Melrose had expected the ring, and the fans he was more than willing to part with, but the treasure had come as a surprise.

Such a meager amount? What was..?

Ah, the Imperial was filling out his profits.

Well, Melrose knew that, and he also knew that the book was very rare.

He knew good trade when he heard one. And, as a merchant, wasn't the Imperial entitled to what it took to keep him in business, when fairly acquired?

It wasn't like the items were being put to much use in his lair.

It was then that Melrose heard those two Coatl twins talking about fireworks. Then they were calling for a volunteer, and a teenaged Skydancer was roughly pushed forward.

This was going to be trouble, wasn't it. Melrose thought for only an instant before nodding to the Merchant in agreement and making the trade.

@Dragonsrkewl @astralTempo @Lambychan @Mirrorface ((I think I'll just... Scooch over and... -hops in-)) The tiny Fae ducked and wove through the bustling crowd of dragons gathered in the market, her wares bundled up in her vest and tied down efficiently with a Rippling Cloth. Her frills flicked to and fro with excitement - her clan was trusting her enough to set up shop and earn them some... Er.. Stuff! Yay! But then again, what if she accidentally crystallized a customer? What if nobody showed up because they were scared of her?? What if... Sheen shook her head. Today would be fine, and she would get a lot of stuff, and her clan wouldn't have to waste a lot of time getting bugs tonight or be pestered relentlessly by Kerowyn to try her new soylents. The Fae, spotting an empty booty, immediately veered over and landed behind the counter with a satisfied sigh. Placing her vest bundle on the table, she surveyed the surrounding booths, looking especially curiously at a pair of twin Coatls who seemed to be calling a troublemaking Skydancer up to their booth for some reason. Strange. She was probably going to watch them for a while. After she set up her stand, of course! A bit of Sheen's giddiness returned, and she began to unravel the Rippling Cloths crisscrossing the bundle, sliding her vest back on her shoulders once it was successfully untangled. The cloths themselves were actually banners, of a sort; on one side, they seemed to be perfectly unblemished, but on the other, elegantly slanting script boasted "the finest, most delicately crafted sculptures in the eleven regions!" and "pieces of art so lifelike and mysterious that even the Arcanist would be baffled!" Sheen tacked up the banners with care, stringing a bit of Glowing Pocket Baubles onto the little wooden knobs stuck out of the mostly smooth surface. When she was satisfied, she began to delicately set up an assorted variety of what appeared to be crystal sculptures. Crystal flowers, their petals curling skyward gracefully, dotted the outer edges of the stand; behind them stood little familiar figurines, proud Owlcats, wise Greatshells, adorably fluffy Fox Rats. Even a peculiar-looking Boolean sculpture was put in with the rest, it's large eyes looking at all those who passed by curiously. Satisfied with her display, Sheen sat down behind the stand with a sigh of relief, and turned her attention towards the Coatls and the Skydancer. To her surprise, it seemed that two other dragons had also caught onto the commotion; a small Fae and an Imperial (who was far larger) had turned their heads towards the Coatls' booth as well. ((Oops, long post. Sorry!))

The twins casually circle the other.
"Prepare to witness quite a feat!"
"We promise it's rather neat!"
"So we will dance to a beat!"
"Please attempt to stay in your seat!"
They gave a devilish smile towards the skydancer, breaking into duet.

I:'You think you're so clever Mister oh my,'
B:'Clearly something went wrong in your plan,'
I:'Can you keep on your paws?'
B:'will you slip will you fall?'
(both):' Or will you greet a sad and melancholic defeat?'

I: 'Oh Mister prankster you're a toughie,' (Izolde slid past the teenage skydancer and gave him a rough shove with her flank, bouncing him into her sister.)
B: 'But you couldn't listen to the roar you SCREAMED!' (With a sharp yip the other sister let out a cry into his ear and headbutt him to the ground).

The twins slowly circled in graceful movements around him, tongues slithering out briefly as if to portray their malice.

I: You know you're not so rough
B: You couldn't even Cuff! (Brohl proceeded to swat the Skydancer over the ears)

Both: So why did you pick us as prey?

I: We're slyer than an emerald striker
B: We're colder than a late winter eve

I:You can't match our step (Izolde made a show of stepping down harshly on the teenage dragon's foot)
B: You're truly so inept! (With a flick of her tail, she whipped the skydancer on the back).

Both: Because darling....You can't scare me~~~~~

Jupiter stood still as they began circling him, watching them and growing more nervous with every second.I don't know what they're planning, but I don't like it. Their smiled gave him the creeps and he wanted nothing more than to fly off the stage. He turned and looked back and forth between the two dragons, trying to keep up with their swift movements.

"Hey, what are you- Ow!" He was cut off when the Coatl shoved him, stumbling and tripping over his own feet. His ear rang at the sound of the other's yelling and before he knew it his body fell over with a thud. Growling, he raised his head and attempted to stand back up, only to get smacked in the ear. He couldn't even keep up with the Coatls' movements anymore.

The Skydancer hissed in pain when he felt a foot stamp down on his own, swinging his head around to face the Izolde. Before he could open his jaws and snap at her, he felt a tail whip his back and he roared angrily, dropping his head back down onto the ground. His ear was still ringing and his body ached from all the beatings he had just taken. He wanted to attack the Coatls, but he was too sore and tired. "Alright, you've proven your point," he grumbled, rubbing his ear.

Sria put herself between the Skydancer and the Coatls, guiding him more towards the crowd while Meadow went up to the twins. "I don't think he'll be pranking you two again anytime soon," she said to them. "Since you're the Firecracker Twins does that mean that you sell fireworks?"

Sheen's curiousity soon turned into amusement as the twin Coatl's began to sing in a duet, pushing the unfortunate Skydancer around and stomping on his talons, whipping his back, et cetera, et cetera.

It wasn't long before the Skydancer surrendered and muttered something along the lines of, "Alright, you've proved your point," while rubbing his likely now-sore ear.

He was abruptly taken off the spotlight by an Imperial and a Wildclaw, the latter escorting him back into the crowd and off the stage while the former eased herself into the space between the spot where the Skydancer had once stood and the twin Coatls, who had finished their duet with a flourish.

Her words were clipped but somehow curious-sounding, as she made an inquiry about whether or not the 'Firecracker Twins' sold fireworks, as their name so advertised.

Sheen scoffed a little bit inwardly. If they really didn't sell firecrackers or anything of the kind, then surely their name was falsely advertising their wares. The Fae honestly hoped that this was not so, but a little, tiny part inside her kind of hoped they really didn't sell fireworks. It would definitely help her sell her wares quicker, that was for sure.

Speaking of her wares, the Fae noticed with alarm that she had accidentally tipped over several of the sculptures while she had been watching the Coatls' performance. Hurriedly, she righted the sculptures that had been accidentally knocked over, including a surprisingly well-reproduced statue of a Smoke Gyre and a delicately crafted Maiden's Blush.

After making sure everything was upright and in order, Sheen turned her attention back to the Coatls' stage, curious as to why the Imperial had asked them that question. Was she seeking to buy firecrackers? If so, why?

Jupiter allowed the Wildclaw to lead him off the stage, growling softly in annoyance the entire time. His right leg was sore from being stepped on and he winced whenever he stepped down with it. "Thanks," he muttered to Sria. "What's wrong with those dragons? It was a harmless joke. I don't think I deserved a beating for it." He frowned at the ground as he limped back towards the crowd that had been watching him the entire time. "What are you looking at?" he grumbled at them with a hiss, causing some of them to look away.

The Skydancer glanced over at Sria with a blank look. "So, why exactly did you help me?" he asked her, sitting down beside a booth that a white female Fae had set up. "You don't even know me." He glanced over at where the Coatls were and narrowed his eyes at them, clenching his teeth angrily.

Sria nodded in response to his thanks, sitting next to him and taking note of the booth they were by.
"Eh, well Meadow and I couldn't just watch," she responded, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm all for retaliating, a prank for a prank, ya know, but you didn't deserve the beating. 'S tough, being a young dragon. 'Sides, it's better we intervened before Revak saw what was going on." She shook her head, smiling, "He's got a temper somethin' fierce."

(Not quite sure what is fully going on so I'll just set up shope if you don't mind :3) An old Imperial walked along, carrying upon it's back a sashed cauldron and a myriad of ingredients and formed trinkets. This was Shuriken, the Alchemist of the Evening Clan. He spent a majority of his time working upon his pot, his claws glowing a yellow golden color that denoted said work. Around his being, a small sprite flicked back and forth, a Light Sprite. It sat upon one of his massive horns as the Imperial began to set up shop. In exchange for a variety of materials, he'd mix and smelt out a new object for the customer. He needed no treasure, just curiosities. He sat down once his stall was set up, his body largely hidden by the long dark cloak he wore, while his golden claws tapped the edge of the cauldron which bubbled with a dark violet brew. The light sprite put out a sign that simply said. "Open for Business."
