I wasn't going to start it quite this soon as I have another breeding project ([url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/2486896]Apple Cider Bog[/url]) already taking up lair space, but I was keeping a lowkey eye on the AH and Dragon Search when I saw a hatchling with the exact required colours! The rest of this thread will be me sharing my successes and failures as I attempt to breed him a mate. All the dragons I'll be using will have the Filigree tert as I want to breed that in rather than pay the gems to gene her as well. [b][size=4](Edit 14th Nov 2019) Finally complete!! After a year long hiatus I came back and got my perfect girl in the first nest!! There are a lot of Obsidian/Obsidian/yellow range dragons with filigree on the AH but not many with their primary and secondary towards the black-grey side of the colour wheel. But over the last few weeks I've picked up some that are very close to the target colours, though they're mostly males at the moment so I don't have any firm pairs.

So far I've been naming them based on pyroxene minerals (of which augite is one).

I bought a cheap Obsidian/Obsidian/yellowish female as a temporary mate to Wollaston. They have a rather large colour range but I just wanted to start breeding instead of them just taking up space and eating all my food. Hopefully one of their babs will be a girl I can pair with one of the many boys... Yep, he was such a lucky find. I actually found him via the Dragon Search. I was very nervous about cold contacting his owner, but they were really nice and sold him to me for a good price.

I finally found a girl that's really close, but most of her colours are on the wrong sides to match with any of my boys!
