I once had an offer of 20kg on my XXY sapphire/sapphire/phthalo ice G1 hatch from this past NoTN, but I passed on it... those gems would have served me well but I will never be able to part with this kiddo. As far as a dragon I've bought or sold myself, I once sold an XXX hickory wildclaw for 500g, and bought an XYX G1 for 2kg and some eggs, but that doesn't hold a candle to some of the auctions I've seen in the AH (and the ones people brought up here - whew!). Not sure if someone answered already but pretty sure the most expensive dragon sold was a g1 imp. Think it sold for gem equivalent of 10,000$

I personally have never spent a ton buying a dragon though I’ve spent maybe 3000+ gems just on genes etc.

5kg for me... but that was without the breed change, without the new genes etc. so it was closer to 10kg. Still have the dragon though and I love him.

I know of at least two people who spent over 2 million gems on their initial purchases of a G1 Imp, not even factoring in the several hundred thousands' worth of gems on scatters thereafter. One of them was 2.6mil, I think? So over $20k worth of gems, and I still can't tell you if that was the most expensive dragon purchase ever recorded.

My friend sold a NotN hatch for 7.5kg! It was a lovely pastel XYZ. He was auctioning it off with 7.5kg as a rather ambitious autobuy, but then it got bought so apparently it wasn't too ambitious. [s]The most I've ever sold a dragon for is roughly 200g (they were level 25 unstoned so it's a pretty typical price).[/s] Wait, I forgot about sandsurges. The day after sandsurges were released, I booned a nest and sold the hatchlings for 650g each. The most I've ever paid for a dragon is 200g, and it was a g1 that was already an aberration + had the secondary gene I wanted, so I consider it a bargain. Runner-up is a 7-dig I bought for 190g.
