Translation is not easy. If it were, we would be using Google Translate and there would be no such thing as a translator or interpreter.
FR is not a German game. Its staff and support teams use English to communicate. If they don't understand German, how would they support the proposed German population? Communication on the forums must be in English per ToS; would this change with a German translation of the game? True, other games like Howrse have multi-language support, but they are much, much bigger and can afford to retain multiple teams to support the different language versions of the site.
And why just German? Why not Chinese, which is arguably a language more commonly spoken than German? Or Spanish, which is also more commonly spoken than German?

I've seen a lot of russians on this site, by this logic fr should be available in Russian, a lot of chinese people here doesn't play this game because of language issues(and google captcha) so fr should have a Chinese version as well, plus Spanish is so widely spoken, why can't it have a Spanish version? I'm gonna have to say no support (coming from another German person btw). If translations are, as you put it, so easy, what little English you need for the basics of the game is easily learnt as well, and it might even open doors to learning English for those who struggled with it before, because unlike most school, a game such as FR provides the opportunity to learn the language in a fun, entertaining way.
Plus, as others have noted, if there was going to be a German translation, there'd need to be other translations as wel. A lot of other translations. Who'd provide these - actual professional translators or volunteers? If it's the first, who is going to pay them, if it's the latter, the results might not be ideal and take a long time.

In addition to what’s already been said, i don’t think getting more players is really a problem. The site already gets laggy when there’s 4K plus people on for festivals. I’m not sure if deliberately trying to raise growth is necessarily the best idea. Also, while it’s very possible to make an understandable translation, it’s very hard to make a good one

As a native German I have to say no support for reasons stated above and adding in that German is hard. I could go into the depths of lingusitic woes here, but suffice to say English is a very, very simple language compared to German, which is probably one of the reasons it's spoken so widely across the (western) world.
Also, it's a nice thing to have a lot of different nationalities on one site that engage in exchange. If we added more laguages it would invariably lead to a speration of the community. Say we get a Russian and a Chinese version. I can't read either alphabet, excluding me from a lot of conversation, leaving me poorer for it. And I'm quite certain I'm not the only one in that boat.

This is such a good point. I'd rather FR moves towards a more united situation, rather than separated. Also if say I want to open a shop, I'd have to open it in sale forums of every language I can read, otherwise I'd miss out a lot of potential customers.... The list goes on and on....

No, in all honesty, the entire internet is in English basically if you ask me ? The most standard language on the internet is English. Also more people speak English even in Germany, France, Poland, China, India, Russia,... then you even realise. Btw English is mandatory in German schools as far as I know... so they have enough English knowledge for this site anyways (as this site is pointed towards a younger audience). I live in BE where English is also mandatory in school and after 1.5yrs of English lessons I had plenty enough knowledge to navigate this site without any issues, and this is many years ago now, so by this point education has evolved even more and they'll probably be able to navigated the site even quicker.
