Hello and welcome! I'm Sparky Lurkdragon and like most dragons I like to hoard things.
The time has come for the next major goal! The Clan at the Intersection is chasing some jewelry!
For my own reference, let us lay down some rules, Lurkdragon!
Rule 0: The budget
Monthly budget of 200kt. This does not carry over. Anything that costs over 200kt...? Tough, cannot buy it until the quest is over.
The 200kt can be spent on anything. The following rules are to keep me from hitting or exceeding that.
Monthly Gem budget is 0. Gems are saved! The only exception that will not be considered falling off the wagon is the 3k Gems I'll need for my vacation to Plague and return to Light.
Monthly budget does not count buying fodder dragons or otherwise spending money to make money.
Once I get the really expensive stuff out of the way I can loosen the purse strings a little.
Rule 1: Breeding project and challenge lockdown
No more breeding projects or challenges until I get that Sunchasers. None! They're too expensive!
If I manage to finish all my breeding projects, I may open another one.
If I manage to finish all my challenges, I may open another one.
After getting the Sunchaser's, I'm going to try to limit myself to up to five projects and five challenges at once.
For the record, the ones in progress are:
Breeding Projects:
Challenges:
Wishlisted breeding projects:
So many
Rule 2: Spartan festivals
I'm already way behind on festivals since I got burned out on the site for a while. Since future festivals won't have the issue of their items being Gone Forever, let us consider getting the Light Sprite catching up on older festivals, and catch up to the newer ones later.
* I can get whatever I want from Joxar's festival currency shop as this does not cost money. The Joxbox is limited by the monthly budget.
* Skins and accents are limited by the monthly budget. Beyond it, I must trade for them or happen upon them in chests! (I feel this will be the most agonizing aspect of the challenge... but also the one that will help the most.)
** It's fine to make wishlists. I can come back to them after the quest is over!
Rule 3: Liquidating time
* If it's not irreplaceable, sell it.
** I'm probably not going to train any more Coli dragons for A While, so sell it!
* Heck, if it is irreplaceable but not what I collect, consider selling.
