@randompebble okay so i think what makes it work on the imps is the feathery feel so i think doing something between seraph and trail would be best to get that effect on banes

personally would use trail as the guide for swoopies and then seraph to make the cracks - so closer to the second edit than the first
EDIT: i suck at this type of stylization but basically try to arrange the wing shards to flow in the same direction as the wing's edge (right now theyre going sorta perpendicular)

@WickedPixie oooh, I'll definitely give that a shot! I went with the perpendicular pattern originally since I try to follow the existing shapes and folds of the wings, but I'll give that approach a shot instead! I didn't try the other direction, so maybe that's why I was so unhappy with my version :> Thank you for your input!
