Arben is Bianca’s adopted brother - the two of them grew up together, romping and playing in the streets, gutters, and wilderness that made up the space between the Light and Earth flights. They were outcasts of sorts - born that way, with no real lineage or known family solidly in either flight. When skirmishes between the two territories escalated, they fled together, searching for a place where their very existence would no longer be a controversy. After a year, they happened upon a dragon from the Spirals’ arcane town, and, after surveying it carefully, decided to settle down and make a life there.

Arben is fiercely protective of his sister - and, thanks to the poor treatment she routinely received growing up, is somewhat suspicious of dragons in general. He taught her how to speak and interact with dragons when she was still a hatchling, and still acts as an interpreter when she needs him to. Her rapidly growing independence makes him uncomfortable, but he’s incredibly proud of her.

In his spare time, he’s an artist. A painter, specifically. He’ll spend hours on his projects, dipping his tail in paints and expertly mixing mediums to create masterpieces.
