not sure what kind of tips you're looking for, but don't forget the coatl chest mane.. thing :0

i'd make the arms skinnier and the hands smaller, as well. they're stubby little things. the corgis of dragons i'd say.

also, the throat isn't quite right. it sort of starts out thicker closer to the cranium, then thins out as opposed to stays nice and slim from head to shoulder. the skull should be flatter, as their lower jaw is almost completely flat and their head is more dome-shaped with little to no definition between crown and snout.

but that expression is spot on and the tail is super cute!

(i'm being very thorough in these critiques, since you haven't gotten any tips. feel free to discount any of them! the buggers ARE dang hard to draw. i think you're doing great!)

@retrobird Oooh thank you for these tips! They're fine, I needed a bit of guidance, so I won't discount them! And yeah, I am about to draw the poofy mane thing and also made the arms/hands smaller! You're also right about the upper body, I did feel something wasn't quite right with the head but I couldn't tell what it is...it's really strange but Coatls have a snake-like head without it looking TOO snake-like...? But I'm not quite sure what you mean by "no definition between crown and snout" though...do you mean like, the nose should be more directly connected/closer to the forehead? But I'll still alter it a bit I guess. Anyhow, thanks sooo much for these critiques, I was beginning to feel helpless since no one commented! :D

Hello!! I'm not, like, super duper used to drawing coatls, but I drew this a while back and thought it might help?

I drew this for a friend a while back? The apparel isn't the best but...

Anyways, always remember that these are dragons, and dragons can typically look however you want!! Do imagine coatls however it suits you, tbh.
