The lair sits beneath the crimson land, beneath bleached bones and the detritus littering the vast expanse of the Wandering Contagion. Tunnels branch from the entrance, labyrinthine corridors of stone lined with darkened stumps of torches as it extends into the subterranean abyss. Some lead to the personal quarters of the clan members, others to common rooms and guest quarters. Only one leads to the Library.

No one knows who built it, who hollowed the rock to create the cavernous hall, who collected the ancient tomes and preserved them upon darkened shelves. The Librarians do not remember anything from their past lives: attempting to inquire about the nature and history of the Library will result only to nothing. It may well be lost to bygone eons, known only by those in a faraway time.

Many still visit the Library for what it holds: the knowledge of past eras, the secrets scratched upon yellow parchment, or simply the seemingly endless darkness of the subterranean hall. The scholars come and go, and all of them leave with a curious expression on their faces, as if they learned all they wished, or learned too much.
