TOPIC | Bio codes/templates for dragon name etc
It would be useful to have codes that would get replaced with the dragon's name and maybe other data like breed and element in a dragon's biography: - If you have a template you want to use for several dragons or share with other users, you won't have to worry about remembering to replace the name and other stuff that varies per dragon and is hardcoded anyway - If you change a dragon's name or breed, you won't have to worry about remembering to replacing that stuff in their bio For example, if Earthshaker had a biography, the code could look like this:
[dname], the [delement] [dbreed]
and it would turn into this:
Earthshaker, the Earth Deity
* The code could also optionally accept an ID so that you can reference other dragons or use it the forums and other places. For example if someone was selling Earthshaker along with tens of other dragons, they could use a template like this, which they would only have to copy a dragon's id for instead of several different words for every dragon:
[dname=1] ([dbreed=1], [delement=1])
and it would turn into this:
Earthshaker (Deity, Earth)
* It would be pretty cool if it was also possible to insert emojis based on elements the same way (and maybe smileys with breeds). Something like [delementrune=1] and [dbreedsad=12] would turn into [emoji=earth rune size=1] and [emoji=imperial sad size=1] respectively (12 is not a typo, that's the first dragon who is not a deity but an imperial. Deity smileys would either not work or turn into the closest looking breed, idk. maybe we could get all the deity smileys just for this :P) * Of course the code names are just a suggestion, i just feel like "dname" is a good compromise between "name" (what name?) and "dragonname" (too long!)
