For both my Mire Flyer and my Kelp Beds team Sap works totally fine for me.
Usually the Mire Flyer doesn't get hit often so I don't need to use Sap that much. And I often use it on the Brilliant Psyworms and the Mossy Cerdaes which I have to scratch (or sap) before I use Eliminate anyway. :->
So it's not worthless imo. I use it all the time.
I mean, yeah, maybe it could be improved? I don't mind.
But I just wanted to share my experiences. :-D
