Why does rollover take 30 minutes? | Help Center

Apologies if asking this is a no-no, but it's something that's been bugging me since I joined FR, and after hitting "submit" on a forum comment at 00:01 and having my whole message erased for the umpteenth time, I felt compelled to finally ask.

I'm an active user of at least 4 other browser-based pet-type sites and have played dozens of others in the past, and not a single one of them had a rollover period that wasn't instantaneous or took a couple minutes at the max. What is going on behind the scenes at FR that requires half an hour of downtime every day?

To be honest, there are over 2000-3000 people on here at one given time. Websites like Rescreatu and Marapets have a smaller user base. Meaning they can do a lot behind the scenes.

As the user base here is higher, they probably just prevent the risk being run of hatches or data being lost while they save everything and update it with new content.
