Have you ever had that one problem child in your lair? That progen/G1 with such unpleasant genes that you don't know how to gene them? Well you're lucky, because I made this. Let's begin.

HORRID TERT:
Tip 1: Don't gene the Tert at all!
Wow, such a start, isn't it? Basically, if you're having a brainache about it, don't gene it! It can ease you, plus saves a bit of [emoji=treasure size=1] or [emoji=gem size=1].
This example is that of my dragon, Neko. She and her horrid tert gave me inspiration to do this whole thread.

----------------
Tip 2: Hide it as Spines
Now let's say you want to gene the Tert - possibly to spice up breeding. Well, if the color of the Tert is dark, you can hide it as Spines. It also is a good thing if your dragon is that of a Nocturne/Coatl, any breed with unnoticeable Spines.

-----------
Tip 3: Match the color to Primary/Secondary
Remember that there's genes what might have two colors in them, such as Lionfish/Noxtide, Jaguar/Rosette, Iridescent/Shimmer and Poison/Toxin.
With this example, the Underbelly mimics the color of the markings on their face.

--------------
Tip 4: Stained
As the famous saying goes "if all else fails", the second line to this would be "use Stained". Stained is a risky move as it's expensive, but if you seriously don't know what to do, do it.

I'm glad others are of the opinion "Don't do the tert at all", since I'm always a bit scared to leave the tert blank xD

Your mileage may vary, but Peacock can be a wonder gene that can save a terrible tert if everything else just does not work, thanks to its varying colors. It is pricey though.

Yes, peacock is great but Firefly can be a lifesaver too!
