Honestly, Mary Shelley is such an interesting person and I love her a lot?? And did I mention that she was one of the earliest science-fiction writers (if not the earliest), so her contribution to literature is obviously pretty important. Also here's a Jane Austen because she's super rad as well: I'd also throw in Toni Morrison because her writing style is amazing, but I'm not sure if she really counts since she's still alive (from what I know). Also finding photos of living people weirds me out for some reason. :"^)

She was never able to actually get a job in science because sexism, but she was pretty much one of the earliest fossil experts.
