Cain
"The Fallen Son"

Coal Vipera
Rust Shimmer
Gold Spines

Cain is the troubled first son of the Captain, Nethlin. The heir to the clan and one of the few surviving children of the leaders. Pressured and surrounded by rules, regulations, and the weight of his father's disappointment, the young Tundra struggles to find himself out of his father's shadow.

Cain has a bit of a short fuse for a temper, and not willing to be close and personal with anyone, except for Abel, his youngest brother, and last surviving sibling. Cain finds it hard to connect with the other dragons in his clan, wanting to be the leader his father wants him to be, but also wanting to be his own dragon and forge his own destiny that has no strings attached.

The Tundra enjoys chewing on Light's Breath while on patrol across the plains surrounding the clan's dens. Sometimes, when no one is looking, he pounces and hops after grasshoppers in the dry grasses on the rolling hills.

Abel
"Forgiving Brother"

White Cherub
Gold Hex
Fire Basic

Abel has always been a gentle soul. An illegitimate heir to the throne, Abel cares not to become upset at the loss of being in line to inherit. Instead, he'd rather pass the time with his older brother, Cain, or spending time outside exploring.

The young dragon was made blind years ago in an unfortunate accident, claw marks now marking the place of pain and disagreement. While unable to see, Abel does not let this control his life. Always upbeat, always willing to try anything new, Abel convinces his brother to come explore the world with him, and perhaps, hopefully, meet new dragons.

Evanel wrote:

Evanel
"Warmth of the Sun"

Ivory Crystal
Gold Facet

A fair and gentle dragon lady, Evanel had traveled far after her husband's death, unable to stay in the den where his presence was most abundant. Instead, she turned to exploration, until she had happened upon the Clan of the Withered Plains, where she had felt compelled to help these rag tag group of dragons clinging to life through their clawtips.

Viridis wrote:

Viridis
"Absent Minded Alchemist"

Leaf Giraffe
Violet Toxin
Banana Crackle

The young Tundra had been born and raised in the forests of the Shrieking Wilds, but he had long since escaped the confines of his father's overbearing shadow and his mother's violent tendencies. Once matured, he packed up what he could carry, steeling his nerves of the road ahead, and thus Viridis had set out on his own path. He wanted to explore, to find his place in Sornieth, and to find who he was when not dictated by his parents.

Viridis is a superbly smart dragon, just like his father. The Tundra had always wanted to test and learn the possibilities of his talents. To stretch his mind (and his freedom). He has entrusted the position of second in command with his 'adopted' son, Vesper, and is working on training the younger Tundra to one day take over as protector and leader of the Haven in his stead. Thanatos is a gentile, trusting dragon by nature - but was raised a a soldier. He will do and sacrifice all for the sake of his clan. Most may view him as too serious, but he has a secret sense of humor that very few get to see. A lover of all life, the Tundra can often be caught teaching the younger generations the value of protecting life over needlessly taking it away. His current project is breaking through to Mallum and finding the kindness hidden in the damaged Tundra's darkened heart. A lover of the sun and the warmth of it on his fur, Thanatos can often be found sunning himself while enjoying a large stack of fresh apples - or playing with the Haven's hatchlings in the rain, splashing in puddles and catching the droplets on his tongue - when not tending to his leadership duties.

Koal "Trusted Friend" Silver Piebald Tomato Paint Ivory Spines ----- Having been raised in a nest of Tundras, Koal has developed traits that most Skydancers would find strange and unnatural - like purring. Born with a playful and understanding soul, Koal has a natural talent for befriending any dragon she meets - at least in most cases. Always there with an understanding ear, sturdy shoulder and kind word, most of the Haveniers have taken to Koal as their confidant. She's also a favorite with the hatchlings, for her stories and games. Younger sister (by 5 minutes!) to Cain, and elder to young Abel, Koal is more apt to wrestle and play than act ladylike. Often to her father's distain. Koal loves her brothers dearly - more than anything in the world - but is a free spirit at heart. This is often the cause of friction and arguments between herself and her big brother. Koal has an affinity for sweet things, but her favorites are strawberries fresh off the vine. She also loves scorpions as a mid-day snack (must to Cain's disgust). Despite her being a Skydancer, the young female dragon also has a love for salted antelope on occasion. A naturally loving dragon, Koal has a tendency to mother her best friend, Mallum, and can often be found chastising him like a hatchling for his behavior.

Malum "The Lost Soul" Black Bar Black Daub Platinum Spines ----- Raised in a clan infected with the Dracolycanthropy Virus, Mallum is a dark and angry dragon with a broken past. Born with the infection and raised to hunt, kill and even eat his fellow dragons. Despite this darkness, Mallum still managed to demonstrate a kindness that could not be beaten out of him. These will be the characters that the player, JadeJaws, will roleplay for the duration of this particular thread

Thanatos wrote:

Thanatos
"Captain / Commander"

Brown Bar
Platinum Daub
Beige Underbelly

Though he is leader of the White Oak Haven, Thanatos is a simple dragon with simple wants; his clan safe and fed, to provide a safe place for misplaced dragons and to one day have a family and a nest of his own.

Koal wrote:

Koal
"Trusted Friend"

Silver Piebald
Tomato Paint
Ivory Spines

Having been raised in a nest of Tundras, Koal has developed traits that most Skydancers would find strange and unnatural - like purring.

Malum wrote:

Malum
"The Lost Soul"

Black Bar
Black Daub
Platinum Spines

Raised in a clan infected with the Dracolycanthropy Virus, Mallum is a dark and angry dragon with a broken past. Born with the infection and raised to hunt, kill and even eat his fellow dragons. Despite this darkness, Mallum still managed to demonstrate a kindness that could not be beaten out of him.

After inadvertently rescuing Koal, Mallum has slowly been fighting against the infection in his blood. Though it is hard - and most of his new clan fears him, Mallum is slowly changing and becoming a new dragon. Koal has been his biggest influence, and he often looks to her for guidance and doesn't fight when she scolds or admonishes him for negative behavior, knowing deep down that she only wants to help.

Since joining the ranks of the Haven's Hunters and Rangers, Mallum has discovered a deep love for fresh berries. He's also discovered an affinity for teasing Koal and protecting this new clan of brightly colored dragons fro the dangers of the world.

Iram wrote:

Iram
"The Innocent Savage"

Black Cherub
White Peregrine
Blood Thylacine

Born of the same clan as Mallum, but not born infected as his clan-brother was, Iram never quite fit in with his old clan. He became infected much later in life than most in their old home, thus the virus has not spread as deeply into his blood, though he still must learn to fight the infection if he wishes to live outside his previous 'home'.

Growing up, Iram always looked up to Mallum for his strength. When Mallum left their old clan, Iram didn't hesitate to follow his clan-brother to the safety and strangeness of the White Oak Haven.

Despite his dark upbringing, Iram is innocent to the ways of the outside world. The bright colors and lax ways of the Haveniers frighten him, and he'll discover a new worry as he grows attached to these new friends - a worry for their safety.

Cougar wrote:

Cougar
"The Silent Hunter"

Soil Ripple
Chocolate Current
Brown Thylacine

Not much is known about this quite Wildclaw - not even by his clan-mates - other than his loyalty, strict nature and wariness of strangers. Cougar spends most of his time - by order of his Captain - watching over the sons of his leader, to both protect them and keep them out of unnecessary trouble.

Cougar is uncertain of this alliance with the two Havens, especially due to Mallum's presence and dark history. Cougar agreed to become part of the Ambassador party solely for the purpose of protecting his Captain's children - both Cain and Koal.

Cougar's main purpose in the clan is as a hunter. Following under Cherubim's command and by Carnis' side, Cougar helps to gather food necessary for the clan dragon's survival each day.

He would be lazing in the warm, afternoon sun as he listens to Abel chatter on about what sunshine feels like on fur. Cain would be snarly, in a gentle way, replying back that he knows how it feels because he is feeling it right now. It would be a soft back and forth between them, no danger in sight among the long and soft rolling plains, Abel nudging his shoulder now and then as he talks on and on about anything and everything. Yes, Cain wishes he was back there, back home on his job where no danger threatens his clan and his day is spent with his brother, whom he is starting to understand day by day, but instead Cain is here, on the edges of the forest trees. Long boughs and leaves blocking the sun from reaching his dark fur. It definitely wasn't as warm as it could be standing in the full, bright sun. The Tundra sighs, padding away from the tree line to stand at the edge of the shadows the forest edge makes, stretching out his neck to catch some rays on his face. The Guard Captain of the Clan of the Fallen Light closes his eyes as he soaks in the sun, his ears picking up on his surroundings. He hears Cougar, the rich brown Wildclaw slowly moving around him, checking the perimeter of the tree line to no doubt try and detect movement in the forest. The male Wildclaw moves on over to Cain's left. To the upper right of the Tundra he hears the crunching of dried grass. No doubt Phasma was rolling around on the ground to soak up the rays. Cain was a little jealous at how casual the female Skydancer could be at this moment. Cain sighs again, wanting nothing more than to flop himself on the ground and roll around himself, but being the Guard Captain and leader of the three dragon party to meet up with their neighboring Nature dragons for trade goods put limitations upon him. The Tundra opens his eyes and they immediately readjust to the harsh light of the prairie sun. He swivels his head to look behind him, trying to catch darting shadows among the trees. He shudders. Give Cain open, flat prairie land and sunlight any day over the shadowed leafy boughs of trees and cool shadows. Even the tempting waft of flowers coming from inside the forest could not draw Cain in. He would not live in a forest anytime soon. The only reason why he was here was to be a leading example to his father, leader of the Fallen Light, and his dragon kin that he was leader material, and that he could uphold responsibilities given to him...It might also have to do with Cain's sister, who had recently made her own Life Path journey into a Nature Clan's open arms. The very Nature clan that they were meeting up with to trade their goods. Cain hears Cougar laughing softly at him from somewhere, and the Tundra simply rolls his eyes before plodding his way back towards the tree line once more, awaiting the arrival of the Nature clan's own three dragon party. Hopefully he will be able to gain news from his sister and be on his way, back to prairie and back to Abel. His brother always has wonderful and inventive stories. Youth does that to a dragon.

This was a meeting to trade their goods despite their family relations. Cain is smiling, though, when Koal bounces off of him, shaking his huge head, his spines rattling against each other as he does so. The smile drops off his face when he sees Malum. That no good dark dragon from the Dracolycanthrope clan was nothing but trouble. That's what Cain thinks, anyways. Those lycanthropes are a war clan, rotting from the inside out, and Malum had been one of their death warriors, marching across the land and killing. Cain had proposed to his father several times that they should amass an army, make connections with other clans that have more guard support and march against those rotting clans and wipe them out for good. That clan is nothing but trouble, pain, and death and would be better served in a grave six feet under. Better served as a night tale told to children to better behave. His father, though, only shook his head and had looked upon his son with sadness, with disappointment, then makes a statement about the value of the life of the living. Cain has a hard time understanding that, leaving his father's den that day, angry and upset. Cain ignores Malum and his greeting, turning to his sister instead. He subtly checks her over, see if she is alright physically and if he could tell if she was alright mentally from her body language and mannerisms. Cain didn't like it that she had gone to another clan where he couldn't watch over her, but it had been her choice and she is of age to leave. I want to get back out in the sun as soon as possible, if you know what I mean. He grins, showing off his sharp, elongated canines. The male Tundra pulls out the goods from one pack, presenting it on the ground. There was a lot of antelope this time around, so we have some salted meats to trade in exchange for some more medicinal herbs. Evanel was asking me to obtain some since she is getting low in her stock. Jensen: The male Skydancer prances silently behind Malum, not wanting to incur the dragon's slightly grumpy wrath. He was very grumpy! A huge grump! He let Koal get away with a lot of things, so her shooting on ahead and tackling her brother was a valid excuse. Jensen had none of those, and would receive the stink eye treatment from the darker dragon if he had trotted on out. Besides, Jen doesn't know these dragons very well. He hadn't been on the last meet up team for last month, having been watching over his young charges in his single home den. Since he had no young dragons to look over right now, no new babies born for him to look after, Jen was given the task to go and meet new dragons and help with the trade. He doesn't know how he feels about this, considering that most of the village doesn't trust him around anything except hatchlings. It had been an accident that they had witnessed him caretaking some wynlens. They didn't believe him otherwise when he told them so. Jen.... was a bit of a klutz. He was no help to Hephaestus in his forge, and he was no help with engineering. He may have almost blown up the apothecary den when he mixed some herbs together with some material that apparently WASN'T supposed to be mixed.... so yeah. He was not allowed to touch ANYTHING other than the hatchlings. So for him to be given this job in meeting up and trading some goods, it surprises the light colored dragon. He prances on the spot, sitting down on his rump with a "thump", but then standing back up, unsure of what he was supposed to do. All three of them that came to this meeting had packs slung across their backs and chests full of trading goods. It had been a little walk, so Jen was a bit worn out, but he had an itch that was taking predominance, so he finds a tree and tries to discreetly rub his rump against. If one has an itch, one needs to scratch it. That was Jensen's philosophy. ( @JadeJaws )

Hey Girlie, he says softly, for her ears only. Let's see what we have for trade today.

Jensen:

The male Skydancer prances silently behind Malum, not wanting to incur the dragon's slightly grumpy wrath.
