Lucky for me I’ve been thinking about an excellent research project, and if you’d be so good as to help me we might learn something excellent about the development of hatchlings in the shell.” He nods happily and gestures to the egg in the basket he carries. “Now normally, two parents spend the greater part of a week doing nothing but tending a nest, correct? It’s an all consuming task. A great deal of focus and power goes into the tending of a nest. But what about orphaned eggs like these? I suspect that if a great many dragons place a little focus, a little faith, and, perhaps, a little fire into an egg, it will hatch faster and stronger than eggs hatched with the all consuming focus of two dragons for an extended period of time.” He resettles his ruff excitedly. “What a boon that would be on lair architects! We could open up such great new lair formats!”[/size]

After all, no hatchling should ever lack for a book, a pet, or a toy. I’ve also set a few hatchlings to gathering some basic foodstuffs, so they won’t lack for that as they set out with you.[/indent]
