I don't know if it's just me, but (even though I never have enough to buy outfits) when I'm looking at apparel, I don't find the generic greyscale dragon detailed enough to show me what that certain item would look like on one of my own dragons.
I was thinking:
1. Instead of the breed/♀|♂ dropdowns, we have a dropdown with a list of the dragons in our lair, so we can see what the apparel looks like on our own dragons before we buy it. I've bought several apparel items thinking they would be perfect for my dragons, but then find that the colors don't quite look right together or something.
or 2. Something like a dress-up where we can use a system like the Predict Morphology page and then preview apparel on that dragon (using something like the AH search for apparel) as well.

This idea is so perfect! I love both ideas.
Idea 1: its right at your finger tips while you're shopping
Idea 2: It's a fun time for you to experiment and play around with your dragons! Maybe have a drop down menu of your dragon's names (one menu for boys, one for girls), and then that dragon gets set on a pedestal (kinda like the exalt pedestal but.. not..?), with all the different categories of apparel on the sides. There could be a picture of pants, shirts, head accessories, etc on the side one on top of each other, and when clicked, the other images disappear and the image you clicked would fan out (I guess?) and you would see a bunch of images of apparel possibilities (existing of course) to choose from. And when you close that tab, the item doesn't disappear from your dragon! You can create cool apparel combos and plan out your shopping list before you buy anything. Super nice tool to both increase creativity and increase money spent in the game! Love it. Giant support from me.

This is probably a weird example, but I remember from a couple years ago a website for neopets where you would put in species and color, and then you could choose a category (headgear, glasses, gloves, etc), and then dress them up, and it kept a list of the items it was wearing.

Support, though I do understand why FR might opt to use the greyscale dragons for outfit previews. What would be interesting however is if we could preview multiple apparel items. That I think would be awesome!
