Hello and welcome to the Dragon Builder swap!
This swap serves to flex everyone's creative muscles and fill the world with awesome lore dragons with interesting stories.
Premise: Person A will post a brief prompt containing a dragon's basic statistics, personality, origin and any details they would like to include. Person B will choose the prompt, find a dragon who fits it, write a bio for said dragon and (optionally, since I know some of us(me) are perpetually dirt poor due to coatl impulse buying and lair expansions) dress them and give them a familiar, and send them to Person A. Person B will then post their own prompt and await their lore dragon to arrive.
Some guidelines:
- When you are ready to send your lore dragon, please post them in the thread and ping the person receiving them in the same post where you write your prompt.
- Please try to keep prompts from being too wishlisty and appearance specific unless it is important to the dragon's lore. ie. a prompt like "This gen1 fire/obsidian/fire pie/paint/glimmer nocturne female lives in a koi pond" is not so great. A prompt like "This pale colored coatl was exiled by his clan at birth due to his lack of pigment" is awesome.
- Likewise, please try to keep the prompts from being too specific, but do give enough to go on. The idea is to let the person fulfilling your prompt to flex their creative muscles and create you a character. So a prompt like "This aging female fortune teller from emberglow hearth travels the world in a caravan pulled by two cockatrice. She is eccentric, funny and cantankerous. Her interests include astrology, gardening and animals. She has an old tail injury that always aches when it's about to rain. She enjoys nesting in warm ash with a hot cup of cocoa, spending time with her cockatrice, and making younger dragons uncomfortable with saucy tales." is awesome. Something like "Dandelion was born in Dragonhome to loving Snapper parents. As a hatchling she was kidnapped and sold into slavery to the lightning flight. She had a miserable existence for a long time, lightning dragons were mean to her and Stormcatcher was always yelling at her to go back to her. However, she met a young Snapper named Spinach and their budding friendship quickly turned into something more. They hatched a plan to escape to dragonhome together and have a nest with lots of little snappers. They were successful in their escape plans, Dandelion was reunited with her parents and now lives not far from them with Spinach and their two hatchlings, Burdock and Briar." Is already a bio that just needs a little fleshing out.
- No one likes to see awesome lore dragons exalted. If you have the urge to do so, please return them to the thread and they will be placed in exalt rescue so they can find loving homes.
- This swap will likely take much more time to complete than regular dragon swaps. To prevent duplicates, when you start working on a dragon, please post to reserve your space and add your prompt so that the next person can start working on yours.
- In the event that the person working on your dragon vanishes off the face of the earth before sending him or her to you, please PM me with your orphaned prompt and it will be posted in the orphans section and fulfilled by either me or anyone else who cares to volunteer ^.^
- When posting your prompt, please post a brief statement of what you like and dislike for the person fulfilling your request. Things like "please no skydancers, spring, or clown" or "coatls only" etc etc.
- Some people care about the dragon's official information matching their lore, and some (like me) don't. If you are one of the former, please include the term "strict lore" in your like/dislike statement and honor this request while fulfilling requests. So basically if someone has a strict lore requirement, and their prompt says "This young virgin priestess from the zephyr steppes was about to be sacrificed to the plaguebringer when she was saved by a herd of rampaging snappers" please don't choose a dragon who is a year old, shadow element, and has an offspring list a mile long to represent her.
That's about it for the guidelines for now. Since every swap thread usually starts with the OP posting the first dragon/request, I want to be contrary and allow someone else to do it XD. So, first prompt to be posted wins! (however, if no one wants to be first and would reeeally rather fulfill a request, feel free to use my fortune teller example from above (coatls only ^.^)

Turnipseed Oh my gosh I love this *-* I can tell this is going to be one of my favorite threads. I guess I'll start then? No time like the present!
Prompt:
Fresh from the Tsunami Flats the young dragon was determined to make a name for himself. Vivacious and charismatic he hops from clan to clan, traveling across all of Sornieth trying to find where he belongs. Due to his frequent wanderlust he can only hoard objects that do not weigh him down in larger quantities, so he prefers to collect feathers and medicinal herbs.

Neptune is at the Crossroads waiting to be picked up ^.^ I hope you like him (ngl, I am suuuper self conscious about my writing skills and I think everything is crap. so um... sorry if it's crap >.<) I did very minimal formatting just so it would look semi-nice because I wasn't sure what style you preferred, and I didn't know your clan name so I put *katoushi's clan* so feel free to change those. Also sorry for superverbosity the story kind of ran away on me lol.

This innocent-looking and delicate dragon has a fondness for pretty bows, stuffed familiars, and flowers, has never bred and generally projects a very childlike air of sweetness. However, they originate from the Plaguelands and behave accordingly if given half a chance!
(would prefer strict lore on the element and the not-bred but everything else is up to interpretation)
