@dreamclaws

hi! yesterday i noticed that after or around the time that i sent in some 1tr dragons, my position on the Levels leaderboard was wiped from ~700 to being blank. if there was any counting error, maybe i could help by reviewing the PAs i've sent? i've been sending to various different receivers, so if there's anything i can do to help lemme know!

Hey there, I saw at the beginning of the raffle thread there was a chart for 'raffle payouts'. I'm relatively new, so I don't know what this means; what are the "levels"? Could you explain the chart system to me?

Hey @Axolotl62
I'm not dreamclaws but I think I can help you out!

You know how when you exalt a dragon, the site gives you treasure? This amount varies based on the level of the dragon. Levels are gained by battling in the Coliseum.

This week Fire Flight is attempting to exalt as many dragons as possible to get the top dominance spot, so we would like to exalt your dragons for you! In exchange, we'll buy them for about what you get for exalting them, and give you tickets for the raffle to sweeten the deal.

It's a lot easier to have a flat rate per level, so that's where the chart comes in. Payouts can also fluctuate between flights, events, and how competitive a battle is so it's always a good idea to check against the current chart.

There are also site-wide exalt bonuses that change daily, and this gets factored into the price of the payout. Note that gene bonuses apply to modern dragons only.
The bonuses can be found on the front page under the Random Dragon feature, and for convenience are listed on the chart as well.

For example, lets say you have five level 6 dragons, and one of them is an Aether (today's breed bonus) that you'd like to send in for payment and tickets.
You would check to see who is online on the spreadsheet and send those dragons to whoever is accepting at the moment.

A private auction might look like:
Dragon 1 - 10000T
Dragon 2 - 10000T
Dragon 3 - 10000T
Dragon 4 - 9G (because in this example you want some gems too)
Dragon 5 - 11250 T (the breed-bonus dragon: 10000T + 1250T bonus)
You would also get 310 raffle tickets out of this exchange.

If you want the payout, but are not interested in the raffle, you could send to our Public Buy instead, which has a different chart with a higher payout.

Or maybe you don't like to battle in the coliseum but are very interested in the raffle, so the example dragons are now five level 1s.
You could send them through a 1-way CR trade, or a 1T PA and get 180 tickets
(if I've done my math right here... 5(3*10)+(3*10) bonus)

I hope that answers what you were asking!

I'd also like to add to RuthlessCata's response by clarifying that Levels (on the spreadsheet) specifically refers to the total number that your dragons have been trained to!

If you send in 10 dragons that are at Level 5, that's 50 Levels.

It's also possible that you can send in 10 dragons that are trained to Level 7, which then would give you 70 Levels.

There are some forum posts out there that discuss which is better. If your goal is to sell/exalt more dragons within, say, 6 hours, you're better off leveling each dragon to 5. The payout is lower but you can get through more dragons in the same amount of time than if you were training them to Level 7. But now I'm getting a bit off topic since that's not really what you were asking about LOL

But yeah, that should explain why two different FR players could possibly have both sold the same number of dragons but have entirely different Level scores!
