There's a large meeting hall that has pumpkins around it to mark where the main greeters are. (For my own sanity please just visit my lair once even though I'm in multiple tiers lol all visitors are guaranteed treats so don't worry about missing out if you're roleplaying -- the more fun the story the better treats there might be!) They're here to judge whether you're a threat. "Isn't that what guards are for?" you ask. Yes. But the things most likely to bring harm don't tend to [i]look [/i]as if they would. And few of the clan's guards know how to [i]look [/i]properly; they are too used to being on the other end of the [i]watching[/i]. It's not only dragons who like to sneak about in disguise during the spookier months, knocking oh-so-politely on doors. Naberius can recognize a changeling when they see one - they are kin of a sort to such things, after a fashion. (They've been called, in other lives, a [i]trickster [/i]- but that word leaves a bad taste in their mouth. No tricks. If all you want is a treat, well, they would be more than happy to do some [i]good [/i]in this world - for once.) He was encouraged to "cheer up the hatchlings with a story," though most of his "lore" consists of the mundane archives of his clan's life and its history. He may not look approachable, but Kouyo does have a secret soft spot for hatchlings. And if approached, he will often answer honestly. He supposes, if Midori felt he had to be a greeter, he had to drag his pal Kouyo out as well. Angel is, for all intents and purposes, a perfectly normal forever-young hatchling. Her egg was corrupted as it fell from space during the Aethers' arrival, but it only ever touched her body and not her mind. Even so, some are still unsettled by her, but her clan assured her that "this holiday is meant for spooky things, so you look the part!" So she carries with her a book for others to scribble scary stories into.
