Crunch. "[font=viner hand itc][size=4]How does it feel.... to lose like this?[/size][/font]"
I growled. "You.... you blood thirsty brainless fowl!"
The shadow behind me brushed off the insult and cocked its head mockingly. "[font=viner hand itc][size=4]You, nameless dragon, have been very troublesome. A worthless pile of bones, standing up to me? My, my, I am offended, letting such a lesser being talk back.[/size][/font]" It lunged and began to crush my jaw in it talons. I struggled in despair, to no success.
"[font=viner hand itc][size=4]Pathetic. Nothing like us.[/size][/font]" It squeezed my throat.
Suddenly, something shifted inside of me. The change was subtle, yet alarming. Something was surfacing. I felt myself relaxing, unable to hold on any longer.
"[font=lucida calligraphy][size=3]You're right,"[/font] I choked, "[font=lucida calligraphy][size=3]I'm nothing like you.
"I'm something better.[/font]"
It was not my voice, yet the words made their way through my jaws. The ferocious power of the something left me dumbfounded.
I cannot recall what happened after this. The only thing I saw was the shadow being subdued by an unknown force, my entire view tinted with the striking violet glow of power.
I woke with a start. Glowing, violet crystal, stretched on and on as far as I could... sea? An ocean, in the middle of the Molten Scar? I tried to move myself within reach, only to realize I couldn't. My entire body was encased [/i]in[i] the crystal.
Is this.... the Crystalspine Reaches?
A more important question.
