Covered the mannequin of the most fitting dragon with an Invisibility Cloak, and the apparel layered above, pasted the png into Paint.NET, did some little editing like combining some apparel pieces, and voila!

Having to choose one of the openables has been the norm since the very beginning, this is not new and there is objectively nothing wrong about it. The whole point of it is the mystery and the mischievous spirit of the event. You get to choose the openable by your own evaluation and you get what you choose, and after all of that, you get to either purchase the others later on OR simply obtain them through chests. It's not like you will never be able to get these things afterwards, just give it a few days and you'll be able to buy one, if not immediately. Speaking of buying, you do understand that you are literally accusing the Staff of some shady tactic when they [i]gave you things for free.[/i] These were literally gifts. None of these is a randomised lootbox, all of these are openables that have 100% chance of dropping the one assigned thing. It's just that you choose which one you'll open and the mystery is that you don't know what will be inside. It's an [i]April Fools[/i] event. You got an item for free that the Staff didn't actually have to spend this much time and energy on and this is the attitude you chose... Please [i]please[/i] rethink this. Also, one's personal opinion on lanyards has nothing to do with facts. I know it might sound harsh but it's true. Just like my opinion on...idk, the Snowfall Robe doesn't create any fact. Just because I don't want to use the Snowfall Robe doesn't mean that the entire Staff played me and ruined my Crystalline Gala when it was released. Particularly not if so many people adore the Robe. All of these three items have the exact same value and the value is what we make out of it. None of these items is objectively "cooler" or "more appealing" or "more beautiful" as that is entirely the observer's opinion. It turns out that many MANY people absolutely adore the lanyard and are already incorporating it into their lore, and by far I've only seen them talk about cool, unique ways on how to implement that, while the two other items are more along the lines of aesthetics. Please don't be like this and rethink this whole situation, this is a very harmful way of thinking.

I’m gonna be honest I do like the lanyard! But I was expecting? Similar -ish things in all the chests, it’s quite a big difference in comparison.
I picked green cause, I like green and I’m a little stunned at the ‘size’ of the other items? My icon dragon will definitely wear it though since it fits :)
I wasn’t disappointed when I opened the bag, but on reading the forums and finding the other options were ‘bigger’ and very different style wise I’m at a little bit of a loss?

I like all the items and I bought the other two I didn't have off the AH (and will probably buy more when prices go down). In this house we stan Luminax.

The lanyards actually make a cool apparel item for lore reasons if you wanted to do, say, a Luminax cult, with disgruntled Light dragons who worship Luminax instead of Lightweaver, the lanyards can be amulets and proof of one's devotion. I'm just saying. I'm... kind of thinking of making a subclan of Luminax cultists, who can hang out with my Roundsey cult.

On it's own, the lanyard is quite cute and unique. But compared to the other two items, which are much larger, more detailed, and clearly more popular/ will be more expensive, I can see why those who got it (including me) are feeling like they got the short end of the stick.

Just wanted to say thanks to the devs for the wonderful items! They were definitely worth the wait! Had a blast waiting for them to open this morning as well!

I got the plush from my bag, bought the mascot, and am currently planning to buy an obscene number of lanyards once I've got the funds since they're the most versatile of the bunch.
There's just so much you can do with them! My first thought is turning my fossil dragons into Jurassic Park employee themed dragons!

[/quote] Yeah, absolutely this. I think it's a nice balance personally. A big item (the head), a medium item (the plushie), and a small item (landyard) for those who like less intrusive apparel. They're all very cute as well. No need for this level of backlash over a completely free, gag gift item.
