Brought up with a deeply spiritual belief in Plague ideals, these dragons may become fine ambassadors or priests of their element, and they certainly perform well enough on the battlefield. Fachtna and Llyn generally encourage their children to pursue their interests, but any dabbling with the Shade or other occult practices is heavily frowned upon, lest a weary child find themselves with an unplanned, unpleasant family reunion. It's unclear if it's actually true, and either Shalmyllyn doesn't know herself or doesn't care to divulge. There's not to mention the fact of how eerily similar they are in appearance and movement. Nonetheless, they mostly keep to their own affairs and serve as readily available bodyguards for Lyn should she have need of them. These hatchlings are often vigilant and quick to act, but not hastily so. With their father's impulsiveness tempered by their mother's analytical nature, they are well suited to roles requiring a quick and logical response, such as sentries, tacticians, and mediators. It's not uncommon for them to make pilgrimages back to the Sunbeam Ruins to reengage their roots, and these children should be careful that they do not take up the mantle of zealotry. Their father, an unexpected result of the clan's early dabbling in alchemy, is now himself an accomplished chemist, and their mother is an industrial engineer mired in history to reverse engineer ingenuities from the past. They are taught to respect history, both its accomplishments and as a cautionary tale, but not at the cost of letting it interfere with the future - forward looking with a solid footing in the past. Despite their somewhat odd parentage, they seem - for the most part - perfectly healthy and entirely draconic. [/font] These children may be of the sea, but even beneath the waves, Plague influences those along its borders. The depths are no less dangerous than the Scarred Wasteland, and they are no less survivors for it. Adaptation, both natural and the kind that can only come from a lab, twists them further and further from standard features of their breed, and they're at home perhaps only in the dark waters they are born to. Though with their 'father' taken up residence in a metal shell and their 'mother' rendered infertile by self-modifications, their birth is far from natural. They are essentially modified clones of Nekane, grown from her DNA with design input given by Taranis. Before they're even fully formed, these children's genetics are tugged and twisted, and cybernetics are melded to their frames. Each one is different, and some have more machine components than others. Regardless of their make up, however, the Stormcatcher's influence on every one is immediately apparent. Just don't expect much of a familial bond from these two; they affectionately refer to their offspring as specimens. Children are still encouraged to report back periodically on their continued functioning so that their creators may update their logs. Having been raised in a glorified junkyard, they know how to eak out a living in scarce situations and know how to maintain their frames with the barest of resources. They also know how to crack just the right joke to break the tension when times are rough. It doesn't always make for a pretty picture though: like their parents, their metal frames are rusty patchworks of whatever they can find. Forget about a coordinated paint job. Regardless, their builders are knowledgeable in the mechanical upkeep of themselves and their home, and as such, their 'children' are well-suited to careers as tinkerers or scavengers.
