Hear me out, but I can't be the only one who'd occasionally like to confidently stride into the market, throw down a ton of treasure and walk away with a full, matching outfit and not having to spend my scarce gems on it.
I propose full apparel bundles that can be purchased for treasure utilizing treasure based apparel. (for example burnished gold armor, navy body wraps, eastsong facemask&haori)

feel free to call me dumb if this is a bad idea, but I feel it could help out people like me who want their dragons' clothes to match
and the 10% discount in bulk is kinda nice too

I can maybe support the treasure apparel having bundles, but I think they'd have to cost more than if you bought each piece individually, since its more convenient to buy them all at once.

They should cost quite a bit more, because the odds are very unlikely that you will find all pieces of a set for sale at once in the treasure MP.

The idea is to have a similar counterpart to the treasure bundles. If you're buying in bulk, a full set will set you back 32000-70000. Players can still farm to get items, and likely get the full set cheaper from the a.h, but if you bump the price up for the full set, convenience or no you'll have fewer buyers rendering it moot. It'd need to be stock price or the small 10% discount. After all, that kind of discount still renders infinite sales loops worthless. No harm no foul.

The gem bundles are discounted because they cost real money, and just like with real stores, the point of the discount is to encourage people to shell out more money than they planned to. Since all gem items are always available (until they get cycled out), the only benefit of the bundle is the discount. You could always buy each piece individually, without worrying about some pieces not being there.

The treasure MP is different. At any given time, only a few pages of items are available, and almost never is every piece of a set available. So, for the treasure MP, the bundle's benefit would be getting every piece at once so that you don't have to stalk the MP anymore. That is well worth the added price to many people. In addition, the site doesn't need to convince people to spend a lot of treasure at once, like it does for gems, since the treasure doesn't translate to real money that takes care of the site. So they don't have any reason to offer a discount.

@TwennytheTyrant Where did the 10% discount come in? Are you talking the Dominance discount?

The Night Sky Silks Bundle is 1012 gems in the store, but if you tab up the individual prices they come out to 1000 gems. You are paying a convenience fee for not having to click on 8 separate items to buy them. 12 gems at today's gem:treasure ratio is between 4000T and 5000T. Definitely no 10% discount there.

If you are going to bundle treasure MP items, which are not guaranteed to show up all at the same time as it is, there should definitely be a hefty fee for the convenience of not having to wait around for your particular item to show up on the restock.

Also, after re-reading your first post, are you suggesting that the Gem MP bundles be made available via Treasure? No support on that. Treasure is a generated currency, people earn thousands and thousands of that a day. You have to either gather gems via chests (which you get paltry amounts from), or they have to be bought to be introduced into the market. When you buy gems from other players, odds are, they bought them with RLC. The gem store is a good way to encourage users to buy gems, which help pay for the website itself. Making those items available via treasure would give less incentive, as they wouldn't need to spend real cash to get the items any more.

There is a reason though. The auction house changes everything. With the auction house in play the player CAN get the item cheaper. But that also creates the problem of no one buying it from the market. If no one buys, no new ones circulate, ah prices rise, and it encourages the practice of snagging something that rarely pops up and selling at a high profit. (for example bloody wraps) the other issue is that higher prices negatively effects the casual player. Since the treasure marketplace shuffles, and sometimes something with dozens in stock, will disappear. People who don't grind and exalt farm for money simply won't be able to utilize that feature. The minute they do grind and save for the bundle itmay be gone

one of the silks is on another page and when totaled comes to 1125. If you dock 10% it knocks off 112.5 gems. So 1012 IS a discount. And I would never suggest gem bundles move to treasure markets. I'm suggesting that it work identical to the gem market. 10% off a bundle and convenience. I might actually USE the market instead of A.H.ing everything if I had a reason to. And I think it's be a good economy booster. If you look at the economy of a game like team fortress 2 you'll notice it works out better that way.

I don't believe the fillet is included in the bundle for the silks.

@TwennytheTyrant Ah I didn't think to click over to the next page, thank you for correcting me. c: I still feel like my point is valid though.. It makes sense for Gem MP items to have a discount, as all of the items are available all of the time.

Players who buy individual items and price them cheaper than MP prices on the AH will still get people buying it from the AH, pricey bundles or no. And people who price them higher than the MP but lower than the bundle will be treated like the MP if the item is not in stock- if there's no supply on the MP they'll go to the supply on the AH. If they really want the item, they'll pay the extra bit for it. I feel like the same rule of thumb applies to bundles. If you really want to get a whole set without having to deal with the hassle of snipers, or bad MP re-stocks, you'll pay a bit extra for it.

I've never played TF2, so if you want me to understand that bit, you'll have to detail it out. Sorry!
