@MrFattymccatcat The egg begins to twitch and shake breaking loose from the vines that once held it in place. Quickly, you catch it before it rolls out of the nest. It continues to rock back and forth until finally cracks begin to appear in the side. A small sound can be heard coming from inside as the cracks grow in size. Suddenly, a small claw is peaking out from a hole that had formed and not long after the rest of the top of the egg crumbles away. A little girl nocturne slowly opens her eyes and looks around. She crawls out of the remains of the egg and into your hands staring at you lovingly. She lets out an excited little peep as if asking you to take her home. Rustling is heard from the bushes near by and you whip your head around just in time to see a snarling Chimera crawling out of the bushes. You cower in fear but the brave little nocturne squeaks loudly stopping the Chimera in its tracks. At first it seems confused, but soon it walks over and sits by you, as close to the small girl as possible. You're not sure what she said but it looks like you'll be taking both of them home now. You flinch at the unexpected movement and take a step back. Before you know it, a nocturne boy is climbing out of the tattered remains of his beautiful shell. He looks at you with curiostiy and with caution. He sniffs the air around him and sense no danger. Slowly he walks up to you, his wings fluttering and his tail swishing back and forth. After staring at you for what seemed like forever, he jumped onto your shoulder and sat there, unmoving. He seems like kind of a brat but at least he's cute you think to yourself. You begin to worry that maybe you had put those cracks in it possibly hurting the hatchling inside. Cautiously, you place the palm of your hand against the shell to see if its still warm. Thankfully it is. You breath a small sigh of relief and wait a little longer to see if it'll batch. Slowly but surely, bits of the shell are broken away as bright little girl emerges. She seems shy and frail. You're afraid to leave her here knowing she may not survive but any movement you make causes her to flinch. You gently pluck one of the flowers that were growing hear her egg and offer it to her as a peace offering to show that you don't wish to hurt her. She gingerly takes it out of your hand and tucks it behind one of her horns. With a small squeak of delight, she runs up to you now with confidence. She's ready to go home.
