling to put the two ladies more at eye level.

Velte hisses under her breath, having a strong feeling that trying to talk with who seems to be hosting the gathering while her mother is present and goofing around will only stir up more problems between them.

Velte turns around, now seeking Ragnarok, hoping to find some sort of comfort. Her blood boils when she sees Krova and Mortos messing around with their supplies. Not even fifteen minutes and already those two are showing off and helping people.

Ragnarok stands up, seeing a seething Velte approaching her. She walks up to her, and gently cups Velte's chin. "What happened, dear? Mommy issues again?" Staring at her, Ragnarok sees Velte's eyes drift towards Krova. Remembering all the suffering that Mirror's father caused him, she suddenly slaps Velte across her cheek. "I will not have a repeat of what happened with Vinten. My son is finally free and there's nothing you can do about it. Now, you're at a party, enjoy yourself and stay out of our business or I will talk to Kvatyr about this and send you home. Is that understood?" Velte nods, bottling up her anger. Still furious, she leaves them to explore the garden.

@DreaminginColor

Little does Velte know, it seems the Nocturne is about to leave. Catching the last bit of the conversation, Kvatyr looks to the Spiral with the bright red eyes, grinning. She lightly taps Xolotl's antler and he turns to face Leah. Kvatyr bows as best she can, sitting on her body guard's shoulders. "Evening, my dear. I assume this is the hostess, but it sounds like she has business to attend to. I couldn't help but notice your beautiful eyes. Are you from the Plaguelands as well?"

Ragnarok wanders, looking for Kvatyr again. Finally she finds her and stops beside Xolotl, catching Kvatyr's attention for a second, Ragnarok points to her, claps once, then drags a finger across her throat in a slicing motion. Having long ago adjusted to these sort of charades, Kvatyr points to herself, raising an eyebrow, then brings her thumb and index finger together. Ragnarok nods, points to herself, claps, taps her head, points to Kvatyr, claps again, then punches her own open palm. Kvatyr nods, and moves her hand in a circle, pointing at Leah with the other one. Ragnarok looks at Leah and waves. "Sorry about that. Family problems."

Leah blinked slowly at the new arrival and their strange shenanigans, before giving a small smile, murmuring a quick farewell to the Proregina. She shoved a mass of blonde locks over her shoulder, and lowered her eyes. She knew that eyes were indicative of birthplace, but the assumptions made based on that always made her feel exocitized. Even some of her clanmates made assumptions about what she wanted and what she missed.

“I was born in the Plaguelands,” she murmured. She glanced up at the other dragon. “But I’m a Windy at heart, truly.”

The BlueFlame Clan of the Ashfall Waste

"It's nothing to be ashamed of. Lovely place to be with some great residents. Though I must say, it's the same way with the Plateau in a completely different way. Fresh air and constant wind currents to soar on." Kvatyr giggles a bit, lightly flapping her wings. "Without this guy, flyin's just about the only way I can get around."

Ragnarok nods. "Atrophy. Can't move her arms or legs much, can barely even walk." "It's true!" Kvatyr adds. Ragnarok reaches towards Leah for a friendly handshake. "Nice to meet you. I'm Ragnarok and that's Kvatyr up there sitting on Xolotl."

((@Flamestar03 You still there? If not, I'm moving on with Krova and Mortos.))

(Ah, sorry!)

Spiritstar nodded and handed Krova the needle. "She doesn't exactly feel pain, so no need to worry about that." he said as he looked at the glowing eye sockets of the sparrow skulls on Destiny's necklace.

((It's alright. I was wondering because you seemed to have disappeared and I didn't want to leave the scene if you were still active and / or interested.))

Krova nods, taking the needle. "Interesting." He carefully pulls at the thread, loosening it and completely reopening the wound. He restitches it, pulling the thread tighter than before bringing the stitches closer together, wanting it to be as secure as possible. He'd never heard of someone's heart falling out, let alone it being a literal gem. "I've never heard of such conditions. If you don't mind saying why or what caused her to not feel pain and her heart being the way it is, I'd gladly listen. I may have been doing this for upwards of ten years, but I'm always interested on learning about rare and bizarre conditions." He keeps sewing the whole time he talks, ending off the original thread and using what he brought to close up the rest. He leans back and gives Mortos a thumbs up. Mortos taps his pearl and pulls it away, holding it up to his chest.

Spiritstar sighed, "Destiny, if you be so kind as to tell him while I grab Leafswirl's pearl?" he asked as he got up and walked over to Leafswirl, he whispered something to her and she nodded, handing him her pearl. "So, uh, I guess I'll start with my death and the reason it happened.... a while back, before I had even met Spiritstar, I wasn't like this. I was a normal dragon who's favorite pass-time was hanging out with my best friend, Indigo. She soon found out the she wasn't exactly a dragon. After she left to be with her kind all I could really do with my off time was bug the old commander, Ice. One morning, I guess I said the wrong things and offended her. She was very angery and offended, and though she didn't mean to....she killed me. Spiritstar found my body and brought it back to life. I learned a whole new way of seeing the world. And, here I am now." Destiny said, moving her hood and necklaces so the other dragon could see a scar on her neck where it looked like it had been snapped.
