TOPIC | Visible tally for the Dominance Rankings
Hi, so I've been extremely curious on how good or bad a flight is doing on the dominance chart. For example, how many dragons for the Wind flight have been exalted so far? I believe that this would benefit the site greatly. Because I don't think I can explain this in detail (that and I have writer's block atm,) What do you all think of this idea?

No support. Then users can figure out the formula FR uses and try to exploit it.

For example, what if the formula was the number of dragons exalted divided by the number of exalters? (1000 dragon divided by 100 exalters = 10 points). If users knew that, they'd designate select people to exalt and funnel dragons toward them, giving them an advantage. (1000 dragons divided by 10 exalters = 100 points. This would put larger flights at a huge advantage since they'd have more dragons to funnel). Again, it's only an example. But no support for anything that'll reveal the mechanics. We know who is first and second and third etc, that's good enough for me.

Pings are disabled.

If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
No support. When there's the perception of a close race, people will exalt more. If it's clear that one flight is leagues ahead, the top and second flight won't feel the need to exalt because the top will feel secure and the second will feel like theres no way its worth it. The whole purpose is to ensure dragons are exalted soo....

No way. Half of the intensity of dom battles is not knowing how far ahead or behind you are. For instance, in the recent Light vs. Shadow battle, Light held the lead for the last few days, but everyone was still crazy tense and playing as though Shadow was only one dragon behind (and I'm sure it wasn't far from the truth). But if a flight in that situation was actually quite far ahead and knew it, it'd suck the intensity right out of the fight and make the last few days boring.

No support. I think the cool thing about Dominance is not knowing how far ahead you are and that's what makes it more intense and fun. If there was visible tallies it would be too easy.

No support in this format. However, I think if at the end of the week we were given a tally of the rankings, either in 'points' or how many dragons were exalted, that wouldn't harm the pushes and still satisfy the curious. Plus it could spur people to do better! 'Last time we only exalted 10k, let's go for 15!' type of thing.

No support for OP, but I would like us to have more insight into how dom is calculated. Especially how much more a levelled dragon is worth over an unlevelled one, to give trainers like me a better idea of what level to train to. No support for tally showing during the fight, but I like how twitchy shared how many dragons were exalted by all parties (just one big number, not per flight)
