This one's not so bad since blue and yellow do go together, but the saving grace is the tert matches his eyes. I went with spines to accent his eyes without making people look at him and think TOOBLUE.

Grax is my custom progen. I chose brown and rose deliberately, thinking it kind of made him look like a cherry tree in blossom. Then, of course, the tert randomly generated and was... goldenrod.
For a very long time, I had him gened to sort of match his mate, Ajra, as tiger-freckle-gembond:

I loved him anyways, and I held out hope that one day, [i]one day[/i] I would find the right genes for him.
Then petals came along, and brown petals uses a similar accent color as rose butterfly. Contour topped it all off by making him look like he had gilded edges, and now he's my pride and joy:
