He likes to wear necklaces, loose and colorful summer clothing (even in winter), and funky high top shoes. Because his eyes are a bright gold, he wears brown colored contacts. He also has to constantly remind people that he [i]doesn't[/i] dye his hair red. Kohaku, however, is rather lucky that the only visible scales present on his body is a swath of bright red covering the entirety of his left thigh.[/color][/font][/size][/columns] [color=transparent].[/color] [size=5][font=courier new][b]Personality:[/b][/font][/size] [size=4][font=arial][color=grey]Kohaku loves life. He's lived long enough to appreciate the smaller moments, as well as the grand ones, and all the other ones left in between. Most often than not he's greeting people with a cheery laugh and bright grin, for he's a social butterfly at heart. He finds humans to be intriguing, and there are still moments where he's caught by surprise by the many wonders and actions that they can accomplish. Everything about humans and their culture fascinates him, and consequently, he enjoys taking part in as much as he can, knowing full well that some parts of their culture will eventually be forgotten and become lost to history. However, Kohaku is sometimes a little too carefree. As such, he can be flaky at times because he hates being constricted to a schedule of any kind (and so, it's almost impossible for him to keep a job with inflexible hours--doesn't stop him from trying though!). He's also quite impulsive, and despite having lived for countless generations, he still manages to land himself in rather sticky situations simply because he fails to think before he acts. Because of his impulses, he's terrible at managing his finances, and often finds himself in debt. But don't worry, he has enough tricks tucked up his sleeve to worm his way out of almost any problem![/color][/font][/size] [size=5][font=courier new][b]Biography:[/b][/font][/size] [size=4][font=arial][color=grey]Kohaku was just a kid when the Empress was assassinated and when the dragons were suddenly hunted to near extinction. His family was quick to delve into hiding, moving far from any kind of civilization and living off of the land. His mother and father were very kind and tried their hardest to raise him to the best of their limited ability. Tragically, however, they were slaughtered by a group of hunters and Kohaku was (illegally) sold into slavery. He was bought by a Russian Tsar and spent most of his childhood within the cold and frigid country. However, this is a part of Kohaku's past that he refuses to dwell on, let alone mention. After his escape from Russia, Tohaku travelled the world, refusing to return to Japan in fear of being killed. He rarely had to hide since there was little to no documentation of his existence, and this proved to be a nice breath of fresh air compared to the life of slavery he had once led. Eventually, as the world began to modernize, Tohaku cautiously returned to Japan. Other than a few vacations to his favorite countries, Kohaku has yet to permanently leave his home country. He finally feels at peace, and despite the threats of modern security, he's no longer as reluctant with civilization as he once was.[/color][/font][/size] [size=5][font=courier new][b]Other;[/b][/font][/size] [size=4][font=arial][color=grey][b]»[/b] Tokyo [b]»[/b] He has a few small tattoos scattered about his body. [b]»[/b] Tohaku is currently occupational-less and a bit broke, so he's taken to picking up a few odd jobs here and there and trying out new and unique hobbies. [b]»[/b] He speaks Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, and French. Although he's still fluent, he rarely speaks Russian due to his past experiences. [b]»[/b] Has tried all sorts of hobbies, but crochet is definitely his favorite since he can make cute stuffed animals. Jun prefers oversized baggy and comfortable clothing, rarely wearing any popular name brands other than Nike or Adidas. Instead, Jun is rather perceptive, often choosing to remain silent and observe the situation before taking any kind of action. He's not entirely humble, seeing as he takes great pride in his work, but he definitely despises drawing attention to himself... Which could be one of the reasons as to why he wears dark and 'bland' clothing. People are sometimes unnerved by his selective silence and ever watchful gaze, but that doesn't mean he's not approachable. Even though Jun is a bit of a recluse, he won't shy away from light conversation if prompted. He has quite a large mane that starts at his head and moves down his spine, waning off before reaching the end of his tail which is tufted. He has large horns that spiral and a thin, narrow snout with sharp teeth. His belly scales/horns appear to be an icy-like blue color and shimmer clear in the sunlight while the rest of his scales look clear like an icicle. His scales are harsh and rough and he has serrated talons that he uses to grip onto icy cliffs and ridges. When he doesn't bother with it, it is almost like a fringe that he clips back and out of his face. His eyes are an icy blue and he prefers comfort over style. He is usually seen with headphones and a mask on. He either has a hoodie or some form of loose jacket with jeans and sneakers or boots. He would rather have little to no skin showing since he has white, shiny scales starting from the nape of his neck down his spine that cover the top half of his shoulders and wrap around his back to converge with the scales down his spine. He puts on a kind façade and smiles his way out of conversations that he doesn't want to be in. He is annoyed quite easily but does his best to keep it all in check. He is surprisingly not a person that judges at first appearances, though. He tries to figure out the person before talking to them first, though, to make sure they aren't dangerous or going to hurt him in the future. He has a very hard time focusing on things and gets overwhelmed quite easily. If he has a bad day he tends to have an episode which leads to him breaking down (getting overwhelmed, frustrated with his inability to focus, and eventual exhaustion/sadness as it dies down) but he usually makes sure the people he is with know what is going on. He keeps it usually under control, though, so these bad episodes don't happen that often. He is very protective of his friends and very loyal but he is a little hard to get used to since he can be a bit fake and lies to save himself hurt. It takes a little long for him to trust but he is a fierce friend when you gain it. [b]Biography:[/b] He is the only son to two frost dragons. He was actually born in Korea and spent the first many years of his life there before he decided to move to Japan. Without his parents, he was lost at first but he figured it out eventually. He visits his parents once every year, a month each time, and usually brings them gifts from Japan. He teaches them about the newest technology when he can and tells them about his job at The Stormy Serpent. He didn't visit them for one year, though because he was underwater and struggling to keep up with his rent so leaving for a month didn't sound smart. His parents didn't reach out to him, though, and once he got on his feet again he flew out to see them. In the end, he couldn't find them anywhere. They weren't at their summer home and they weren't anywhere in their village from before. No one had seen them in months. Ever since then, Hyun-Ki has kept his eye out for his parents but did what he could to live his own life. He tried to not let it control him but he sends letters to his parents old address and they never get sent back (if they reached an empty house it would have gotten sent back) so he keeps his hopes up for them but not being able to see them truly wears on him sometimes.
