TOPIC | {Private} The Maze
((Private Rp between myself and @AceofSpades))

It was dark, cold. You awaken to find yourself in an enclosed space. Moss covered and damp walls surround you, with no way out. You try and you try and you try to claw your way through, looking for a way out. There's barely any light filtering into the cold room. With what little light there is, you search your surroundings. Something catches your eye, and slowly, you make your way towards it. Curious, you reach out, touch the oddly pale white object. Suddenly, the light flares up and you see there a shackled dragon. Or, what was once a dragon. Nothing but bones are left of it.

The sight frightens you, and suddenly, a gate way of sorts opens up. Eyes narrow to adjust to the sudden brightness that appears through the doorway. Slowly, carefully, you make your way forward. Eyes then widen as you stare ahead of yourself. There's a long corridor with walls so tall, you can barely see the ceiling above. Torches light the hallway every fifteen yards, leaving some areas of darkness.

It is then that you hear the voice. It echoes off the walls, bounces between corridors, reverberates in your mind. As it speaks, you wonder who it is, why you are here.

"Welcome to my Maze," hisses the eerie voice. "You are now trapped inside of this place, with only one way out. There are traps and creatures unseen before in these dark halls. You may be lucky and find food or herbal medicines to aid you along the way, perhaps a drink of water.... Can you survive my game?"

He shuffled back a few feet and folded his wings against his back, golden slit eyes drifting about the hall another moment before he finally managed to force himself forward. His long talons clacked on the stone floor beneath him as he slunk along, opting to, for the most part, remain in the shadows, his ebon skin aiding him as he slipped along in the shadows between the wall mounted torches that flicker and cast oblong shadows to dance along the stone walls.

Eyes wide, the light green hues staring out into the hall, he swallowed hard. The maize colored Mirror began to slowly slink along the long corridor. After what seemed like an eternity for him, he came to a split. The wall had opened up much to his surprise on the left side. There, he had a debate. Myste could continue forward, continue straight, or he could take the turn...

After a moments debate, the Mirror had taken the turn and began his trek down a new path. This one was lit better, but had more water along the cold stone floor. Where the water came from, he didn't know. And, as he moved for what seemed like hours, taking twists and turns, he swore he saw another dragon.

Myst couldn't hide himself here, not in these dark places. His off-white scales stood out too much.

Aedan slunk along the stone wall, his side pressed against its cool surface as he edged along, every noise set the young drake on edge. He came upon a few turn offs and hidden hall ways but stayed his course and continued on straight, slow and even strides as he maneuvered his frame through the lengthy corridor and proceeded on. His golden eyes seeming to glow in the dim lit hallway.

Sure enough, his eyes had spied the dragon. Heat sensers had gone and told him.

"Hello?" Myste called out to Aedan.

While his normal vision could not spy the obsidian dragon, his heat vision sure could. Perhaps this dragon new more about the area than he did... He sure hoped so, and if not, perhaps they could work together in getting out.

Aedan arched his spine and scurried back, nearly tripping over himself as he attempted to hide himself from the voice. Too late though, he'd been spotted. He coiled himself in a corner and did the only thing he could think to do, lay in wait. If the other wanted a fight he'd get one, aedan knew naught the intentions of this other being, and thus an aggressive front was put up.

"Hello...?" Myste again called.

Slowly, he approached, more curious than anything else.

"Do you know where we are? Or...who that voice was?"

He had to know, right? He was acting all funny...
