(Daniel & Val, vents)

Daniel watched as Iathus walked to the opening. He on the other hand, had no intention of bringing Aler to the city. "Val and I will go by horse back." He called out to the other Rider.

"What?" The young Rider exclaimed. His reward was a smack on the back of the head.

"Horse back. This isn't?the glory days where you can land a dragon in the middle of town." He heard the boy grumble, but he was smart enough not to make his complaint audible.

Iathus shrugged his shoulders as he left the cave. He was fine with them taking horses if they wished but nothing was faster than a dragon. He approached Narei, who was eagerly waiting for him just outside the cave. He placed the saddle along her back before getting on. He could feel the power of her muscles as she stood up and prepared to fly. He nudged her over to where Daniel and Val were preparing to leave. Narei was a bit amused as the horses wined in nervous protest as she drew near. Iathus ignored it.
"I shall meet you at the main entrance to the town and we shall work our way through it. Don't keep me waiting too long." he said, directing this last part at Val. He turned then Narei rose into the air. using the low laying clouds as cover. He cared very little if anyone saw him. He knew that being so far remote from the main kingdom it would take any form of army way too long for them to arrive here, and if it was only a handful of people that saw him he would simple kill any witnesses.
With Narei's larger wingspan, they flew silently over the desolate forest below them. She spotted a clearing not too far from the town and made a quick landing. Iathus dismounted then patted Narei gently on her shoulders.
"That was far easier and faster than some inferior horse. Though I suppose one dragon is harder to spot than 3." he mused before leaving Narei in the clearing and heading for the main road. He stopped when he was just outside the first buildings and waited for his comrades to join him.
Narei remained where she was, knowing that if her master needed her he would call for her. She wondered if anything would come by close enough for her to eat as a snack while she waited.

Felix found the tavern with little trouble. It was surprisingly crowded inside and Felix felt a bit uneasy. He made his way over to a small table towards the back where it was less crowded. He could hear all kinds of people shouting, either talking about the rumors of the Cardinal Wings still at large or even worse and new sinister army of dragons were rising. Felix kept his ears peeled for anything that wasn't speculation but all the information going around seemed a bit far-fetched. After a long moment Felix couldn't ignore his hunger anymore and he braved the bar to order something to eat.

(Daniel & Val)

Daniel began walking to the stables after giving Iathus an update on travel. He was glad someone was bring a dragon. He knew Aler would want to stay and whip the younger dragons into shape. Once they got to the barn he got a young stallion ready to ride. He was a plain golden brown with white marks along his face. By the time he was mounted Val had saddled and walked outside with an older black mare. As they moved to the exit the horses began to get jumpy. That was all the sign they needed that Iathus was near. No sooner than he tough that, did Iathus and Narei walked in. Iathus called down to them and then pushed off into the air. "Well, you heard the man. Let's get going." They began the long ride to the village.

It was midday when the horses started panicking. Taking a hint they dragged the horses off the path and deeper in the woods. After a short while they found Narei laying in a clearing. Daniel tied the rains to a branch, and Val followed suite. Assuming they would be safe wth Narei, Daniel and Val began to walk the rest of the way to the village. After a while they found Iathus waiting by a building. "Hope you didn't wait long." Daniel called once they where closer. No one was around this part of the village so he wasn't to concerned about keeping his voice down. "Shall we go?"

(Angel)

Angel was cleaning a cup when Felix walked up to the bar. She had seen Felix around many times, though he was usually running away from someone much larger then himself. Everyone had told her stories about how he was a crock, but in all honesty she didn't care. He'd come in her before and he'd never skipped on a bill, so in her book he was OK. "What can I do you for?" She asked. There where a few other people at the bar, but they all had their drinks, so her services where no longer required.

Narei watched silently as they tied up their horses. She eyed them before thinking better of having them a snack and simply closed her eyes and continued to wait for her master to finish.
Iathus shook his head, pushing off from the wall he had been leaning up against. He straightened his tunic which hid his armor from view then walked beside Daniel.
"This side of the village is mostly homes......so it's pretty quiet." he frowned, hoping he could have gotten some intel from people talking while he had waited but only one or two souls had passed him. He sighed to himself as they walked.
"So, where's this new recruit?" he asked, knowing Daniel and the only means of tracking them at the moment. As they got closer to the town center, more and more people were about on the streets. Iathus simply ignored them and they kept their distance from his little group.

Felix gave the waitress a sheepish smile as she addressed him. He had seen her a few times here and always thought she gave good service, at least she treated him nicer than the other people did. He ignored the people around the bar and kept his attention on the girl.
"I don't really know......" he said trailing off as he did a sideways glance at the people next to him. After a short pause he sighed to himself.
"I'll just have a bowl of whatever stew you've got today." he finally said, jingling the small coins in his pocket. By the weight he could feel, he didn't really have enough for anything else. While he was making his order, a smaller fellow came into the tavern, finding his friends sitting against the bar. The man walked up and commented that some strangers had walked into the bar. He speculated that one of them might be an ex-knight from the way he looked. Being a secluded town due to the mountains, travelers were a bit scarce. Felix frowned as he listened. He hadn't been in this town long himself but the people here were nice enough....he guessed.

(Daniel)
He had removed the vile from his neck during their walk, so it was easier to get to. It had a small glimmer of violet in the near the middle. "He must be feather into town." Daniel reconciled the bottle of liquid. "If we walk though town we should find the new one. Well just act like we're prepping for a long travel. That will have us walking into just about every store to find what we are looking for Who knows, we could get lucky." Daniel began walking down the path his vial ready if he needed to check someone.

(Val)
Val rolled his eyes when his master began walking off again. It was bad enough they had to take horses in the first place, then he had them walking a few miles to get to town. Now they had to wonder though some dankly old town that isn't even important enough to be on the map, for what again. Some random person who may or may not help them. And if he turned on them it would be worse because they would actually have to kill him. Hopefully the law enforcement in this town was bad. Val didn't feel like doing much work today, or any day if he could help it.

(Angel)
"Sure thing." She said as she set down the bowl she was cleaning. She got a new one and walked over to the pot. Her dad had caught a few rabbits earlier that morning, so today, and most likely the next few days, rabbit stew was the special of the day. She reached into the broth with a ladle, and spooned it out into a bowl. Angel made sure to scrape the bottom to get as much meat as she could. She then reached over and grabbed a roll. She and the baker next door had come to an agreement. She got everything that didn't sell from the day prior, and he got all his meals free. Other than bread, that sweet old man couldn't cook to save his life. His wife had passed away three years prior, so in order to make ends meet he and her father had worked out this arrangement. She placed the soup, and bread in front of him. She gave him a smile and informed him, "That will be 5 copper. Just pay before you leave, and if you need anything else just yell." Her task done she noticed the knights that had just walked in. 'Great, looks like they are slacking off early.' She grumbled to herself. It was then she noticed what they where saying. Apparently a few new comers had wondered into town. She understood what the uproar was about. Visitors where as rare as gold in this town because of how remote it was.

(Eric)
Finally, after half a day's hike, Eric had finally made it to the town square. For a small town, it had far too many twists, and turns, and dead ends. The inn didn't look like much. Mind you, it was using the whole building, but over than that you would walk right by it if you weren't looking. When he entered, most of the cheater in the tavern like room stopped cold. Feeling uncomfortable, Eric took a seat at a table in the corner. An older woman came by and asked him if he needed anything. "A glass of water would be fine." He replayed. He didn't have much in the way of money, but he could afford a room for the night if he needed to. Once she was gone Eric when to scratch an itch on his shoulder. By the time he realized his vile was coming loose it was to late. He barely kept it from shuddering on the cobble wood floor. He pulled it out and then froze in shock. In this light the vile was black as soot. 'Gabriel!' He reached out for his dragon.

'Yes?/i]' A rather annoyed voice answered.

'Keep your seances sharp. And if you find another Wing let them know I've found a rider.'

(Gabriel)
The red dragon grumbled at the news. Don't get me wrong he was happy about the rider, just not about being woken up. He extended his seances to find a wing so he could go back to sleep. He found someone who he knew for a fact was on their side. 'Varos.' He called to get his attention. The dragon was a ways off and would have most likely missed the town had Eric not had him yelling at the top of his lungs. Rater than explain he just sent images of the town from the air, of the inn, and of the vile. He had gotten the last two when Eric had called to him. With that done, the lazy dragon went back to sleep.

Iathus only paused briefly in between shops. He kept his mind focused as they scoured the streets for this potential. Every so often though he would sneak glances at Val, silently evaluating him as they continued on their mission. The young initiative seemed lacking in the determination and hard-working department. He mentally shook his head at the thought. They needed strong and able warriors, not kids who shied away from a little work.
Iathus also kept his ears open for any whispers around the town. He was disappointed that most of what he heard was about him and his group. As they reached a general store, Iathus paused to look at the wares, hoping to take the attention off him and make it look like he was indeed shopping for supplies.

Felix looked down at the bowl and his stomach growled in anticipation. Felix could feel the embarrassment in his cheeks as he picked up his spoon and began eating.
"Thank you." he said while he ate, then pulled out the rest of his coins on the counter. It was a little more than the soup but he figured she deserved the tip. When he was down with his soup he decided to hang around for a little bit, wanting to hear more about the whispers of the strangers.

Iva yawned as they drifted high in the sky, they weren't traveling very fast so the dull scenery before her was making her sleepy. She felt Varos tip his wings and now they were heading towards the distant mountain range. She leaned closer to his bronze back, placing her had closer to his as they picked up speed.
'Varos?' she asked him, letting her mind carry her words. Varos didn't look back at her but she was pleased when she heard his voice.
'Gabriel called out to me, sending me images of a town a bit far from here......something's up.' he responded as they soared. He cut through the wind effortlessly, feeling very at ease up in the air. By his calculations he should be there in good time. Iva seemed content with this and she simply waited for them to arrive. Eric must have found a remote village or something.

Nyx
Nyx felt a little weary as she walked down the street in a village. Her dragon Hera was back at their home, a large cave in the mountains that was located in a reclusive spot. The reason she was here right now? Earlier in the day, when Nyx and Hera were flying above the village, the vial of dragon tears that every member of the Cardinal Wings received turned black and gave off a violet glow, which let her know that a potential Rider was nearby. She had Hera set her down just outside the village and sent the dragon back home; she would call her when she needed her. Nyx was certain that the new Rider was in this village... or was it more than one? Then she immediately scolded herself; asking for more than one Rider to be in the same exact spot was just wishful thinking.

She knew that she needed to let another Wing know about this. If she knew, then chances were that the other Wings knew as well... and possibly members of The Fallen. Possibly. She didn't want to take any risks by taking this slow. Nyx stopped when she came upon an inn that she would've passed by if she wasn't paying too much attention to her surroundings. She decided to walk inside and didn't show any signs of discomfort when only a few whispers now filled the room. She wasn't about to show any weakness in front of these people who did nothing but speculate and spread rumors. She scanned the room and felt relieved when she spotted a fellow wing, Eric, sitting at a table in the corner. A small smile lit her face as she casually made his way to him.

"Eric," she greeted, not sitting down just yet. She held up her vial which was still glowing a dull violet color. "I suppose you know what's going on?"

Hera
Hera yawned as she paced the cave that she and Nyx called home. Half an hour ago, they both discovered that a new Rider was in the town they were flying over, and Hera had dropped Nyx off just outside of town. Hera herself was told to head back home and wait for further instructions. The dragon started to wonder who the new Rider was going to be. Maybe there would be more than one... Hera laughed out loud. That was just too wishful to think about. More than one Rider in the same place? How convenient. She was starting to get bored, so she decided to have a meal. She dragged an animal corpse to the center of the cave and began eating slowly, glancing at the entrance every once and awhile.

Callum
Callum exited his house and turned around to close the door. He had gotten ready for the day just a while ago, including taking his wallet and dagger with him. He wasn't sure why he had grabbed the wallet, but he definitely knew why he grabbed his dagger. He didn't like to think about the "special" incident that was the last straw for his sister Thalia, so he didn't keep that thought in his head for too long. He convinced himself that he was just going to walk around and then come home before Thalia finished with work. He wasn't going to do anything else; he was just going to walk around.

As he passed by the general store, he noticed some people around who caught his eye. There was a man who looked around forty years old wearing chain mail armor (Iathus). Okay... then he saw a younger, more scrawny man with black hair (Val). Alright... then he saw a taller man with brown hair and wearing tattered cloths (Daniel). Well... why did those people stick out to him? No matter, he thought. He chose to stop staring and ignore them as he passed them. He soon came upon a tavern, and wondered if he should enter it. Going with a last minute decision, he walked in and found it to be crowded and full of people talking to each other about rumors and speculation mainly concerning The Fallen and the Cardinal Wings. He was honestly sick of hearing about the two groups; he just wanted one day where he didn't have to hear about it. But nope!

He sighed and sat down at a table in the back where it was less crowded. He saw the knights come in just as he sat down, and they were saying something about visitors. That was odd.. there were rarely any visitors here, since this was a remote town after all. He didn't move, instead choosing to listen for anything important that he may need to know. In fact... he began thinking about those three men he saw before coming to the tavern. He had never seen them around before... granted, he didn't come outside that often, especially during the day, but it was still something to think about.

Connor
Connor cursed as he woke up. He probably slept late again! He was resting against his dragon, Salem, who was already awake and gazing down at him. Why didn't you wake me up? he sent to Salem, irritated. The dragon shrugged in response and stood, causing Connor to fall backwards unexpectedly. Connor immediately pushed himself off the ground and walked through the inactive volcanic vents to the big chamber where everyone else usually hung out. Salem followed, almost immediately heading over to the bigger cave where other dragons hung out, probably conversing with the other dragons who were hanging out there. He didn't see Iathus, Val, or Daniel, so he assumed that they were on a mission or something. However, he did see his only real friend, Umna, over near her dragon, Inufir, and walked over to her with a smile. "Oh... I see you're up late again?" Umna said, smirking.

"You could say that," Connor responded. "Salem didn't wake me up, and he was awake for longer, just watching me!" Umna laughed after he said that. "Oh my~!" she sang. "That Salem... he's always cracking me up. Anyways..." She suddenly seemed excited about something, yet serious at the same time. "I'm guessing you didn't hear the news, but Iathus, Daniel and Val are searching for the new Rider in a nearby village!" Connor paused. A new Rider? "Really?" he replied, raising an eyebrow. "Do you guys know who it is?"

"No, not yet. But we're hoping to find them soon enough," Umna responded. "Though... it would be amazing if there was more than one in the same town... nah. That's just wishful thinking. Right Inufir?" The purple dragon nodded quickly. "Yeah, because, there is no way there would happen to be more than one Rider in the same place." Connor laughed, agreeing with Umna. He was lucky to be a Rider; that made him stronger than his cursed younger brother, Callum. Just thinking about his brother made him want to split something in half. "Well, is it too late to join them?" Connor asked. Umna paused before responded: "Well, maybe. I'm not too sure, but I'm fairly certain that you'll only interfere with the mission if you suddenly join them out of the blue." Connor nodded in understanding before sighing with annoyance. "Oh... then what is there to do around here? I'm kind of bored, you know?" "Yeah, I'm sure you are," Umna mused, twirling a strand of her dark brown hair.

(Eric)

Eric looked up as he was approached. He was surprised to see Nyx sit down next to him. He'd met her a few times but she was usually talking to his mentor, not him. "Yes." He said in response. "I also told Gabriel, who told Varos." He wasn't too concerned about using names out loud. No one would be guess he was taking about dragons. "I'm waiting for reinforcements before I go looking for him." This part he wasn't about to risk saying out loud to Nyx. It would sound incrimination. So a mental message would have to do.

(Daniel)

Daniel was walking though the market trying to look as though what was there held his interest. Every now and then, when he felt no one was looking, he would check the vile. When they approached a busy center of the town Daniel noticed something he hadn't before. There was anther color that had before been hidden under the darker purple (The color is a representation of the color of the dragon the potential has been chosen by, so Soul can pick it.). He walked up to Iathus and flashed the bottle just long enough for him to see the change. Then he walked off. After they where away from the shop he said, "Looks like we got lucky. There around her somewhere. We should spread out and start tapping." Tapping was just the act of reaching your mind out to another, but not reading, attacking, or speaking to it. Riders even potential ones can tell, and will react to usually by looking around. To normal people, well they wouldn't even know.

(Val)

((Val is a relatively new rider, so he doesn't recognize any member of the Cardinal Wing, and is not recognizable by them.))
"Great." Val piped up. "I'll check the inn." He had been eyeing it building since they got to this side of town. The smell of food filled the streets, and he hadn't eaten breakfast. He had three silver so he knew he could afford it. As he walked he he started working. He tapped the younger one's first. There where a few kids, but they didn't give a reaction. He moved on to the boy in the back. He admitted he was shocked to see him stiffen. '1' Val thought happily. He started looking for the second, who knew he might get lucky. As he walked up to the bar he tapped a boy eating soup. No reaction. What was he exception relay. Just for giggled he tapped the girl behind the bar. She stiffed as she walked over to him. '2!' Val cheered at his silent victory. "Iathus, Daniel! I found two. In the bar." he sent a metal image of the two towered his comrades.

(Angel)

A new customer had walked in and she had been about to take his order when a strange feeling washed over her. The best description would be the old saying "like someone just walked over your grave." She got over it quickly enough. "How can I help you?" She asked.

"The house special." He placed down three coins. "Keep the change." With that he walked off to a table in the back. 'What a strange kid' She Angel though

(Aler)

Aler stood in front of a battered Elura. The beautiful white dragon was covered in fresh scratch from his training. However she had actually bitten him today, and for Elura that was something to mark on your calendar. He stopped mid-sentence when Salem walked in. "Finally decided to join us?" Aler hissed into the black and red dragons head. The black and red dragon barley came up to Aler's shoulders. Realizing that Salem's presence ment Conner was up he reached his sences out to hear the conversation between Conner and Umna. "Oh... then what is there to do around here? I'm kind of bored, you know?"

Once he heard that he realized that without a senior rider around those two would just wast the day. "Well, You could try training for the war that we are fighting!" Aler bellowed in their heads. As he said each word he voice when from that of someone calm and collective to a scream that, even though it wasn't an actual sound, would have left them deaf.

Iathus was tapping the minds of some of the people walking around the town square. He was quite surprised when Val sent out a message to them, saying that he found two potentials at the bar. He sent a response. 'I'm on my way.' He turned on his heel, ending for the large building that served as the tavern and inn. More and more people were walking in and out of the building as the morning continued. Iathus made his way in between the crowd and stopped at the door. Through his years of training and fighting, his senses stopped him from entering the tavern. Something didn't quite feel right. He stepped off to the side, uneasy. 'Keep your eyes out, something feels off about this place.' He said to Val and Daniel, giving them the warning. He didn't want to ruin this chance so he remained outside.

Felix finished his soup, feeling a bit better now that he had something in his stomach. He felt a weird chill as someone else entered the bar and ordered some food. Avoiding this new guy, Felix placed his bowl in front of Angel who was still attending to some customers.
"Thanks again." he said giving her a smile before turning to leave the building. He didn't know what was going on but these strangers didn't seem quite right. He shoved his hands in his pockets, feeling like he needed to keep a hand on his valuables before he left the tavern. As he walked, the feeling of unease lingered. What was up with him today? He passed a gentleman who had his concentration on a little girl at his side and Felix took this opportunity to help himself to the pouch at the man's belt. The pick-pocket made him feel a bit better as it was familiar to him.

Iva was now approaching the town that Gabriel had called out to them. Varos kept an even pace as they drifted through the clouds. Though it was cold up so high in the air Iva didn't pay any mind to it, her mind already focused on the task at hand. She reached out in her mind, pinpointing where Eric was. It was fairly easy since they had worked together for a while now.
'Eric, I'm flying over the town now.' she told him as she searched for a place to land. Clearly she couldn't have Varos land where someone could see them but with the forest so close to the town it was a risky move. Deciding better of it she sent out another message to Eric.
'The forest is scarce, I might just stay in the air unless you need me.' She advised. Varos seemed perfectly content gliding in the currents above the clouds, being a wind based dragon he spent more time in the air than he did on the ground.

(Daniel)

Daniel hurried down the cobble Stone streets. When Val said he was going to investigate a tavern Daniel had known exactly what he was doing. After all he had been complaining about skipping breakfast all morning. So it had taken the older Rider by surprise that he'd actually been working. He was about to walk into the inn when he saw Iathus just standing outside. "What's? going on,? he asked.

(Eric)
Eric listened? to Iva. He sent an air of understanding, but no words.
