WELCOME!



You can call me Topaz! I use she/her pronouns.

I made this account on May 15, 2017 out of my deep interest in dragons (which has existed since I was very small). I discovered this website (thanks to my lovely friend Cennah), and fell in love with the idea of breeding, decorating, trading, and caring for my own dragons. The community here welcomed me with open arms, giving me lots of great dragons to start my clan with.

My goal is to continue to make all of my dragons beautiful, and add great story lines to them.

The Clan of Nimue Harbor began with two Guardian Dragons, and a Nocturne.

Knightly burst into the lives of Rupert and Alanna shortly after the two had established that they were a couple. Knightly had asked if they could spare an explorer of Sornieth some food and shelter for the evening. Rupert, the generous soul that he was let Knightly into their liar. Alanna, unsure of the newcomer was assured by Rupert that if anything went wrong, he would take care of it. As the night went on, the three became more relaxed around each other. Knightly opened up about all of his travels, spinning stories that Alanna couldn't help but be sucked into. It was late, the fire a gentle glow instead of a roaring mass of flame when Knightly admitted, that he had started to think about settling down. Not entirely of course--but have a place he could call home, and return to regularly. He talked about how on his adventures, he had met other dragons who were also technically homeless. Ones who had desired a clan to call their own. Many had chosen to live a life of roaming from region to region, but others had been forced into it by circumstances beyond their control. This caught Rupert's attention, and Alanna could tell that a thought had begun to take over her mate's mind.
That's when Rupert suggested they form a clan for these wandering dragons who desired to wander no longer. For those that wanted a new beginning of their lives with a stable support system, a make shift family--a place to set down roots. Knightly was delighted by such a prospect. He already knew of a few dragons who would relish such a safe harbor to start over. Harbor--the word captured the imagination of Rupert. A Safe Harbor--yes! Here in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. He and Knightly excitedly exchanged ideas, and plans. Alanna quietly watched the two males work out logistics, her brow furrowing. She had just gotten used to the idea of having a permanent mate...her independent spirit didn't like the idea of having more dragons around. Sensing his new mate's discomfort at the prospect of starting a full-blown clan Rupert excused himself from his conversation with Knightly saying he wanted to stretch his wings. He signaled Alanna to join him, and they took to the sky. It was a minute before Alanna confessed that she didn't want to feel too tied down to anything like a clan. She didn't want to be a leader or a mentor for other dragons. The responsibility quiet frankly scared her. Rupert listened, and then told her that she could be as involved as she wanted to be. The clan would be his project and he was okay if she decided to not be a part of the big decision making or leadership. Alanna asked if she could think about it until morning. Rupert said he was more than happy to give her all the time that she needed.

Morning came, and Alanna agreed to the formation of The Clan of Nimue Harbor. Nimue, after the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian Legend. Knightly said the image of a hand outstretched from the water offering a home to dragons who desired to join their clan was quite poetic.

So, years later the clan has become filled with dragons of all breeds and professions. The history of its beginning and continued growth is being kept by an avid scholar. There is a matchmaker trying to set everyone up, a prophetess whose predictions are 90% of the time completely true, valiant warriors, a sassy inventor, and a dark magic user.

Rupert protects, and leads his clan. He is in his element, and his happiness brings a lot of joy to Alanna although she'd never admit it out right to anybody.
