WORLDBUILDER
` How was your clan founded?
- The clan was founded by my progen, who I had regrettably exalted during my first month on Flight Rising. She was a denim fae with lavender wings, and had left her legacy behind for her beta, Yoon. The clan had been once just a small group of friends, consisting of she, her mate, Cerestes, Amiya and Ophaelie, but now a larger brother- and sisterhood of dragons.
` How did your clan leader get his/her position?
- Yoon inherited the position as Alpha from the first Alphess as her beta. The Alphess was murdered almost before his very eyes and it was only normal as her adopted child to take the position.
` Who is the Icewarden?
- The Icewarden is the deity who had brought their Plague-born leader to the clan, visiting the Imperial in his dreams and sharing advice, giving support and encouragement, and leading him to the small group of friends now woven into the clan. He gave directions to Ophaelie - the Alphess at the time - as well. Anyway, the Icewarden is their one deity, the one they would die protecting.
` Do you have any special lore surrounding your Coli team? How do the other dragons in your lair view them?
- They're the 'inseparable trio' of the clan. Yoon and Eden were first, before Eridian joined the duo and the team was formed and completed. The other dragons look up to them, although some simply disregard Yoon as the leader. Most dragons look up to Eden, then Eridian, following lastly with the Alpha.
` Why is Yoon not looked up to as much as his team?
- When is an Alpha who is younger than the oldest of members not looked down upon by others of the same clan? Yoon is considerably younger than
` Do you weave your dragons' birthdays into the lore?
- No. Birth dates shown on their profiles do not matter; Yoon is a lot younger than Cerestes and Treven and Ynfry; not only by a few months. Despite that, his age is a round about similar to the others then.
` Describe your lair using only Flight Rising items.
- Firebrand Tungsten; they're bright and strong, like the mineral. They're a determined bunch who burn with a strong bond - or at least, between one another if not with Yoon.
- Etched Tusk; a history of bone. The death of Ophaelie is a taint in the bone of the clan as she had been the original leader, before Kaeiz was officially made a clan. It's not talked about often within the group, but it's there, weighing on their shoulders.
` How would Ophaelie (ridgeback) react if they woke up to find one of the new Petal Jumper familiars just inches from their nose?
- Her eyes would blow open at first sight, then she'd simmer down and just look at the familiar in awe. She'd probably attempt to befriend or capture it too. Or get Tigra to help her out.
` How does breed changing operate in your clan? Are breed changes performed through magic scrolls or the result of dragons fending off otherwise fatal attacks, physical or magical?
Do dragons that have gone through a breed change face any stigma in your clan?
- Breed changing is done through scrolls. It's also possible through strong magic; such as Ravonor's, with what he had done to Opheos.
` How do genes exist in your world? Are they a magical item that allows a dragon to change their appearance? Or are they something that comes with age?
- Genes exist as marks and, well, genetically transferred markings. There're the recessive and dominant genes of course, like how we do. Except their genes are alterable. They may use scrolls and magic to change their marks, or they just appear over time. Skins and accents are the same way. Accents and skins sometimes represent the use of a sort of power - like in Ravonor's case, his accent is revealed when he uses his magic.
` How do the dragons in your lair feel about being exalted? Do they see it as a great honor, or do they see it as a sad thing when they leave their family and friends to serve under a god with other dragons they know nothing about?
- ans
` Does your clan mark its borders somehow? If not, is there some iconic landmark/some clear point at which you go from ‘returning’ to 'home’?
- ans
` Do you have any drawings of your clan territory? Is there anything in your clan territory that isn’t shown in the world map?
- ans
` Is your clan more aggressive, defensive, or neutral when it comes to dealing with others? Is your clan generally peaceful, neutral, or aggressive?
- When dealing with others, the general clan is friendly and welcoming to guests. There're only a few who give guests the cold shoulder. And in general, the clan is quite peaceful. They only become aggressive when there is an evident threat.
` What does your clan create, build, grow, and/or produce for themselves? What must your clan get from other clans or locations?
- ans
` Do dragons who arrive in the clan around the same time have a special bond/relation with one another over dragons who arrive later?
- ans
` Your three most powerful dragons are traveling through your home territory and the leader gets stuck. How are they stuck and what do the other two do to get them out?
- ans
` Describe a location in your territory that’s popular with your clan
- ans
` Which couple in the clan has been together the longest? What’s the key to their success?
- ans
` How did the oldest dragon in your lair become part of the clan?
- ans
` If your clan suddenly had to switch flights, where would they go?
- ans
` A package is en-route to your clan, but the courier is unfamiliar with your territory. They will be flying overhead and keeping an eye out for your lair; what landmark(s) are visible from a bird’s eye view?
- The great mountain shaped in the flight's symbol upside down. Then there's a frozen river running about the foot of the mountain, ending in a large and equally frozen lake. There're also a couple of stone caves - but those are usually hidden under the snow.
` Who’s the most adventurous dragon in your clan? What's his greatest adventure up to date?
- I'd say Illium and Irwyn are the adventurers who aren't battlers. Because, y'know, battles include adventuring so. Illium has to travel around to different flights in order to trade, after all, and Irwyn is just outgoing on his own. Illium doesn't have a lot of stories to tell - most of them are about the 'awesome deals' he got. Irwyn, well, the guy's ready for an adventure!
` Which flight would your clan never consider joining?
- I don't actually think my clan wouldn't consider joining any flight. After all, if you look in the permanent residents section, you'd find that there're at least one dragon in each section. I like to think they're not flight-cist since this is so.
` How would the Althea react if a Nocturne took to following them around, attempting to mimic their every move?
- ans
` What does your clan do for fun?
- ans
` Why did your clan choose the flight they’re in?
- They didn't. The leaders, Yoon and Eden, didn't choose their flight. Yoon was taken under the Icewarden's wing when he was newly released from captivity, and Eden was hatched within the Icewarden's own cave after his parents went missing.
' What frightens the (eleventh dragon on your first lair page)?
- ans
` Do your dragons shapeshift? If so, how?
- Yes. There's a spring somewhere off from the territory, deep into the tundra that allows shapeshifting of dragons. However, there's only one form they may become, and that is human. They are allowed flight in this form, but nothing else from their dragon forms is possible. Becoming human is a great asset to Yoon, since it allows him to meet his 'father', even if at a distance.
` If a stranger were to visit your lair, what’s the first thing that would jump out at them as strange or unique?
- Probably their apparel. And whether they glow. The first time Ravonor set foot in the clan, they were gobsmacked at his beautiful pink, glowing scales. Needless to say, Ophaelie was rather jealous. She wouldn't talk to anyone for a month.
` Who keeps the peace in your clan?
- ans
` Does your clan observe any special holidays (outside of the official Flight festivities)?
- There's a week every year when the Flights hosts tournaments in the neutral areas of Wind Flight territory. These tournaments included Boulderthon, Flightrack, and the most important of all, Duels. Of course, the first questions to pop in your mind, I will answer.
Boulderthon is somewhat of a soccer game - but in the air. For Harry Potter fans, you could call this Quidditch in a way. There's a seeker in each team, usually faes for their small statures and their swift flying, especially since they'll be going after the ever-pesky Petal Jumpers of which are to be caught for extra points. Then there're the Keepers, who guard the caves in which the boulders (or the ball) will be thrown into. In each team, there are six Flighters, who serve as both attackers and defenders of the cave. First team to 25 points wins, and nothing but wings and tails are allowed to be used.
Flightrack is an obstacle course. No big deal. Just hoops in the air and tunnels and all that jazz. There's also relay, although those are usually for the Boulderthon teams. There're no rules to this; just no harming severely and no killing.
Duels are held in the same stadium as the Boulderthon games. Three dragons of each clan would be enrolled as a team, and then the duels would be one-on-one. Dragons would fight until they fall on their backs and are not allowed to fly too high, or step out of the ring. Again, no killing.
` What is the worst thing that could possibly happen to your clan—what hypothetical event might they not be able to recover from?
- ans
` Who’s the black sheep of the clan?
- ans
` A small beastclan native to your flight’s land has encroached upon your lair territory! (the third dragon on your second lair page) is the first one to come across them–what does he/she do?
- ans
` Is there a strict hierarchy within your clan?
- ans
` What role do familiars play in the clan–couriers, friends, pets, labor, etc?
- ans
` Who’s the most likely to cause trouble for other members of the clan?
- ans
` What does your clan’s Vault look like?
- It's a simple cave that's half-hidden from the naked eye with the use of magic. In order to keep it safe, Yoon had Courtney invent and craft some traps in the corridors, and also had employed Vaporwing to keep it safe. She, of course, keeps out of the vault's real entrance.
` Does the clan eat together or is it everyone for themselves?
- ans
` Are all dragon breeds welcome in your clan?
- They are all welcome to stay in the clan. However, Tundras, despite being native to the land of ice, they are welcome as guests, but not permanent residents. This is due to the lack of edible plants.

` Which of your dragons is the best at finding the perfect gift? Any dragons that are terrible gift-givers?

` Who is the most fashionable dragon in your clan?
- Ophaelie! Although she doesn't dress in much, she loves dressing others. Only the Icewarden knows how much she loathes Ravonor's fab.
` Who in your clan is best at cheering up other dragons when they’re down?
- ans
` How are familiars treated in your clan?
- Companions. They're not to be disrespected, and are to be treated equally, even if they're Leafy Moths. It's not tolerated within the clan.
` Who among your clan is most likely to stage a rebellion?
- ans
` Does your clan have different factions of dragons or does everyone get along?
- They generally get along well, but there're also the smaller cliques within the clan. I mean, it isn't possible for there to be none, seeing as they're a growing group, and have all arrived at separate times, have their own different personalities and everything.
` Which of your dragons is the best at finding the perfect gift? Any dragons that are terrible gift-givers?
- ans
` Are any of the dragons in your clan well-known beyond the clan for being talented at something?
- Eden and Yoon are well-known to have connections to the Icewarden. It's one of the reasons some of the members are even in the clan after all. But Eden is also widely known for his talent in battle from the Duels in tournaments of the past, and so is Eridian. Tigra is known among a few souls for her way with familiars.
` Who among your clan is most likely to try to make peace with a beastclan?
- Lock and Yoon. And Tigra. Tigra because she believes all beasties can be good companions. Lock and Yoon just because really. Eridian would be the opposite - always loves a good fight, this one.
` Who is the oldest dragon in your clan? Do they have any specific duties or positions because of their age?
- Cerestes is the elder of the clan. She takes on the role of an advisor somewhat, as well as a mother to Yoon. The spiral also teaches and helps hatchlings break out of their eggs.
` A visitor comes to your clan. Who is the first to greet them?
- Sometimes Eden, sometimes Lock. Rarely Yoon, because apparently an Alpha shouldn't show himself too much, to give himself a status of power by sending the minions.
` Do your dragons have private living quarters or are they shared communally?
- Dragons of a greater rank will have their own living quarters. The Alpha and his Protector lives together, while the Alphess lives with Cerestes. Eridian has a lair of his own, but stays in the communal 'fighters' cave. On that note, every sub-group of the clan has their own communal lair.
` How do dragons in your clan celebrate their elemental holiday?
- Sometimes they pay the Main Flight a visit for the festivities there, but only Yoon and Eden meet with the Icewarden. They also hang up banners and lanterns and create sculptures in their territory.
` Who in your clan is most likely to come home with a familiar while out gathering?
- Tigra! She's basically a familiar magnet, no lie.
` Do hatchlings stay with their parents or is there a nursery where they are kept?
- The hatchlings stay in the nursery until they are teens. Their parents are allowed to visit and stay with them, but the hatchlings must be kept within the nursery for in case they wander out and freeze to death. When they're teens, they move out and live with their parents, usually their mother, until they reach adulthood and are given a role.
` Which of your dragons is the best at finding the perfect gift? Any dragons that are terrible gift-givers?
- ans
` When a dragon joins your clan, how are they greeted? Do certain dragons help them get settled in?
- New additions to the clan are usually treated warmly and most clan members would often get a little too up and personal. Usually, Lock takes care of these newbies and teaches them the ropes around the place and introduces them to everyone. After a few days, they're assigned their role by the Alpha himself.
