While the update to the dens introduced a number of benefits, there are a list of grievances I, my friends, and some other users have. I'm calling these "quality of life" because while the mechanics aren't broken, they could be bettered.
Also, a lot would be bettered with toggable options instead of forced changes.
Allow for an option to opt back into an "old" look. Frankly, I think the new design looks rather dull, vacant, and colorless. It's neither an intuitive nor engaging UI design.
Bring back there being a color difference in the male/female signs. They're white symbols in a light gray corner in an UI that's already white and gray.
In general, color contrast between the male/female symbols, but also the elemental symbols, are important. The element symbols are very washed out.
Allow dragons on pages to automatically shift over if you exalt. I exalted two dragons and it left two empty spaces on those pages instead of my dragons on the next page automatically shifting into those spaces. Trying to correct this in the Edit page was also an annoying process for what should happen automatically.
I personally find trying to reorganize my dragons vertically to be a hassle, especially when I'm trying to move multiple and shift all my dragons like above. I also ran into a weird problem where it started to make my fourth page into rows of 5 instead of 4. I moved a lot more dragons individually than I should have had to.
Allow the option for the cooldown counter to show up in either a date or the number of days.
Show us our empty spaces, staff.
I feel like this site's look and interfaces was actually pretty sleek to begin with. I'd rather not to see it devolved into disconnected grey round shapes in space because that is what is considered a "new" design.

I support all of this! I think giving users more options, especially within their own lairs, is always better, rather than forcing sometimes unwanted changes onto them

Support for giving us the option to choose the old layout if we want it. I don't like the new UI and find it almost childish in a way - I know this site isn't adults-only, but I really liked the smartness and clear lines of everything - the icons were proportionate to the rest of the page.

Amen to all of that. It's nice that they are trying to make everything look more modern I guess? But I do think they are starting to get a little over the top with all the white, grey and lack of color.
I do believe that the empty spaces left by dragons is a bug and they'll gonna fix it.
And I would really love to see my empty spaces in the main tab at least. It makes me kinda anxious that I don't see how much lair space I have left.

I agree with this, especially visual aspects. The dragons not automatically shifting to the next page also bothers me, because it creates extra steps every time a dragon sells, gets exalted, traded, etc.

The only thing I've liked about this update is that I could finally put my lair back to having 15 dragons per page (like it originally was a long time ago), but I've already seen how allowing that to even happen is incredibly frustrating with regards to selling/exalting/etc. I'm now wondering what happens when you obtain a whole bunch of dragons? Does it just keep expanding the last page in your lair until you hit the 60 dragon limit? That also seems really frustrating if you like a consistent amount of dragons per page (and you have to manually move all of them in an incredibly tedious way).

I do support dragons shifting over when they're exalted. And it'd be really nice if we could check mark multiple dragons and then drag and drop all of them into a new location rather than move them one at a time.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
