So, I'm going to be starting a kestrel breeding project, and I'll need to start collecting dragons close to copper/steel/tan. (They're all going to look male because the secondary range wouldn't work out otherwise.)

MUCH INTEREST American kestrels are by far one of my favorite birds -w- (Kind of a tie between them and Swallow-tailed Kites and Peregrine Falcons). I have nothing that can help you breed those lovelies, but I would love to be pinged for updates. ^^

And...I would have suggested Clown for Primary to mimic both the spots and the falcon "helmet," but...it seems Copper Clown does something much more different than what I'm used to it doing xD Vipera is the most suitable gene with Copper, I think. ^^

@Dracotorix I don't have anything that would help you, but omg I would be interested in hatchlings from your breeding pair once you get it!! I love kestrels ;u;

@Dracotorix, I have a pair that gives me some crazy coliur combos I can let you see when I hatch things. But I would love a kestrel. I work with one right now and I would just love a Sornieth Kestrel!

@Malachite: Yeah, there's a lot of blue involved. I also don't like clown in general If they released a primary that was like peregrine, it would probably work, but I agree that vipera is good enough for now!
I also considered terracotta for the primary but I think it's a bit too overpowering. And overcast was another option for the secondary, but steel gets the lighter, whitish parts. I'm also considering only doing tan for the tertiary instead of tan-beige.
