TerminalEternity Preventing a dark force from consuming someone. Let's see...
Performed by two practitioners, here likely a mage and their loved one. The spell is "tossed" back and forth. It's extremely important not to drop it! It's expected that the would-be-bound creature will do anything in its power to interrupt the exchange.
Hunger swelling -- hunger quelled.
Shadow-fang -- shadow-shell
binding shade -- shade descending,
bounded fang -- snapping, ending.
Shadow bound -- hunger rise
eat your screams -- eat your eyes
If done correctly, this will turn the creature back on itself, like a toothless ouroboros. Nasty fate for a nasty creature...or for practitioners who don't get the timing down and don't have a countercantos prepared!
Like any spell that packs a lot of punch into just a few lines, proper pacing, focus and enunciation is indispensable. This isn't one you can casually practice.

Ohh, I like this! Could I ask for two? A spell to invite one's own darker side to grow stronger, for an eccentric potionmaker obsessed with dark magic, and a prayer from a prophet/priestess to a desert/death goddess to forgive a clan for forgetting her? Thank you :)

SkullLotus Any responsible mage you ask will tell you not to use a permanent eye-changing spell under
any circumstances. Still, generations of vain dragons have stumbled on it and decided to give it a go. The relative simplicity of the spell doesn't help things.
The lines need to be rearranged so that the first element mentioned is the dragon's own. Then the remainder in order of how strongly the dragon feels "called" to them (stopping before all 11 are mentioned has effects ranging from heterochromia to organ rupture). The least favorite element goes last, and then the final lines use the color you'd like to change to. Make sure to write that final line down, as by the time you reach it, you might have forgotten what that element
is.
Even when performed correctly, the results will never be as pure as a birth-element eye, and there's usually some...other issues.
Forget my color!
Blue water drying
spring wind sputtering
yellow light choking
green sprout wilting
orange flame dying
red blood rotting
purple shadow failing
cyan arc breaking
pink rune fading
brown earth crumbling
pale ice melting
Recall my color!
The yellow light choking
I save, I call my own

Msdova How lovely! A spell for restful sleep and good dreams. Let's see what I've got lying around :D
This ancient spell's a bit mangled, but retains its potency even if you drop a few words, as long as there's feeling behind it. A constant source of annoyance for more "cultured" mages; they tend to chafe at how effective this hedge-magic is. The closest thing to a "downside" is that the drake mentioned sometimes shows up in the induced dreams, but since he's a calming, friendly figure, it's not much of a defect.
It's nearly impossible to perform this on yourself. If that's what you need, I can find something else! :D
There was a drake
who came to me
with kind, wise eyes
and ancient claws
that cupped the wisps
of pleasant dreams
he'd saved for you.
He passed them on
to me to give.
Sleep with ease,
my weary friend.

Hatta A spell for renouncing the parts of the self that limit the spread of one's "dark side." Performed daily as the first thing from the mouth in the morning. The spell starts very weak, but increases in power over the course of two months. You'll know it's working once the last few lines sound "different," as if said by a voice other than your own.
The first lie was gentle,
the second one kind,
the third one would nurture
nascent dragonkind.
These lies are the spindle
that power unwind.
Shatter the spindle
shatter my limit
shatter the lies
that bind up the soul.
Mine is the truth, the power re-winding.
I break the spindle. I take control.
I gotta head out now, but I'll try to get to the second one later! @

Sounds interesting! Could you write one for freeing another dragon from a mirror?
