Prizes! more to be added as the week goes on
One of the best features of Flight Rising! Familiars are the constant companion of dragons, and stick by their side at all times. Once a familiar is assigned to a dragon, you can click the heart next to them and bond with the familiar once a day! Bonding rewards you with chests each time the heart bar is filled up! Familiars can be obtained through the Coliseum, in the Marketplace, Auction House, or through chests.
pick three! [item=pyswurm] [item=blooming strangler] [item=sunspot clouddancer] [item=squall rasa]

Although most familiars are easily obtainable, there are lots that take a bit more work! These include Kickstarter familiars (given out to people who backed the Flight Rising Kickstarter way back in 2013), gem familiars, which can be bought in the gem marketplace, and elemental holiday familiars, obtainable only during flight holidays or on the Auction House. This list also includes gathering familiars, ones you can only get from a gathering category.

only obtainable through scavenging or on the AH

Dragon apparel and accents are one of the most important and accessible features of Flight Rising. Apparel gives your dragon character, and can make them look like anything from a crazy cat lady to pampered nobility. Accents and skins are abit harder to find, but they give your dragons a special uniqueness that apparel just can't add.

Until recently, vistas were only obtainable from winning contests on FR. Because of that, there's some really old dragons around. Every dragon has its own unique ID; this is what number it is. The dragon with ID number 1 is the Earthshaker, signifying he was the first dragon on this site. Because of how many dragons are born everyday, dragon ID's are currently into 8 digits - that equals more than 10 million dragons! Older dragons, atleast 2 years old, are 7 digits, and 3 years old are some 7 digits and below. The lower digit the ID is, the more the dragon is worth! 6 digits currently sell for anywhere from 200-3000 gems.

donated by the lovely Ratiasu!

Gems genes can only be purchased with Flight Rising's premium currency, gems. They can be bought through the gem marketplace along with other gems items. These are considered rare genes, since they have the lowest chance of being passed onto offspring when compared to basic or treasure genes. When gem-gened dragons are bred with each other they have either 100% or 50% chance of being passed down. Even though they're considered rare through breeding, gem genes are not in fact rate among the dragon population. Most gem-gened dragons are down to affordable prices in the AH after 3-5 months of the gene's release. All current gem genes include iridescent, shimmer, crystal, facet, circuit, glimmer, butterfly, petals, and stained, along with the newest two, metallics and alloy.

donated by Hiame! ♥

Gen one dragons are extremely popular among players since they have no messy family tree. What's a gen one you ask? It's a dragon with no parents, like the two you started out with. Other than making your progen dragons when you first start your account, the only other way to get gen ones is to find unhatched eggs! You can do this by scavenging in any flight territory, and of your lucky enough, you'll find an egg in the corresponding element. All gen one's start out with basic genes, so most people make it a long term project to buy gene scrolls for them. One of my personal favorite is Baldwin's, an alchemy place where, with the help of the the aforementioned dragon, you can make lots of cool stuff! This includes familiars, exclusive apparel, and even dragon eggs and genes!

Along with Baldwin's, Swipp's stand is my favorite Trading Post activity!

A coliseum team is a group of three dragons that take on enemies in coliseum venues. Enemies drop trinkets, food items, battle stones, or rare drops like eggs and forum vistas. During Flight Holidays, they can also drop the holiday currency. Many players use the colisuem as their main source of income by leveling up dragons to be exalted. See 'Taste of Exaltation' below for more details on exalting.
