Coyotl: A well respected member of the clan's council. Making decision's his job, and he usually makes the right one. Calm and collected, but can be prone to silly moments. Along with a group of dragons, he decided to visit his homeland for a little vacation.

Caladrius: Known as an innocent messenger, but his role in the clan is much more. He seeks out ill dragons and determines their fate, which is quite exhausting for Caladrius. Very cute and innocent, and joined Coyotl to take a break from his job.

Cryptogenic: Mysterious, and doesn't seem to participate in the clan that much. He goes out often to find various ingredients for alchemy and cooking. Joined Coyotl for this very reason, and because he misses his homeland.

Chromium: A junior scribe, thirsty for article topics and subjects. While she's a kind hearted fellow, Chromium can be a bit stubborn and won't let go of the past. Her motive for joining the expedition is to find inspiration for her next poem/novel.

Chocolate: One of the couriers. Quite lazy, but dedicated to her work. While it takes her a while to work on something, she doesn't complain and is happy to help. Rather relaxed and casual. Has some letters to deliver in the Southern Icefields.

Orion: The Sarian artisan, works with glass and the management of fire, which are only two of many reasons this brave dragon was commissioned for this small trip to the mountain's foot. He is highly trusted by his clanmates, but often finds himself in positions where he doesn't trust his own judgement.

Alrischa: She is the quickest on her wings between the Sarians, and is always itching to go on adventures that allow her to ruffle her feathers and stretch her shoulders. As soon as the idea of a trip surged, the Imperial was up on her limbs and jumping around in anticipation.

Vuryo: A generally peaceful companion, that prefers wisdom over muscle in each situation. He is the one who called for this very well needed expedition, and possibly the only one who can keep this small band of kids to level.

Fravante: First of two to have never ventured out of the Sarian walls. Quicker of claw and foot than brain, and reckless like a hatchling. The only reason why he is being let out by Nubla is that the old Tundra supposes it's time he serves for something other than play and antics.

Tambora: Second of two to have never ventured out of the Sarian walls. Of course, Fravante could not have been left alone for just one second, so the older Wildclaw was appointed as guarding chaperone to the youngster. She has complained, favoring the mustiness of the caves over the dry chill of the outsides, but enjoys her time with her fellow friends.

Cacogen I'm so sorry this took so long ! What with the festival and whatnot !

"Close by, close by," warned their leader every minute, knowing all to well how easily young dragons could stray and be lost to the clan forever onwards. The two wildclaws laughed and took this as an exaggeration, running and skipping further away if only to amuse over the hard stares they received from Orion.
As they neared the foot of their mountain and left its solitude, Vuryo emphasized the importance of keeping their voices low and watching their steps. 'All this trouble for twigs and leaves. . .' he thought. Keeping the fires ablaze was no easy task without fuel, and fuel wasn't the easiest thing to come around high as the Sarian caves were.
". . . Getting numb. . ." With wide eyes, the pearlcatcher hushed the rest and hurried them behind a line of rocks and large bushes at hearing this. 'It's worse than I thought.' He peeked at the travelers and counted six heads, which was not comforting at all. He was not prepared to battle these newcomers.
"Stay still," he said in a low voice, - mostly to Orion - before coming out the shelter slowly. "Good evening, hello."

Vuryo's ear twitched and flicked in warning to the remaining side of his own party, a signal Orion immediately understood and acted upon by keeping the others as still as they were. At last, the leader's muscles relaxed some ways, and his voice rose. "No, this is not my land. I'm a lone traveler, far from home. It seems. . . I've gotten a bit lost for the time being." The Pearlcatcher always did feel uncomfortable lying, but he did it magnificently. "Where are you headed?"
At the time, Fravante had loosened himself from Orion's grasp and had popped his head out from the rock's shelter, quickly nudging Tambora away for him to join the conversation. Vuryo lied magnificently well, but the truth fell onto his face for all to see with the recklessness of the youngster. Vuryo's lip quivered as Fravante approached the travelers, breaking the dividing line he had very carefully drawn by keeping his distance. "Good grace," huffed Alrisha, as Orion observed quietly, ready to spring at any sign of aggression.
