It allows [b]accent/skin seekers[/b] to add their usernames to lists that interest them (ex: "Male Ridgeback Skins" or "Female Tundra Accents") and then receive pings when a new accent is released for sale, pre-order or for WIPs on the forums that matches these specifications. There is also an option to specify what they don't like to be pinged for. For [b]accent/skin makers[/b], GASP pinglists can be copied and posted to personal 'accent shops' (threads) when releasing accents matching one of more of the breed/pose specific categories. Users who have specified they would not like to be pinged for that type of accent will be automatically filtered out. [*]You [b]can ping[/b] for sales, auctions, pre-orders, or wips. [*][b]Do not ping[/b] for interest checks or price checks! [*]Please [b]select all keywords[/b] that apply to your skin/accent! It is important to help us filter people both in AND out. [*]Make sure to include a [b]preview image[/b] of your accent/skin at the top of any posts that use a GASP pinglist! This will allow users to quickly see why they've been pinged and prevent them from having to hunt through your shop for images. [*]Do not ping twice from GASP for the same skin/accent, unless you're re-releasing it after a hiatus/retirement of[b] 3+ months[/b]. [center][color=#54426B][size=7][font=georgia][b]FAQ[/b][/color][/size][/center] [emoji=brown gem size=1] [b]What kinds of things should I comment in the GASP thread for?[/b] [b]Requests for entry edit or removal[/b] If you want any existing entries of yours to the GASP pinglist edited or removed, please post in the thread saying so, and one of us will get on it as soon as we can! You can check your existing entries to the pinglist yourself by looking [url=https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13Qr1i85_XXrflbOD-4IYbEA8do_G-K_nD86VW1GDSig/edit?usp=sharing]here[/url] and using ctrl+F or the "find and replace" function to search for your username. Edits to entries can include updating your username if you've changed it, adding or removing specific tags to your pinglist or DNP list, and correcting any potential errors. [b]Misuse of the GASP pinglist[/b] (mispings, mistagged UMs, overly frequent use, etc) When posting about GASP pinglist violations, please do not share details of the violation in question in the GASP thread. This can fall under the "callouts" portion of Flight Rising's rules and guidelines. Instead, post in the thread that you've noticed a violation, and wait for a GASP mod to respond. One of us will ask you to send a PM with all relevant info. We prefer you let us know in this thread instead of posting about it elsewhere, so we're more likely to see and address the issue. [b]Error reports [/b]Sometimes bugs happen in the pinglist, the form submission, or the pinglist generator! If you encounter one, please let us know in the thread so we can troubleshoot! Do be sure to check recent posts to see if anyone else has encountered the same issue. If you're unsure on if you should post here, post it anyway, and we'll help the best we can. If you're unsure on if something is too complex or may risk violating FR's rules and guidelines, feel free to request a mod's attention for a DM, and one of us can sort it out with you privately! REMINDER that we only manage matters involving the GASP pinglist. We are not mods of the site itself, and thus cannot resolve any technical issues with skins or accents. [emoji=brown gem size=1] [b]What happens if I make an error?[/b] [b]I input my user ID# instead of my username![/b] That's alright! Comment in the thread if you notice yourself, and one of the mods will fix it for you! Otherwise, we semi-regularly check the pinglist for any instances of this mistake, and we will ping you if we change your entries for any reason. Otherwise, the only downfall of this error is simply that you won't be receiving any GASP pings! [b]I made a GASP rule violation![/b] In response to GASP pinglist violations, we will usually send a PM to the user in question, letting them know how they've misused GASP and advising them for the future. This is not anything aggressive, just a light reminder of our rules!
