We're pleased to provide an update on the second batch (of several planned) updates in our ongoing efforts to enhance the usability of [i]Flight Rising[/i] for all players. As many of you know, we're placing a priority focus on [b]improving accessibility[/b] in every place we can, ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy our world and all it has to offer. This update continues our commitment and effort to do right by our entire community, making your journey smoother and more enjoyable. Let's dive in!
[size=5][b]Accessibility Updates[/b][/size]
We've been rolling out updates as they're completed and tested, so many of these may look familiar to you. In case you missed those, however, we've happily summarized them below! As you can see, a good swath of features received some extra [b]screen-reader[/b] love, including:

[*][b][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/scrying/predict]Predict Morphology[/url][/b] has been updated to include stronger [b]screen reader support[/b] and now [b]automatically generates dragon text descriptions[/b] based on the selections you've made in each field.
[*]Several text-based areas of the [b][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/game-database]Game Database[/url][/b], such as [b]item descriptions[/b], [b]categories[/b], and [b]comments from fellow players[/b] have been hooked up to be [b]screen reader-friendly[/b].
[*]We all love expressing ourselves, so we've taken the time to catch-up most text areas of the [b][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/clan-profile/]Clan Profile[/url][/b]. [b]Clan biographies, elements,[/b] and [b]profile comments[/b] should be much easier to interact with for players using [b]screen reader[/b] tools.
[*]A collection of navigability & functional improvements have been rolled out for the [b]Lair & Hibernal Den[/b].
[*]Screen-reader support has also been extended to the [b][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums]Forums[/url][/b], as well as important [b]sitewide navigability elements[/b]:

[*][b]Breadcrumb links[/b]
[*][b]Pagination[/b]
[/LIST]
[/LIST]
But we're not done yet! A handful of additional [b]screen-reader integrations[/b] are in testing right now and will be rolling out very soon! They include:
[LIST]
[*]Functions of the [b]Hoard & Vault[/b]
[*]Readability improvements for [b]Dragon Profiles[/b], and...
[*]Expanded accessibility for the [b]private message system[/b]
[/LIST]
These changes will all make their way into our [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/site/dev-tracker/1][b]Dev Tracker[/b][/url].
[b][size=5]Quality of Life Changes[/size][/b]
In addition to accessibility, we have also been committed to continuously implementing [b]oft-asked for quality of life improvements[/b] whenever we can. Here are some changes that have rolled out in the last few months:
[LIST]
[*]Like many other cosmetic specialty items, it is now possible to [b]preview the effects of a Reflection Scroll[/b] by clicking the item's [b]icon[/b] in [b]forum posts[/b], [b]dragon profiles[/b], and other places that support BBcode tags.
[*]By popular demand, we have created [b]read-only versions[/b] of our concluded sitewide events, [i][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/effort/archive/1]Dustcarve Dig[/url][/i] & [i][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/effort/archive/2]Unfathomable Odyssey[/url] [/i]which are now available through the [b]Encyclopedia[/b]. If you missed either limited time event, or simply want to relive each moment, now you can! Player suggestions were instrumental to this project, and we're happy to provide it, considering how important both events have been to the ongoing story of Sornieth!
[/LIST]
[b][size=5]Pinglists[/size][/b]
Very soon, we'll be rolling out a few helpful [b]modifications[/b] to the [b]Pinglist[/b] system as well! We've been intently watching discussions that will help forge the future of this feature, so it should by no means be considered a stopping point. In the meantime, we felt these were some good steps in the right direction:
[LIST]
[*]It will soon be possible to [b]sort your pinglists[/b] by the following parameters: [b]Pinglist ID[/b], [b]Pinglist Name[/b], and [b]Pinglist Subscriber Count[/b]
[*]A new option is being added for pinglist owners allowing them to [b]clear the list of its subscribers[/b]. This will provide pinglists expanded flexibility for use in more ephemeral situations like [b]limited time player-run activities[/b] or [b]skin shop sign-ups[/b], and more.
[*]Pinglist owners will gain the ability to [b]appoint another player[/b] (or players) with the newly-implemented role of "[b]List Assist[/b]". While owners will still retain full management control over their personal pinglists, List Assists will be granted [b]permission to [i]use[/i] the pinglist command[/b] (eg. [i]@pinglist-#[/i]) for the list they've been invited to assist with.
[/LIST]
There's a [i]ton of really exciting stuff in motion[/i] within the workshop, but that'll have to be it for today! Thank you for supporting our efforts to keep making [i]Flight Rising [/i]even better.
[b][size=5]Oh, and by the way...[/size][/b]
We have increased the maximum number of lair slots by [b]5[/b]. You can now have up to [b]225[/b] dragons in your lair! [emoji=banescale love size=1]
