Belzebuth | Open
A slumbering beast lay on the rocks not far from the port. The sounds of docking ships and quiet commotion fell on nearly deaf ears. Belzebuth had been sleeping for days at this point. The cold the storm brought in made it much more lethargic than it already was. Sadly, it could not stay in one place forever. Especially now that the storm had passed. It was half submerged in water that would move out with the clearer weather.
A meal would be helpful. Fuel for journey ahead.

Belzebuth lifted its large head and sleepily opened its beady eyes. It was currently covered in all manners of leaves and debris the storm dragged in. It had never been one for appearances though. As long as it wasn’t restricting movement its garbage cloak was a welcome thing.

Slowly it stood and headed towards the lights of the town. The food of more sophisticated humanoids was much easier to enjoy compared to things it could catch on its own. Hunting was too much effort and cooking was out of the question.

It started on four legs until hidden in the darker areas between buildings. Then it righted itself to two so it could use its almost-hands to rifle through crates, garbage, and open windows. A larger building caught its attention. These places where lots of people gathered usually had an abundance of tasty morsels. Belzebuth had yet to learn to read but if it could it would know this place to be an inn.

It was on its way to slink behind the inn and dig through the garbage but it stopped after a few steps. Large eyes furrowed as it tried to think. People walk in the front door and get to eat even more food than the trash offers! Yes! Go inside and eat the humans- no wait. Go inside and be good like humans.

Belzebuth shook off its second skin of decaying leaves and trudged through the door, tracking mud in its wake. It did its best to smile like it had seen others do but the expression was terrifying on the fishfolk’s mug.

Tavita looked up as a very tall floppy and in her opinion kinda cute creature strolled in through the doors. The only thing not cute about this creature was it was tracking in mud... Tavita sighed and yelled into the kitchen for Noval a young boy to mop it up. Many in the tavern looked up nervously. Many odd and scary things have passed through those doors but none such as the creature standing attempting a smile before them.

Adria
Adria swallowed quietly as the room became tense and quiet as many stared at the creature warily. Wyatt merely turned curiously showing no concern other than the hand at his black powder pistol. And knife. Before anything could happen the older sailor that had walked in stood dumping his chair back sloshing a mug in his hand. "Ye look like yer one of them demon creatures the gods sent to guard ye elemental gems!" He grinned drunkenly at the creature standing in the room.

(Please be patient with me as I'm about to attempt to make up a cool scary action packed legendary story to get everyone's attention)

Darren inhales as he continues to be ignored by the bartender, “Excuse me —“
Anon shakes his head slightly. At this point man, just give up.
“You might want to leave the place if you don’t think you’ll find him out on the sea,” he warns Winifred.

[columns] ___________ [emoji=seashell size=1] [emoji=nautilus size=1] [nextcol] Bay Interactions: Open [/columns] A tall beast-looking boy wandered in the darkness of the harbor, watching the ships and people. Bay had flown to the coast in search of anything interesting. Humans tended to leave things laying about. Sometimes something tasty, which was really what he was looking for at the moment. But, unfortunately, it didn't look like any of the ships contained food that he could snatch up. Bay turned towards the lights of the nearby town, considering whether or not to enter. It wasn't too bad, but people in these parts seemed to be a bit scared of him, not that he minded, but...some of them were getting more aggressive of late. Still, he recalled the last meal he pilfered from them, and his stomach rumbled. Some sort of shrimp, accompanied by meats and vegetables, and a strange, golden-yellow liquid. It had been delicious, and the humans' food tended to be that way. If only they weren't so moody about Bay going through those big boxes they had behind buildings. But something like that meal again...he'd risk a bit of anger. The harpy darted in the direction of the light, wings pressed to his body. Really, even if they did scream or throw things at him, whatever he could swoop up was sure to be enjoyable. He dashed from shadow to shadow until he came across what looked like a suitable spot to scavenge. Actually, it looked like someone else had the same idea very recently. Maybe they were still in the box of discarded food. Hopefully they could share the space for a moment. Bay hopped over to it, fluttering his wings in excitement. He threw a glance over his shoulder, and, seeing that no one was watching, leapt up and into the bin. His talons dug into a pile of...something to keep his balance, but it wasn't very stable, and he ended up falling, causing a loud rattling sound to ring out. Hopefully no one came to investigate. Bay righted himself, then crouched on his knees and used his talons to dig through the trash, occasionally picking up a particularly interesting can or other item and tossing it out of the box for later, making more noise.

MAGGY

“Woah! Is that a sea nymph?” Maggy turned in his stool, causing a bit of beer to spill. His eyes were full of curiosity, though he didn’t want to admit it, he thought the beast was a little… ugly. He didn’t say anything about it though, hoping the mysterious sea creature wouldn’t curse him.

PIERRE

Pierre was a bit annoyed he didn’t have anything to fill his need for alcohol, he turned once he saw others turning to look at Belzebuth. He didn’t say anything, but did take the wallet of the person sitting next to him in the commotion.

Belzebuth | Interactions: everyone? Mainly sailor guy

Belzebuth did not mind all the eyes suddenly turned its way. In fact, it did not even notice. All things considered it would be more strange for such a creature to be ignored. A shocked few patrons scurried out of the door behind it wished it watched with not so keen eyes. There was a small humanoid playing in the mud now. It quite liked the little ones.

Belzebuth took a few steps closer to the man who had addressed it. Its posture was hunched to account for its strange anatomy. Light glimmered off of the slime that coated many thin and misshapen scales. Fins, frills, spines, and tendrils poked out almost randomly wherever there was space. Its large head was leaned down and cocked to the side to better see the smiling sailor. It was far too close for comfort, only a few inches separated the two.
Almost nonexistent lips parted to copy the man’s grin. A horrible grimace with uneven teeth and leaking foul breath.

”No demon. Hungry!” Belzebuth corrected in an inhuman voice. It was low and sounded as if it was gargling water. A few drops of liquid flung out of its maw with the poorly formed words. In a not very confident movement it grabbed the mug from the man’s hand. This belonged to it now. With its other hand it pointed at Maggy, signaling its change in interests.
”No! Hungry!” Belzebuth said again, this time with an aggressive bite and a low growl. It was very hungry. The mug of mystery painful smelling water might help.

Belzebuth tipped its head back and swallowed the mugs contents in one gulp. This was a huge mistake. The mug was dropped and the beast shook its head around and smacked its tail into the ground with a furious roar.”GAARH, bad!” Who was responsible for this! Water should not hurt!

Maggy flinched when it pointed at him.
“Uhm- yes. Hungry.” Maggy stuttered. He opened his bag to look for any rations he had, but unfortunately he had nothing. Maggy turned to the bartender with a worried look. If the beast wasn’t a magical sea nymph like he had hoped, there was probably a chance that it would just eat one of the patrons if it got hungry. And Maggy desperately hoped that wasn’t him.

(Oml the chaos)(I'm going to do Adria and Wyatts response then I'm gonna be gone for the say. I'm graduating!!)

Tavita
Also believing things were about to get really chaotic she grabbed a bucket of water and brought it to the creature nervously while Adria stood anxiously. The old Sailor laughed at the creatures reaction to the alcohol and turned to the group left. By now it was just Winifreds group, Maggy, Pierre, Tavita, Wyatt, Adria and two others. Plus the creature and whoever was rummaging through Tavitas trash. She left the bucket to go investigate who's rummaging through her trash and making a mess. Adria was staring at the creature cautiously. Both her and Wyatt were more triggered by the creature than anyone though Wyatt didn't show it much. The sailor spun around and grabbed another drink that one of the customers had left. "Wanna hear a story!?" He grins almost manically as he wobbled around peering at everyone.

Darren seethes under his breath, being ignored chronically by that stupid bartender, but of course, the other two pay him no mind.
That soldier, also did not get the group’s attention. It takes more than that to gather them.

(*Places nonexistent card on nonexistent table* I play the “Right on cue” cliché card-)
(Also I’m very sorry if I make any mistakes, I haven’t gotten much sleep lately because my cat’s so loud and frequently meows right outside of my room at midnight, and in addition I suck at writing longer posts and am super nervous)
Felius enters the inn right as the sailor asks if people want to hear a story, but decides to not make his presence known for the time being. All of the people in the room are people he doesn’t recognize, and it’s best to draw as little attention as possible until he can confirm that they can all be trusted.
After looking around a little bit, he chooses to sit down away from everyone else, and simply observes the room in silence.
(My mind already thinks this is a terrible start but it’s the best I’ve got for now due to the lack of sleep and nervousness so hopefully it isn’t too bad for y’all and hopefully I didn’t make any mistakes)
