Nilumbra watched the entire event with a mixture of interest and confusion.

Firstly, there was some guy.. wearing a dress.. which was weird.. and he was carrying a Glameow.. not her favorite pokemon in the slightest. Not since her grandmother's Glameow had tried to kill her on multiple occasions, the evil little freak. Not to mention she personally thought Glameow was hideous.

And then the other girl... clutching a Snorunt, looking confused.. or just overwhelmed by the entire situation. Nilumbra could have been wrong about this, she'd never been the best at telling the emotions of others.

Nilumbra gazed over towards her pokemon, the Kabutops was studying the event as well, readying herself for a battle should their be one... considering the tone of the boy.. the girl with the Quilava and the dress boy might end up battling.

"Fire types tend to be kind of unpredictable.. and generally can be a handful." She commented, trying to possibly diffuse the possible anger the dress boy might have. There were multiple actual reasons why Nilumbra didn't have a fire type... mainly being that her mother had always been afraid she might burn the house down. Jokes on her when Nilumbra taught Monstro Flamethrower. Though the gentle creature didn't seem to like using it unless they were battling.. which was no fun for trying to mess with her mom.

Frankie almost started to reach down and help the trainer in the sundress out, but when they asserted that they were fine she let them deal with it on their own. She'd hate to make them feel uncomfortable or fussed over, so she stepped back to give them more space.

Diverting her attention to the quilava, she almost laughed at it's antics. She herself had never been terribly fond of fire-types, but this one might be the exception. However, Brynn though otherwise. The snorunt shivered even more, her body temperature plummeting. The air temperature around the teens dropped as well. Suddenly, it was Frankie with the Pokemon causing a scene.

"Oh, Bri-Bri, it's okay!" The girl cooed softly, bouncing the snow hat Pokemon gently in attempt to calm her down. Thankfully, she was wearing a cardigan so the cold hardly bothered her, but she couldn't be sure of the other trainers. "See? That big ol' fire-type isn't here anymore, so you don't have to worry!"

At first, the snorunt seemed hardly convinced but once she turned her head and didn't see the quilava anywhere, she stopped shivering. The air stayed chilly, but at least it didn't drop any further.

Frankie smiled sheepishly at the other trainers. "Sorry about that, she's not that used to fire-types... Your quilava is real cute though!"

((whoa, sorry about the inactivity))

Talia hurried to the side of the boat, wind billowing in her hair as her Furfrou, Cotton, not far behind her. "Look! You can see the islands!" she exclaimed. "Isn't that cool, girl?" she asked. The fluffy dog Pokémon barked excitedly.

A couple colorful bird Pokémon flew overhead, causing Cotton to jump and Talia petted her affectionately. "Ooh, what are those?" Talia fished her Alolan guide out of her bag, flipping through the pages. She had gotten it as a farewell gift from her mother.

"Bird Pokémon... bird Pokémon... Oh! Those Pokémon must have been Toucannon! Isn't that cool?" Cotton whimpered, obviously not happy with this new Pokémon.

Talia laughed. "Oh, you little scaredy-dog," she chuckled, taking her brush out and smoothing the Pokémon's fur. "Don't ruin your brand-new cut. We have to look presentable when we arrive!"

A voice sounded on the microphone. "Arriving at Hau'oli City in approximately ten minutes. Repeat, arriving in Hau'oli in ten minutes."

Talia smiled. "We're almost there!"
