This log concerns the history of the Kustos Glakios from the creation of its first laws and the aftereffects of Ice versus Plague and the end of Matriarch Kustodia's leadership.[/i] After the establishment of the Kustos Glakios' first laws, there was a brief time of disorder before enforcement and reinforcement of the Matriarch's order. Specifically the law to uphold the ideals of the Icewarden and thus the clan's Matriarch. There were some in the clan at the time who took issue with the sudden increase in work requirements and a “growing elitist social order of uptight busybodies”. Although exaltation is a high honor, it was feared that under Kustodia's whims, that those who were exalted were “unfavorables” shunned by the Matriarch and the clan. Barba was the main spokesperson against this stance, attempting to rile up the clan to overturn new policies and laws. He was deemed too stressed by the position to do his job, and Yvetel replaced him, now in charge of rearing youngsters who might be sent for exaltation. The reverent ridgeback ensured that most hatchlings would view exaltation highly favorably, and it is her organizing of the exalted that serves as the foundation of exalting operations used today. [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=15006555][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/150066/15006555.png[/img][/url][/center] While the law was established, there was some dissent among the ranks, making [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=15006555]Liesel[/url]'s entrance seem like a godsend. A dragon from a friendly wind clan, Liesel works as a counselor and master entertainer, further rendering Barba's role of healer irrelevant. Liesel's work establishes the foundation of celebrations and musical concerts of morale that are still in use today. Kustodia, Arcularia, and Aori continue to restructure breeding plans and procure an earth and light dragon named Veneror and Luxelia respectively. They are slated to become part of a gathering team with Agolon. Veneror especially is taken under Kustodia’s wing as a son. ImpSigh, aligned with the dissenters of the clan, disappeared as the movement lost steam and was assumed to have quietly left the clan. However, when a guardian approached the borders of the Kustos Glakios, inquiring curtly if his genes were favorable now, it was discovered that ImpSigh has stolen a wealth of fortunes from the vault to change his breed and appearance. As punishment, he was forced to gather for the clan and make up the lost funds. The de facto alliances between Earth and Light, as outlined by the Matriarch, are officially disregarded, and only flights that hold a representative within the clan, with active connections to their former flight, are the only one's recognized as legal contracts of alliance. Aori is promoted as Arcane representative and Liesel promoted as Wind representative. The battle is hard fought, and the burgeoning clan ill-prepared. In a move of desperation to protect his reputation, Robur insists of the exaltation of vital members of the clan in the hops to tip the scale to victory and bring more honor to the Icewarden and his cause. The populace, enthusiastic and hungry to show their strength, accept the idea and much of the clan leaves to better serve the Icewarden. Defeat is hard on the clan, who begins to resent the flight of Plague and it's ideas. While a clan effort, the push for dominance against plague and its poor tactics insisted by Robur (exalted himself during this time) have left Roburs name as a stain within these history books. The defeat however encouraged the clan to more fully focus on the art of dominance and the strategies in obtaining glory to the Icewarden. The Matriarch herself however, lost her closest partner, Arcularia, and she didn't seem the same ever since. Before Yvetel departed to serve the Icewarden, she gave the gift of foresight to Aori to help her in her scrying. Aori’s powers in the arcane as well as all other magics amplified, causing her magical power to become immeasurable. The clan then gains [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=14888330]Petrous[/url] free of charge, although the dragon himself enacts a personal contract that his time in the clan will end when Agolon has obtained mastery to replace him. With morale low and the clan quiet, the Starfall Celebration of the Arcane flight couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Liesel organized for involvement of many of the Arcane holiday festivities and also worked with Kustodia and Aori to solidify the clan’s alliance to Arcane. On the same note however, when Riot of Rot comes around, the clan is silent. It is noted that her entrance was marked by noticeable improvements and increases of resource production. She had remarked then that the way the clan had functioned before was both “inefficient and unimpressive”. Despite the production of favorable offspring with the possibility of exaltation to serve the Icewarden, Agolon later refuses the arrangement and puts forward objections to the practice within the clan. The matter goes unresolved, but the project is halted after only a few clutches are produced. Spectraia soon finds her talents in singing and leading the music production for clan celebrations. Kustodia elevates her in rank and has her assist Liesel. In the competition between Wind and Arcane, the clan members were allowed to both bet on and influence the outcome. Kustodia herself, seeing Arcane as a rising competitor, personally funded the training of dragons to be exalted to the Windsinger. When Wind won, the home clans of both Liesel and Aori were sent gifts of appreciation. Exhausted by her time as Matriarch, it soon came time for Kustodia to announce that she would be stepping down from the position of Matriarch and that she will choose the next individual to take her place.

And so only a journal written by Aurora after the fact serve as a record of the events surrounding the foundation of the clan.[/i] [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=15873879][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/158739/15873879.png[/img][/url][/center] The first Matriarch was called [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=15873879]Kustodia[/url], a female guardian of the Southern Icefields, for which this clan and domain is named after. Prior to establishing the Kustos Glakios in her youth, she was known as a cool, charming, and enigmatic figure perhaps touched by the shadows of the Tangled Wood. Her vision for the Kustos Glakios, the clan she established and that would become her charge, was to be her pride and joy – the land and dragons she would call as her own children. She was known to say that her clan was her collection of prized and precious dolls, each unique and wondrous in their own way. Through her guidance, the clan enacted laws of stockpiling, hunting, and breeding to provide resources for the evergrowing settlement among the Frigid Floes. Each scrutinized and testing the limits of the Matriarch's desires of who should reside in her home. But nontheless, his wisdom was found useful. She was to be given a test of survival to prove her use to the clan, but her hereditary nocturne nature appealed to Kustodia's longing for motherhood. The girl would soon be treated as an heir of the clan. Words of prophecy. Neither she nor Agolon would reveal what these words were or whether they were important, but it cast doubt upon the both of them. Kustodia allowed the dragonness to stay under the promise that she train and fight for the clan. It began with the replacing of ImpSigh as Kustodia's 2nd with Agolon. And the begrudging acceptance of another imperial named [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=11254477]Arcularia[/url] who promised to lend her expertise in hunting and procuring goods. She was named Hoardkeeper to prove herself. The clan adopts a young male guardian named [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=15795689]Barba[/url], whose gentle nature was better suited to the healing crafts, mentored by ImpSigh, although he was originally planned to be a fighter. These standpoints are shortlived due to the appearance of an arcane fae named [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=14955052]Aori[/url]. She arrives with a gift: a book she wrote with the help of magic of plague and pestilence. The grimoire looks like a bad omen as well as being an eyesore and a source of stench. But the fae was knowledgable, and Kustodia never turned such a thing away. Most pairings were unfortunately deemed unfavorable, and new blood was obtained for new breeding projects. Having members of different magic ability was a tantalizing prospect for Kustodia who would lay the foundations of what would become Kustos Domain genetic engineering. Agolon was most notable in not supporting the project until a compromise was made in placing Barba as caretaker of the young ones, who in turn would only accept the job if he was promised that the young would only begin training at a later age when they were ready. Kustodia agreed and established the first laws of the clan in place. The laws were the following: [LIST] [*]The hierarchy is outlined as follows: the Matriarch followed by the following of Her Council titled as such: Advisor, Hoard Keeper, and Oracle. And followed by Her Council are any members of Honorary titles, and lastly, the main bulk of the clan entitled the Populace. [*]All permanent members of the clan must be at least level 7 and assist in ensuring that the hoard is stocked with enough food to keep all members well fed. [*]All members uphold to oath to maintain and keep the ideals of the Ice warden and honor the path the Matriarch leads for the clan. [/LIST]

It was their joint signature used in signing off on projects, those known and those secret. Together they revolutionized the flight, moved it over to Lightning, and industrialized them from a small clan in the wastelands of Ice, to a bustling underground city of neon light and electric beats. Tristitia was dedicated in making those of the clan proud to be here and SHOVOS was ruthless in implementing what she saw as technological advancement. Despite their unethical experiments, their propaganda that nearly deified them lives on. Once SHOVOS fully digitized herself, she stopped interacting with others and soon Sephirah, a remnant of one of SHOVOS' scrapped protects, began to worship her – forming a cult that saw the creation of Ascension, a self-aware life support system. Under Ascension's influence and hypnosis, all were to be locked in a hallucinated world of suffering. It was believed by Sephirah and the cult of HER that contentment and happiness stopped advancement. Luckily, Ascension was hastily rewritten by Luna, another one of SHOVOS' scrapped projects, to be gentle in her hallucinatory influence - though they could not stop her from inducing her own reality upon the city. The city only functions now because of GLADYS. Chernobog, an adoptive son of Tristitia, sought to preserve hers and SHOVOS' genetics in a living organic entity, and the obsessive need may have been encouraged because he too lived under the influence of Ascension. Chernobog splices his own dna with SHOVOS' to splice with Gloom, a daughter of Tristitia. This produces Hel/Circuit, who's dna is spliced to create Apocrypha, the final merging of SHOVOS and Tristitia's, TrisMala, dna. There are murmurings of a rival cult rising with Apocrypha as their chosen one, but they are only murmurings compared to the choir of songs sung for Ascension. Apocrypha and other dragons part of the genetic project were kept in test tubes for most of their life. At the completion of the project, all except Apocrypha were released and allowed to go to different clans. Apocrypha, even as Chernobog is now gone from the clan, is still locked away in a test tube, decorated and maintained by the few who worship her. The same manner in which the Hydro-Electric Reactor, HER station, that houses the conduit body of SHOVOS is decorated.

Her specialty was with piano, violin, as well as vocals. With her power over music, she began to use the voices of those to be exalted to create a strange and unique culture around those awaiting training to serve under their deity. As first, it was to the praise of the Icewarden, and even before that, when Spectraia was just getting her start, she worked on songs individually. Alpenglow is forever a favorite song within the Kustos. [b][u]Choir of the Magnified[/u][/b] Composing songs, Spectraia begins to train those to be exalted (called the Multitude) to sing and perform as the “Choir of the Magnified”. Physics plays the guitar parts during his time in Kustos. It works wonders. It becomes a renewed hit within the populace and is sung at the culmination of the Fortress of Ends experiment for the Crystalline Gala. Both songs are melacholy as which suited Matriarch Tristitia. [center][u][b][color=darkmagenta]Concert of Trickmurk[/color][/b][/u][/center] After Tristitia is sent away for a cloning experiment, the clan begins to see change and strife. At SHOVOS' request, Liesel conducted festivities for the Trickmurk Circus, thus requesting Spectriaia produce songs for the event. The entirety of Her Council knew it was the final attack of SHOVOS' takeover, but proceeded with it regardless. Spectriaia, enamored by the allure of SHOVOS, produced a suite of music with the Choir of the Magnified to be prepared during the festivities. This also worked in the ideals of Shadow flight, which ImpSigh was always sympathetic to. A dragon and their offspring was named after this song, and started a tradition of honored song lyrics pairs. [b][u]Experimental Work with Surge[/u][/b] Around the time of the failure of first cloning clutch of Tristitia and the failed Ice verses Nature push, Spectraia began to experiment with electric sounds in inspiration of the direction SHOVOS was moving the clan. Later, after Tristitia's cloning was successful, she and SHOVOS approached Spectraia with plans to move the clan to Lightning. They asked her to create songs and a concert to help encourage and soothe morale to support the inevitable decision. Spectraia goes to find an individual from Lightning who creates music with synthetic electric sounds.
