In a while he would add it to his satchel with the others and his maps. Not yet, though. He wanted to read it at least one more time before storing it away – when he was out in the wild, the words on the page helped him feel as if he were closer to home than he truly was. He found himself starting to look forward to his reception at the stead. Aeola, his adopted mother, would want to hear everything. Rayne would ask about resources, Ulysses about monsters or rival clans, and Ordinskaya about the various types of flora he saw on his trip. Part of him wondered if Chosen would be up to talking when he returned. She often was, but not always. He missed their discussions and their prank wars terribly sometimes, but now that he was grown he had a job to do. He was busy, and she was busy, and the whole wide world was busy, busy, busy as it spun around and around, leaving hardly any chances for he and his friend to talk face to face. A life of work is a lonely one it seemed, but the letters helped ease that problem. [br]In truth, it was good for him to spend time away from home. Part of his soul burned for adventure –a quiet, steady flame that made his chest flutter at the thought of uncharted lands – and he had always known he’d never truly be satisfied by a stationary life. And think of how much he learned this time! He had charted a whole new section to the north, at least six miles beyond the edges of his most current area map, and discovered what appeared to be an untouched hunting ground! Let me rephrase: It is exceedingly rare to find Rayne in his office. I usually see him hurrying from place to place within the stead, either with the accompaniment of his boss or on his own. He’s worth finding, if you have the time to look around. Everyone knows he's the most efficient administrator we have, so if you want something done and done quickly, he’s your dragon. When he is in his office, though, it’s kind of funny to look at; the room is small (even by the standards of our wee fledgling clan) and so full of books there’s scarcely room for his desk. He looks squished in there. He has to hunch over his workspace, horns nearly scraping against the ceiling, and usually you have to physically poke him before he notices you’re there. [br]Sometimes, on rare occasions, you can find his journal on his desk. You know the one. He takes it everywhere. It’s a rather striking tome, all things considered: the clasp hangs on by a thread, the pages have long since yellowed, and the binding is waterstained, worn, and overall appears to be around five times as old as the dragon who owns it. Many are tempted to open the tome. Some do. (I did.) We curious ones are rewarded with a stern lecture on “the individual right to privacy,” but also with insider info similar to this:” [br](The page ends here; you flip to the next and find that it looks decidedly different from the previous one, as if it were carefully ripped from a book. Aeola
How are our stores? Where did Gildas say he was hunting? The hatchlings – were they fed? Ach, Windsinger, where do I even begin? [br]When Aeola decided to leave home and start her own clan, no one could have warned her how many things she would have to keep in her head at once. This thought crossed her mind as she made her way down the beaten path that traced along the edge of a small lake in the Steppes, all the way from the clan's stead to their hunting grounds in a glen to the east. It was during these nighttime strolls that she had time to reflect. And, for one reason or another, her thoughts had a tendency to wander back to her responsibilities as leader and the duties she had yet to complete. She sighed. At times her skull felt it was fit to burst. Having Rayne around certainly helped ease the workload, though the fact remained there was a great deal of labor involved in the creation and maintenance of such a place. So many things to do and watch and consider… [br]The Guardian stopped for a moment, long enough to smell the sweetness of the wind and to admire the glistening reflection of the moon on the lake's crystal surface. Yes, leading a clan is work. Of that there is no doubt. But her heart said to her that it would never be a burden, and she had always been more inclined to listen to it than her head, anyway. Besides, this place was to be her legacy. Before she created this clan, she was no one. Alone. Little more than a pitiable, parentless whelp, found as an egg and raised in a clan that could not quite be her own. Well, that was no longer the case, was it? She was never truly anyone's daughter, but she could be a mother, not only to her own children but to any lost dragons that crossed her path. That was what was important, she decided. [br]Aeola drew a heavy, contented breath. Indeed, her life was a challenge, though she could not deny that it was the sort she had always wanted. She whispered a song to Windsinger as she walked, and - if only for a moment - she swore she could hear his harmonies in the cool, nighttime air. 1. Gildas
Quote:

“….and when you arrive home, you must try one of the new cakes Martzel has baked! The icing has wispfruit in it. I was not sure what to make of it at first, but I cannot deny it was tasty!

Ah, but I have ranted long enough. Do return safely, my child. A mother worries when her son is gone so long.

Take care,

Aeola”

Gildas twisted the letter between his talons, carefully ensuring that the pages neither tore nor creased.

In truth, it was good for him to spend time away from home. If it wasn’t for his adventurous spirit, they’d never have known.

He glanced down at the letter again.

“Do return safely, my child.”

He smiled at the parchment. He had a Wind dragon’s spirit, as Aeola said, but Chosen was quick to remind him that he also possessed the heart of a “mama’s boy,” and the thought of being gone too long did not sit well at all.

Perhaps it was time to return home.

I am really not sure how hard it is to write like 5 paras for this :x Payment: T. Probably I can send you 20k upfront just in case I forget... Personality: He is quiet due to the limitation on his communication abilities, and speaks in a rather slow monotone most of the time. But still he is holding on to a positive opinion towards other member of the clan despite being treated unfairly. He almost never gets mad (at least no one has yet seen it) and acts in a very tender way. Pre-Existing Lore: Ooops I wish there is one :T Relationships: He is constructed based on Aisling, like an imperfect copy of her or something. And she is the only member Lughaidh would regard as being close (which is not really reciprocated). Aisling treats him more like a toy (in the good way). He has little interactions with other dergs ever since the experimenting phase has completed. Members of the clan who he is more familiar with are the mechanics. Other: He is a prototype of the weapon project developed by the clan (the actual constructions of the project can be found on the second row on the first page, if you just happen to be interested c:). He is much weaker in pretty much all aspects than his fellow bots, but has a more life-like personality. The reason why Mirror is his title is just because he is like a clone. He does not tend to show much emotions, and is regarded by the mechanics as "being incapable of showing sentiments due to technical difficulties". He is thus allowed to have some free will, unlike other weapons who are set to obey the orders. Does this look fine? 8D

Relationships: He is constructed based on Aisling, like an imperfect copy of her or something.

@Espace

Hi there! That looks like more than enough information for five paragraphs! Just a quick question: would you like the bio from his perspective or from another dragon's (such as through the perspective of mechanic notes, etc.)? I should have included that in the order form ^.^'

@MissAmmunition

I would say either way you like... but I think a usual third-person narration would be cool enough? I am not an expert in writing, probably you can surprise me 8D
