She chuckled "I noticed, you weren't asleep for very long"
Bubblen gently poked one of Able's feet, curious as to whether she was wearing shoes too. Shardlet facepalmed at the caudron.

"Yeah.." Gold nods, his eyes flicking to the ground. He shuffles uncomfortably, looking back up at Mire and offering a small sigh. "Bad dreams, is all. Just bad dreams."

Mire gave him a sideways look "Just bad dreams?"

"Well, not exactly," Gold says, seeming more uncomfortable by the second. "It's... more than just a dream. It's happened before, but not, all at once."

Shardlet hopped off Able and wandered over to Gold, proceeding to peer up at him curiously. Mire tilted her head "Well... If its a repeating dream, telling someone might help stop it" She shrugged "I used to have one, then Umbra persuaded me to tell someone. Oh, er, Umbra's my clan's leader, sort of." The Bogsneak paused, contemplating "Hm, can't remember who I told though... odd. Doesn't matter anyway" Bubblen poked Able's foot again, chittering to itself.

As Gold's gentle, strained gaze settled onto Shardlet for a moment, he pondered what Mire had said. Should he tell? Surely the dragons wouldn't think him crazy, right? Right? Not like his brother did. Somehow his mental health was the one thing Fade did not forget about across the resetting of timelines, the tens of years rewound at the whim of a teenaged child he saw as family. His brother was not nice about trying to help him.
Finally, he speaks.
"If I tell you.." He pauses, looking up to the dragon. "Promise you won't call me crazy?"

Able nodded, not completely listening. She was thinking about the ghosts in the outlands of her clan. Steelwar especially.

She folded her front feet over each other, gazing calmly at Gold "I won't" Perditus and Ukryty are preeeetty crazy, the shifter especially. Shardlet tilted their head, then nearly fell over, unbalanced by their horns. Bubblen scuttled back over to Mire, bored with poking Able.

Receiving an affirmative that he wouldn't be called crazy, Gold releases a sigh. A large one, both in relief and to ready himself. He casts another glance at Shardlet, cracking a grin at the creature's supposed clumsiness.
One more breath to prepare, and the Elf finally speaks. But, as he explains, he seems more and more upset, his words waver and he rambles, mental wounds that are ever-fresh quickly reopening.
"My world is...not really a nice one. I don't want to go t-too much into detail, but the last ten years of my world have rewound, over and over, each time terrible, terrible things happen. My f-friends and family are tortured and slaughtered and the only way to keep them safe is to trade me for them- A-And I'm the only one who remembers, my own b-brother thinks I'm insane, and-" He cuts off, already shaking. One of his hands neared his mouth, the other wrapped snug around his torso. Had his hands not been covered in the red fabric of gloves, he'd probably be biting them now. Tears well at his eyes.

Mire hummed quietly, eyes and attention on Gold, tail-tip flicking slightly. The rest of her body was still, her head now rested on her front feet. Shardlet sat down abruptly, also listening.
