There's an ad for Foster Farms in the banner ad area at the bottom of the page that forces the page to scroll to the bottom and starts a very loud video playing and keeps repeating.
It has repeated no less than eight ten times while I tried to type this report, jumping down and interrupting my typing each time. I won't be coming back to the site today because it's unusable this way.

Teasugarsalt this is the thread for reporting that kind of annoying ads. i've seen that the ad you're talking about has already been reported. as a temporary solution, you can install adblock or another browser extension that allows you to block ads

Had the site been usable, I'd probably have looked more thoroughly for something like that. As it was I was getting maybe three seconds typing/searching between forced scrolling. I'm really uncomfortable using ad-blocking software because sites like flight rising rely on ad revenue and since I lack the money to buy stuff, letting them run (tasteful, discreet) banner ads seems only fair.

Teasugarsalt it is possible to make adblocks block only specific ads and leave others alone. Some adblocks even have settings that make them block only malicious and intrusive ads and leave the reasonable ads alone.

Mutisija what are the intrusive only ad-blockers?! I did not know about this!

Teasugarsalt for example adblock and adblock plus have this option. tho its not like 100% sure since allowing non intrusive ads seems to happen through a whitelist so it obviously does not cover all non intrusive ads.
I also came across an ad today. I was in the Colosseum when the page suddenly tried to load into a different site. Luckily my computer's anti virus stopped it, saying it was a malicious site. Unfortunately it didn't give me any details about it. So just a heads up in the Colosseum.
