I haven't seen upshur around so I am going to go ahead and create this thread that way we can get some roleplay blood pumping. I know it looks plain because I'm not quite sure how coding works with Flight Rising but I will fix up this post whenever I get the chance. The only one of its kind, this valley is home to several creatures both flora and fauna alike. Through harsh winters this valley is considered an oasis among the small fauna; a place where they may rest below the trees safe from any real harm that lives along the rocky edges that press in from all around them. The valley consists of a large forest filled with various types of trees such as oak, pine, and cedar; all spaced in various locations though some parts of the forest are thicker than others. This thick set of woods is where [b]Stormclan[/b] can be found. These cats are well adapted to hunting in the shadows of the trees as well as in the thick brush that grows on the forest floor. [b]Stormclan's[/b] camp can be found in the thick heart of oak trees that grow in the middle of the forest. The majority of their camp is heavily guarded by thick brambles and thorns and is considerably warmer during the snows of leaf-bare compared to [b]Marshclan's[/b] camp. [b]Stormclan's[/b] camp can be found deep in the thick of a set of oak and cedar trees. Inside the camp there is a clearing where thick grass used to grow but due to the constant use of the clan cats it has been warn down to a small and manageable height. Along the outsides of the camp a thick set of brambles and thorns protects the cats from outside attacks. The [b]leaders den[/b] is tucked under a fallen oak tree that is now covered in moss and vines due to weathering and age. The leader stands atop the broken roots of this tree to give speeches to the clan. The [b]medicine cat den[/b] can be found in the north most part of the camp where the brambles give way to large boulders covered in moss year round. These rocks provide protection for herbs in well kept corners as well as the brambles providing overhead protection for cats in the den. The [b]warriors den[/b] can be found in the roots of a massive stump at the east most side of camp, which is closest to the entrance. The [b]nursery[/b] is shared with the [b]elders den[/b] in a large stretch of bushes that stretches along the west side of camp. These bushes provide shelter as well as a large space for the flux of cats that come in and out of the dens at any given time. The [b]apprentice's den [/b]is located close to the nursery and is an old rabbits hole that was dug out and expanded in order to provide shelter for a large amount of cats.

Alder Bark: Bark from an alder tree is good for healing toothaches.
Blackberry Leaves: This herb is good for bee stings.
Borage Leaves: This herb is used to treat fevers. It also helps nursing queens bring up their milk supply.
Burdock Root: This herb is used to treat infections, and is especially good for rat bites.
Catmint: This herb is good for treating whitecough and greencough.
Celandine: This herb is used to ease pain. It can also be used to treat injuries of the eyes.
Chamomile: This herb is used to calm a cat in the case of a nervous breakdown or severe shock.
Chervile: This herb is used to treat bellyache.
Chervile Root: This herb is used to keep away and treat infections.
Coltsfoot: This herb can be used as another treatment for whitecough. It can also be used to ease a sick cat's breathing.
Comfrey: This herb is used to put broken bone on the right path for mending.
Daisy Leaves: This herb is used to soothe aching joints.
Dandelion Leaves: This is another herb used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock.
Dock Leaves: This herb is used to treat nettle stings. Its juices are also good for soothing sore paw pads.
Elder Leaves: This herb can be used to help treat sprains.
Feaverfew: This herb is used to cool feverish cats and treat headaches.
Goldenrod: This herb is used in poultices to treat aching joints and stiffness. It can also be used to treat severe injuries
Horsetail: This herb is used to treat infected wounds.
Juniper Berries: This is another herb used to treat bellyache. It can also be used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock.
Lavender: This herb is used to treat coughs and fevers. It can also be used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdwn or severe shock.
Mallow: This herb is used to fight infection. It can also be used to treat bee or wasp stings.
Marigold: This herb is used to keep wounds from getting infected. It can also heal sores.
Nettle Leaves: This herb is used to keep down the swelling of a wound.
Nettle Seeds: This seed is used to counter the effects of weak poisons.
Oak Leaves: This herb is used to stop bleeding from a wound and to fight infection.
Parsley: This herb is used to stop the initial flow of milk in nursing queen. (After kits feed, a queen's milk still flows, and this herb is used to dry it up so it can be saved for later.)
Poppy Seeds: This seed is used to numb pain and help a cat sleep. Giving a cat more than two seeds may negatively affect their health, so be careful.
Ragwort Leaves: This is another herb used to treat aching joints.
Raspberry Leaves: This herb is used to ease pain during a queen's kitting.
Tansy: This herb is used to treat coughs. It can also be used to heal wounds.
Thyme: Yet another herb used to calm a cat in the event of a nervous breakdown or severe shock.
Traveling Herbs: These herbs are eaten by cats before making long journies, such as ones to the Moonfall. They keep away the pangs of hunger and gove a cat strength.
Yarrow: This herb is used to make a cat vomit. This action expels poisons from the body.

Maplestar awoke with a start, her claws extended and her teeth bared before realizing her terrors only walked in her dreams. As the fog from her mind began to fade so did the nightmare and soon only the shell of it remained. Frowning Maplestar tried to shake her head from side to side to brush the cobwebs of the night away. She had a lot to do that day and she wasn't about to be held up by some dream without a face. Extending her front legs out to claw at the moss covered ground the she-cat let out a grunt as she yawned and stood up in her nest. Looking around her den Maplestar couldn't help but notice the silence of this place. She had been living on her own in the leader's den for some time now but sometimes she missed the warm bodies of her clan mates in a shared den.

The thought of other cats and shared dens made Maplestar think of the great journey to this place and as she sat down to clean the moss from her fur she let her mind wander back to that place. Back when there was no difference between leader, warrior, and apprentice. They were all on the run, all starving, and lost. It was a wonder they had found this place at all and even then it was a great concern when settling who would go where. They had all become family, every cat of all shapes and sizes; and to go back to clan living, well it was hard at first. But soon borders became easy to maintain and differences arise as they always do. Maplestar paused briefly from cleaning her face and wondered about Marshclan now. Foxstar was becoming an increasing concern of hers and while she didn't detect any problems that may approach in the near future she knew the tom to be unpredictable and harsh.

Blinking her thoughts away the calico crawled up the small incline that led to the camp and pushed back the vines that obscured the entrance. Glancing around Maplestar knew there weren't many cats awake by now as the sun was just beginning to crawl into the sky. Regardless of what the time was the she-cat had work to do and she knew just were to start. Shaking out her long fur one last time Maplestar made quick and meaningful steps towards Hollyeye's den. As she walked across camp she noticed the slim amount of prey in the fresh-kill pile and made a note to herself to make sure Cloudedheart sent out a hunting patrol as soon as possible.

Cedarpaw hadn't really slept too well that night. He had ended up tossing and turning inside the den, all the while wishing he was above ground and inside the camp practice some sort of moves; really anything to pass the time. Rolling over once more Cedarpaw faced the entrance to camp and saw the bare amount of sunlight beginning to stream into the den. Sighing with relief the tom quickly got up and carelessly shook any clumps of moss out of his long fur. As he bound out of the apprentice's den Cedarpaw squinted his eyes and tried to glance around camp while his sight adjusted to the brightness.

Hollyeyes awoke slowly in the early morning, the fuzz of sleep receding at last. He was certainly getting a better nights rest these days- no one had gotten seriously injured in ages. Resisting the urge to stretch lest he disturbed his carefully arranged den, he rose slowly and walked carefully to his store of herbs to make sure nothing had changed during the night.

He straightened, flattened, pruned, and did everything necessary to keep the supply to his satisfaction. It was sometimes a pain to heal cats- he had the berries perfectly arranged, but then once he removed them he had to organize them again.

Then again, that could be the reason not many came through here. Hollyeyes' den was so sterile and pristine that he had been told more than once that sometimes cats were afraid to come in here just in case they got an earful for messing up his store.

But if that inspired them to be healthy, good for them. At least, that's what he would say to himself.

Hollyeyes turned upon hearing that a cat had entered the den. At the sight of the familiar calico, Hollyeyes greeted in mild surprise, "Oh, Maplestar. Hello." He padded over to her and dipped his head slightly in respect. "What can I do for you?" He decided to leave the 'Please remember to be careful' out this time. Starclan- bless them- knew that that certain phrase had been repeated too many times.

Upon stepping into Hollyeyes's den Maplestar dipped her head in greeting. Keeping close to the entrance the she-cat tucked her tail underneath her paws as she sat down before her medicine cat. She knew the tom's feelings about things being out of place in his den and she wasn't about to push Hollyeyes's buttons with no cause or justification.

"Hello Hollyeyes. I just came in to check on you if that is alright. I know we haven't had any sick cats as of yet but I know it is important to stock up on herbs as soon as possible, especially if this leaf-bare is going to be as bad as the last one."

Maplestar let her amber eyes travel around the den slowly until coming to a rest on her medicine cat's face. "Would you like me to send out a warrior with you whenever you get the chance to go collect some? I would be happy to accompany you. Truth be told I need to check the territory as it is."

Hollyeyes was, again, mildly surprised at the leader. Checking up on him, was she? It made him wonder whether it had really been that long since someone had come in. The medicine cat nodded and replied,

"Yes, last leaf-bare was quite... messy."

Very messy, in fact. Between keeping the cats healthy and keeping his den in acceptable shape, Hollyeyes had to make small allowances or else the multitasking would have driven him mad. Of course, the getting the deceased out of his den as well as treatment took priority, so he had to stop fixing his bedding. It was tearfully annoying.

Hollyeyes perked his ears and leaned slightly, noting the silence and emptiness of the camp itself.

"No one is awake yet, it seems." He noted, looking Maplestar in the eyes again.

"We could go now and be back before Cloudedheart starts to miss you, if there is nothing more pressing for you to do. I suppose having another set of eyes is important this time of year." Hollyeyes offered, tail flicking.
