Planet: 35 Venator C (second planet from the 35th star of constellation Venator), aka Adrara Terraria, Adara, AT, etc.
System: Adrara System of the Venator constellation
Land: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Lifeforms: Detected, but unseen.
Description: There seems to be every conceivable biome on the planet. The region that the ship landed on is barren and grassy, there aren’t trees for miles but the smell of rain is in the air. The atmosphere is similar to that of the home planet, but you can tell with the first step that this planet isn’t home; the gravity is just enough higher that it makes each step a little harder than on you’re used to. You were sent to this planet for a reason, to study it, to befriend any potential native intelligent species, to inhabit it. This planet specifically was chosen because it had similar structure and composition to the home planet, spare any significant signs of life. The potential for life is here in any biome that could possibly sustain it, and so even if it is nothing more than an empty landscape awaiting cultivation, there is much to study and learn. What awaits you beyond the safe perimeter of the ship that you landed in? Will you survive?

This is a sci-fi fantasy rp that will follow 10 young royals as they quest to conquer a new planet and call it home. This world will hold new challenges as the gravity is slightly different, as are all of the species of plants and animals!
Your characters are the only remaining centuars after the destruction of your planet, and the 10 of you must find a way to live harmoniously and keep your race alive! The world building can and will be done together, as everyone will be representing a different species and a different line of royalty, meaning they can all have different customs. Romance is allowed and even encouraged, however don’t let that be the driving force for your character interactions! If that becomes the case the mods might throw in curve balls to keep everyone on their toes!

1. No God modding. It isn’t fun for anyone. If you talk to other players and have permission to write/speak for their characters say so in the OOC chat so that you aren’t reprimanded.
2. No mary-sues/gary-stus. They aren’t fun for the rp.
3. Keep it PG 13. Cussing is allowed but censor yourself. This is a site where children can play and we don’t want to put anything in here that would be wrong for them to see! If necessary you may fade to black or continue rping on a different site to keep this thread pg 13.
4. This rp will be semi-lit, at least 5 sentences per post. This doesn’t mean you can’t write more, but please don’t do one-two line replies. Give us something to work with.
5. Your characters have to be centaurs, and their height will be solely dependant on how tall their 4-legged species is. I.e. a wolf centaur would be ~3’5”-4’ at the animal shoulder (slightly taller than the average wolf) whereas a reindeer centaur can be anywhere from ~5’6”-6’ at the animal shoulder.
6. This rp will have a post order. The first post will determine the order for the rest of the rp. After two days the person will be skipped and we will move on to the next person in the line to keep the rp moving.
7. You can come up with your own lore for your species! It’s encouraged to do some worldbuilding with your species of centaur, a quick run by for Yang and I will be enough for us to post it in the Lore spot and then it will be official!
8. @DragonofYang will be co-modding this rp with me, so ping them in your character sheets and any questions you may have.
9. Yang and I have the right to deny any character, or ask that it be tweaked if we feel it does not fit into the world we have created or it is too OP.

Lore
1. Canis Kingdom: Religion: The Canis are a rather technological race, putting more faith in their technology than any faith they used to have. They believe that everything that happens can be explained with science and simple common sense, however they do believe in a great creator who had to have been around to create the universe and all the universes within it and all the universes within those. They believe in the great creator, a theme that seems to be sprinkled throughout most species lore. The Canis kingdom, however, only believe in the creator in a theoretical sense. They believe that from what the creator made is what they will go back to. They don’t necessarily believe that each soul will be reincarnated, however they believe that when they die their bodies break down and return to the building blocks of the universe and go back to the universe to be used to make more stars or planets or bring life to ones that exist.
There are sects of the Canis people who believe in giving the creator more faith, actually choosing to follow and worship the creator as a god, however they are often seen as more primitive and often use less technology, making them looked down on by the general population.

Class: Though the people are a rather advanced, the class system hasn’t changed much. The royals are still revered and stayed in their place and palace due to their bloodlines rather than being elected in. The Common people believe that there’s no reason to change the way things are, they have enough to live comfortably and they believe that the royal family is keeping them safe and keeping their city thriving. There have been stressors recently due to some miscommunications with some of their distant traders, however the royal family has assured the people of the kingdom that they would fix their problems and restore the kingdom to its glory.
Though the different breeds of the Canis people can interbreed, it is looked down upon as it is seen as dirtying one’s bloodline. Mutts, the offspring of two different breeds of Canis people, are seen as the lowest form of Canis life, however they are still revered as creations of the great creator, and therefore kept alive and allowed to live, though their quality of life isn’t near as high as a pureblood.

Fighting: The Canis people don’t enjoy fighting, they prefer to use their technology and diplomatic measures before deploying their military forces. The military breeds are those that have proven themselves to be the best for such occasions as detecting bombs, tracking killers or traitors, and being the easiest to simply intimidate them. The military is made of generally German Shepherd, Bloodhounds, Presa Canarios, Mastiffs, and whatever Leonbergers and Tibetan Mastiffs had chosen to bear the warmer climate of the Canis Capital City. The Warriors are taught hand to hand battle as well as getting modifications to their human and canine bodies to sharpen their teeth and claws into weapons if they ever need them. They are put through years of rigorous training and taught generalized fighting before they are specialized based on their traits and specialized abilities. The royal guards are primarily made up of Presa and Leonberger guards, though since the longer haired breeds fled to colder climates their slots have slowly been filled with mastiffs. They are taller than the royals and therefore can be easy shields for any of the royals who may be targeted by anyone. If the Canis people are forced to fight they use hard light weapons and traps, though those are reserved for those enemies who are too large to subdue without tricks or traps. The hard light weapons can be used to make shields and weapons out of seemingly nothing. They can create things such as knives and blunt objects with which they can hit or be used by their owners. The Canis people are not afraid to play dirty if they have something to lose, however they pride themselves on trying to take the higher ground before resorting to such tactics.
2. Reolin Kingdom: Fighting
Tarandaurs rarely use heat-generating weapons due to their tendency to fail in the deep of winter, but are extremely proficient with more "primitive" weaponry, leading their armies to be esoteric ghosts in the snow, bound by honor and traditions unknown to those who don't live in the snowy north.

Religion
Culturally, tarandaurs place their faith in faceless gods of nature, snow, ice, wind, day, and night, as well as that of their ancestors. Burnt offerings to one's ancestors and the deities at the time of prayer are traditional, particularly when it comes to crops, travel, trade, and ritual combat. Disputes between herds or those concerning rank within herds are generally solved through trial by antler after seeking a blessing from the ancestors. Two antlered tarandaurs grapple, whether on behalf of themselves or for someone without antlers, and whoever is victorious can set the terms of their desires of the loser, albeit it is generally considered poor form to take complete advantage of this.

Culture
Tarandaurs also take great pride in their hospitality, even servants of guests typically had finely crafted beds with large fireplaces to keep their quarters warm at night. That being said, they also had many rules concerning etiquette. In the halls, none but guards were allowed to retain their weapons upon entry and those who were found with weapons outside of active duty or during times of war would find their weapons confiscated and a warning would spread throughout the herd. Similarly, those who spoke ill of tarandan leaders while accepting their hospitality would generally find themselves with that herd ambivalent at best or hostile at worst. Not even warring herds would breach etiquette when accepting hospitality from an enemy. Insults to elder tarandaurs or to ancestors were generally met with outright combat as well. As a result, tarandaurs can seem like either the absolute best hosts or the worst ones, and generally make for good guests.

While Signy has her eyebrow pierced, that generally gets taken out before she goes on a trek through the snow. Vlopuk is too cold most of the year for tarandaurs to wear metal jewelry outside the halls, and so generally metal jewelry is rarely without a leather layer beneath it to protect its wearer from frostbite. Even metal buckles and fastenings sometimes have to be replaced with intricate knotwork and leather to keep hypothermia away, which leads to unusual designs being patterned onto leather and intricate leather jewelry being fashioned with these knots. Signy herself wears many leather bracelets under her coat or around her legs that were gifted to her by herdmates.
3. Uncia Kingdom:
4. Urs Kingdom: Religion:
The Ursitaurs' religion is polytheistic, consisting of many gods and goddesses that represent different aspects of the natural world as well as ideas. Arguably the most important is the celestial goddess, Mnirest. She is said to have created the entire universe. Although she is formless, they believe that she is always present around them. This has lead some Ursitaur to believe that the other gods and goddesses worshiped by other species are just Mnirest taking on or being interpreted in different forms. After creating such a beautiful universe, the goddess began to feel lonely and bored. She had created something beautiful, but it was empty. So, she sought to remedy this by creating four beings to help give life to the universe. The first were Garik, the god of land, and Yrina, the goddess of the goddess of the sky. The two were said to be lovers and would form worlds through their union. However, planets were not the only things formed from the union of the two gods. Garik and Jrina had four children; Krin, the god of oceans, rivers, and lakes, Mrin, the goddess of the harvest, Srin, the god of rain, and Drin, the goddess of seasons. With places suitable for life now created, Mnirest created Fryna who would serve as the goddess of the cycle of life and death. She is both one that grants life as well as takes it, all for the sake of keeping balance. Fryna is the one to have created the souls of all living things and give them bodies to inhabit in the new worlds that were created. But, when their bodies perished, it became apparent that there needed to be a place for those souls to go. Being incredibly kind and loving all of those she had created, Fryna used a vast amount of her power to create a home for those souls to live out their eternity in happiness called Prynursal. However, she could never leave that place and was separated from the other gods but being with the children she had created suited her well enough. She is said to greet the souls of those who have died at the gates of paradise. The Ursitaurs often affectionately refer to her as the Great Mother. Without any guidance, the people that lived in this world began to live in chaos, stealing and killing each other. Seeing the need to solve this matter, Enmir, the god of honor, was created by Mnirest to ensure that these people would live with honor. Enmir is said to be a very strict man, dictating codes of honor and morality that should be followed or else you will be disgraced and lose your place in Prynursal, dooming your soul to be forever lost in the void. Enmir took the goddess Mrin as his wife and together they had three children, Svanyn the goddess of the hunt, Vignr the god of war, and Grenkl the god of the forge. All added their unique domains to the inhabitants of the worlds at their parents request, resulting in important factors to inhabitants' cultures and lives. The Ursitaurs will pray to different gods depending on the situation. However, Mnirest, Enmir, and Fryna are often the most revered over all. The Ursitaurs' stories of their religion were once only passed down orally and most still follow this tradition, but you will also find those with books containing the tales of their gods.
5. Aries Kingdom: The Aries kingdom is centered in the mountains, the thick coats of their people suited to the cold climate. They are not focused on conquest or war; instead their wealth comes from trading. Most Ovis Aries are merchants or farmers, living a typically peaceful life in the snowy summits. Specifically, most of the population is concentrated in the Glacies Peaks.

They worship one deity: Virtae. She is the goddess of life, death, and the controller of the natural processes of the Earth. She created the Ovis people as her children, and carved the Glacies Peaks as their home. Every spring, a festival takes place to honor and celebrate Virtae.
6. Tauris Kingdom: History: Original a great number of nomad tribes living in the plains of the Doltor river delta. After a major drought many wars over resources began until Bosan Vieher the "Great Uniter" brought all tribes together by a number of wars and diplomatic marriages. After the unification a major period of growth began and tauris became a civilization.
During it's early medieval age where they met another race of people called the Yakar. After a few years of wary coexistence a bloody religious war began which resulted in the destruction of the entire Yakar empire. But the aftermath of the war was also devastating on the Tauris as the death and destruction brought forth a major revolution which deposed the Vieher dynasty and gave rise to the Bovir family under Hauwr Bovir I The Bovirs were a family descended from merchants and reformed the land and the political system and brought it into a more industrialized age. The Bovirs would stay the ruling family, even if they were once overthrown by a militant regime.

Political:
The country is a constitutional monarchy, with a king controlling the army, having a veto right to all decisions of the parliament and the court and having a say in many aspects. Succession is still male heirs first although there have been tries to change this. The parliament is made up out representatives of the different ranges of the country. A range is something akin to a federal state. Representatives are voted via democratic elections and stv.

Social:
Tauris society values stability, quality of life and progress. While that might seem like an oxymoron at first it is more understandable when seen through tauris philosophy. For them their time and people are like a stream. Strong, stable but also always changing it course little by little over time until it flows elsewhere. Patience is a good word for it. Tauri a willing to do things one at a time and think that even the most menial of tasks can have major reactions over time. Thus generations and family is seen as very different. The feeling of belonging to a family and a certain tribe is incredibly strong in this civilization.
Next to traditional family values, prosperity and success in not only business and family but also in more physical aspects is seen as good. Those who do nothing and waste time are seen as "meandering" and acting like a "dam" and limiting ones own and the societies true potential. Death means to pass on and become one with first ones ancestors in the Nereshal and where ones position will be measured on ones life and his deeds.

Religious:
A major component of Tauris religion is Nereshal the great spirit that flows and fills all beings. Nereshal in a genderless bodyless being that gives thoughts and souls. In their eyes life was created when the physical world Herdan collided with Nereshal and they began to flow into each other. Not only life was created but also many other spirits who began to embody natural phenomenon such as light, fire, lightning, etc. That is also why death exists. Nereshal leaves the physical body and moves until maybe one day it collides with the physical realm again.
Only the minor spirits and Nereshal are revered as gods because Herdan is seen as a not conscious entity. Tauri hope that through prayer, sacrifice and meditation they might either appease a minor spirit, ask for protection or try to glimpse into life's greater mysteries.
7. Peritome Kingdom:
8. RedMoon Lore: The Sun Tribe
Made of diurnal-adapted people with red or tawny fur (more like cougars than panthers). They worship the sun god, who's name is forbidden and never taught in the Moon Tribe. They're a coastal tribe who depend mostly on the fish and fruits they created to provide for the nutrients they needed. They created spiraling cities entirely solar powered. Focus their studies on genes and causing evolution to quickly happen. Neighbors to the Moon Tribe,
The Moon Tribe
Made of nocturnaly adapted people with black fur. They worship the night, and mark each season with a feast. Most of their technology is also solar powered, charging while the rest of them are usually asleep, but they have also built a damn and have hydroelectric power generated from there. Last names are for the phase of the moon they were born under, and royalty are marked by gold ring piercings through their left ear.
They feed off of the animal herds they've corralled and off the fruits they stole from the Sun Tribe and modified to grow during the night. Focus their studies on StarWatching, which is finding solar systems that could sustain life, and PlanetForming, which is how to colonize and even terraform the land of new planets.
9. Varanus Lore: Religion:
Gods:
The Varanus People worship two gods who are said to work in harmony. The first is Yrthor, the dragon god of strength and the hunt. The Varani believe that they are descendants of the dragon people Yrthor created in his image. They also believe that Yrthor keeps track of the kill count, and values it as a measure of strength along with an individual's success in combat at the 12 feasts. The second of the Varani gods is Tenurith, the humanoid goddess of discipline and isolation and master of Yrthor. Tenurith governs the Varani's extensive training and studies during their extended periods of isolation throughout the year. The relationship between Yrthor and Tenurith symbolizes the Varani concept that strength is disgraceful and unruly without wisdom and discipline to control it. Though Tenurith is considered Yrthor's master, the Verani revere Yrthor far more because he is the guardian of paradise, and thus decides if one will be eternally punished or rewarded for their actions in life.

Afterlife:
The Varani belief about the afterlife is that paradise is simply an endless, dense jungle brimming with prey and a home for each Varanus allowed to enter paradise. They believe that Yrthor determines if a Varanus may enter through a trial by combat, and those who fail enter their hell through the portal of Yrthor's maw. After entry into paradise, the Varani believe that Tenurith decides if one is to be predator or prey through a series of tests of discipline and wisdom. Those who fail are not allowed weapons and doomed to be hunted for eternity by those who passed Tenurith's trial.

There were no shortcomings in her life, they never wanted for anything, however Aasis had never been outside the small palace she called home. On her first adventure out, when she was too young and small to be noticed by the guards, she saw just how bad the citizens outside her bubble had it. She befriended a few shopkeepers and tried to talk to her parents about helping the town, and how they could better the lives of everyone. She was laughed off as a child, uneducated in the ways of politics and such, and dismissed. Aasis continued her ventures to the outside world, learning skills from her newfound friends like baking and some metalworking, while still attending her etiquette classes. Aasis never saw the importance of knowing which of the 4 spoons to use over the other, but she wanted to know more about baking and what metals should never be cooled in water, as well as learning to survive on her own. Determined, Aasis began spending more and more time out of the palace, finding friends in different local shopkeepers and learning several traits, as well as getting them more business simply by being there. With this myriad of skills, Aasis had learned enough to fend for herself in the forests that surrounded her kingdom, and had learned valuable trade and bartering skills that would see her to the top of the list of heirs for the throne. Her siblings never envied her, though. They thought she had been a genius for finding out all of this without their parents help, and that she would make a great leader one day, albeit the shortest leader they had ever had. When she was told that she was to be going on this diplomatic mission to the new planet Aasis literally jumped for joy, thanking her parents and siblings and kissing them all goodbye. Before she left, she made sure to thank all her friends outside the castle walls, and boarded the ship determined to make as many new friends as she possibly could. When she was alerted that the home planet had been destroyed, Aasis swallowed her emotions and worked diligently to feed her new comrades. Keeping them all bathed and fed while they coped with the newfound loss, and kept her own depression locked inside herself. She hasn't forgiven herself for being the sole survivor of her family, or her race. Personality: Aasis is a happy-go-lucky soul who finds the bright side in any situation. She doesn't let her disappointment or sadness show so that she can cheer up everyone around her. She doesn't let much of anything bother her, and when she truly does get sad or upset she tries her best to hide it. She will confide in her friends however if the situation is dire she will place their well-being over her own to make them happy. She refuses to cry in front of anyone, seeing it as a sign of weakness and a sign that she isn't good at what she tries to do, which is make others laugh and smile.
